The Heirs Daughter

36 Chapter 35

We have been with Rose for a few hours, she was telling me all about my mother and how she was, some great stories some sad ones. It was getting late so I asked her one last question as promised "Do you know anything about me being Acadia or the prophecy?" Rose looked at me with glared eyes.

"Why do you ask?" so I explained the note my mother left when she left me.

Rose jumps up and starts pacing "She didn't tell me this, You must have had another vision, for her to say that is serious" she eyed me with suspicion making Claudette and Kelvin stand in front of me.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she stopped pacing and looked at me with the glare again.

"Have you fallen in love yet?" I started to panic, that is a weird question.

"Um, why do you ask?" I stand up behind the two and look at Rose.

"They never told you anything? Nothing about the prophecy?"

I shook my head "Yes they told me that if I was the prophecy I could either destroy the world or help it, depends if I turn evil or not. What does that have to do with love?"

She laughed "What does love have to do with it? Why my dear it is the thin line that could turn you evil or keep you sane!" she started pacing again.

Claudette turns toward me with a question in her eyes, and Kelvin stiffens beside me "I think it's best we go my queen" he says out loud.

"Yes it is time you go, I cannot answer any more of your questions. But I do have another question for you to ask the council, my dear... Ask them about who you are supposed to marry!"

I started freaking out at what she said, my body started to glow with my confusion and anger, Kelvin grabbed my hand and carried me outside snapping me out of my mind, I heard Rose gasp and Claudette's footsteps rushing behind us. Kelvin put me in the back seat and they climbed upfront.

"What does she mean who I'm supposed to marry?" they both looked back at me with sympathy and worry, only Claudette spoke up.

"We will discuss this at the house, I am calling the council to meet now" as she started making phone calls, and Kelvin kept glancing at me to make sure I don't explode us all in the car. I sat and thought of everything, My mother is definitely dead, my father killed her, and I killed him, which gave me a small smile for revenging her.

This whole marriage thing confuses me, Is that why Buford keeps holding back? Was my mother forced to marry my father? I am going to be forced to marry some unknown man?

We are back at my house before we know it, and I open the door for everyone to come in, still in a shocking state I find my desk and sit.

I look up to see everyone discussing something silently with each other, and Buford is there looking at me with concern on his face. Claudette stood beside my desk, and Zaline came to hold my hand, grateful I squeezed with a thank you.

Claudette explained the whole conversation to everyone, telling them that it was not confirmed that I was the destined Acadia, but that my mother was in fact dead.

After she finished speaking, they all asked questions and Claudette answered, I was lost in shock and anger not noticing that I started to glow and everyone backing away until Buford called my name, I looked up to him confused, why was he calling my name?

Then I noticed my glow and I calmed down, I looked at all the council and glared "Who am I suppose to marry?" My voice boomed with authority, and I heard some gasp, some audible groans and looked at Buford who refused to meet my eyes.

"We apologize, my queen, we were going to tell you next week before the prospects arrive for approval" I heard one of them say

"Prospects? Do you mean I can choose? Or is this being forced upon me?" I say still glaring at them, why wouldn't they tell me this before? They probably didn't want me to run away before taking the thrown.

"It is our tradition to have the best most powerful prospects from all over the world to come here, the council will do the first round of tests for them and choose three for you to choose from for marriage. The more powerful the husband of the heir the more powerful the next heir will be and they will not target your husband to get to you since it is arranged, no love to target" Claudette spoke up with what I swear was a smirk.
