The Heirs Daughter

I faintly hear someone calling my name, but I'm in a fog, and can't get out of it, I hear them, I feel them shaking me, but my mind is not ready to wake up.

As my mind is processing what happened, I have a father and evil one that probably killed my mother. Remey used me to help my father, he called Isaac 'Sir' like he was his leader or something, he has to be part of Merdique or was he being forced?

My name is actually Adaline, and my mother is J'havia the once queen of all magic, now I'm to take the place of the queen as I was the heir. I have more than one unknown magical powers, and could still be the prophet of Acadia.

Most of all, I'm not alone in this world anymore, I have friends and a whole community that will be here for and with me. I'll never be alone again, but I still need to know what happened to my mother, if she is dead or not, and how she ever came to be with the horrible man Isaac.

There goes someone calling my name again, I just need to get out of this fog. What seems like hours later, I finally come out of it.

Opening my eyes and seeing the sky, I know we're not in the meeting room anymore, with Zaline above me looking down with worry still calling my name.

I croak out an 'I'm ok' as her faces relaxes a bit, and I notice tears in her eyes as she looks around us. I sit up and see why she's crying immediately, there are bodies of guards and some council members lying on the ground, all seem to be dead.

As tears start rolling down my face as well, I frantically start looking around for Buford, then I see him carrying another body outside of the building. He then sees me looking at him and runs straight towards me, grabbing my face in his hands and checking me out for injuries, then just holds me, rocking back and forth repeating 'you're ok, we're ok'.

No visions pop up and I'm glad at the moment, I hold onto Buford like my life depends on it, as I cry harder for the death and destruction all around me really hits. After a few minutes, I calm down enough to look up at Buford, as he helps me up to my feet, still holding onto me.

We are looking at all the people around us, and I see my father's body lying there, he's dead. Not feeling the least bit sorry or hurt for him, then I start looking around for Remey's body. I don't see it anywhere "Buford, is this everyone from the building?"

He looks at me with a sad look and shakes his head yes. "I don't see Remey anywhere! He was down there when I..... I killed my father"

Gripping my shoulder a bit tighter he responds "Zaline filled us in on what happened while you were passed out, you didn't kill Isaac on purpose sweetheart. What happened to you was another ability we don't understand as it's a rare one, but we will all help you learn to control it. Now that you are confirmed to be the heir, and now our queen, we have a long road ahead of us, with all of us behind you every step of the way. As for Remey, I believe he escaped and we will find him and bring him to you for punishment, don't worry" with a smile and those beautiful green eyes of his looking upon my face "I'm always here for you like I told you, I will always be here to protect you"

With one last look at my new found friends and family, the ones that have survived. Buford's mother Claudette, Janelle the Oracle, Zaline, Buford, some guards, and about four faces of the council I recognize from the room, it's time to start my new journey and rightful place as their Queen. My new mission is to find my mother, find Remey and the truth, and reconcile the groups into one, doesn't sound that hard, but deep down I know it will be a tough journey.
