The Hunter Academy

Chapter 24 - Karttikeya (2)

"So it is like that" Sahazel frowned.

"That's right, this orb is charged with Order attribute. One of the two emperor attributes, your darkness is useless in front of it" Karttikeya smiled scornfully.

"And even having that orb, you decided to hide like a rat," Sahazel said coldly, no expression could be seen on his face.

"Your arrogance is abundant when you can still speak to me in that tone despite being at a disadvantage" Karttikeya mocked.

"If I have so much disadvantage, why haven't you killed me yet?"

Karttikeya frowned but kept quiet.

"It's simple, that orb is single-use. It's probably a one-way orb, your getaway secured once you find danger" Sahazel guessed.

The face, or rather the faces, of Karttikeya became dark. Sahazel seemed to have guessed correctly.

"That's right, that's why I'm willing to spare your life as long as you're willing to let me out"

"Mmm, it makes sense. Considering that the dark attribute can't cope with an emperor attribute, the best option for me would be to let you out without harm. In your case, you prefer to keep that orb to face a being more powerful than me".

"As smart as ever" Karttikeya nodded.

"Let me out then"

"I refuse."

Karttikeya's face darkened again.

"Do you know what you are saying? You will lose your life if you don´t let me out and I will make sure to kill all those who are with you at this moment" Karttikeya threatened Sahazel.

"I would like to see you try" Sahazel did not place importance on Karttikeya's words.

Karttikeya clenched his teeth, he was filled with determination and decided to use the orb to escape Sahazel's hands.

"I invoke the name of the archangel Sandalphon, leader of the Seraphim, the closest to the affairs of the secular world and patron of music. Lend me your power to erase the darkness in front of me."

The orb shone and a white light shot out towards Sahazel. The light consumed Sahazel. When the light disappeared, no trace of him could be seen.

Inside the classroom of class D.

All the students who were waiting in anticipation for the weapon Sahazel was going to draw began to get impatient when they saw that nothing was happening.

"What's taking so long?"

"Ryan's done a lot sooner."

The whispers grew louder and louder, Atalanta didn´t stop them as she was also confused to see that Sahazel was taking so long.

A bright light came from the scroll, blinding all students in the process.

Atalanta was alarmed, her black eyes changed to red and her vision regained. She inspected the room for any enemies but found nothing.

Her eyes opened wide and her pupils shrank, her body trembled and she fixed her gaze on Setanta.

Setanta's blue pupils had changed to yellow, the veins in his neck swelled and his body was spasming. His handsome face began to deform and one arm began to swell.

His body emitted a bestial aura that was being suppressed by the bright light. Atalanta drew her bow and aimed at Setanta, ready to fire at any moment.

A figure appeared in front of Setanta at that moment and touched his forehead with one finger.

"Big guy, you better calm down."

A dark aura surrounded Setanta's body and when it disappeared his body was back to normal.

Atalanta looked at the figure of the person who had calmed Setanta and found it familiar. The man disappeared again and reappeared in front of Atalanta.

Atalanta looked at the boy's face and was surprised.

"Sahazel?"

"I'm sorry but there are things that are better forgotten"

Sahazel touched Atalanta's forehead and her vision darkened, becoming unconscious.

"You're already dead, I wish I could've killed you a long time ago, you f.u.c.k.i.n.g bastard."

Karttikeya sighed a sigh of relief, there was still fear within his mind of Sahazel.

"Now I only have to wait four years before I can get out of here, they'll be done with all the plans by then."

He made a movement with his hand trying to tear the space within Sahazel's subconscious.

Kattikeya frowned as the space did not open.

"What happens, why can't I open the door of the subconscious when he's already dead?"

"Because I haven't died yet" A voice was heard behind Karttikeya.

He trembled and turned to see a Sahazel completely intact, not even the slightest wound could be seen on his body.

"That attack had the strength of one of the 10 archangels under the God of Order, how is it possible that a simple human like you can bear that power without harm?" he asked unconsciously.

"It's simple, but it's long to tell so I'll sum it up for you. After all you are going to disappear forever today" Sahazel spoke to him calmly.

"In the Hindu religion they speak of me as the king of hell and my brother is the first man, this is wrong because we are both the same person."

"That's impossible, your appearances were different!"

Sahazel looked at him as if he were looking at an idiot, hadn't he seen that he could change his appearance?

Sahazel did not bother to answer his question and continued, "Being the first man is metaphorical, I am actually the first man to awaken and overcome the power of a God.

My twin sister Iami, better known as the first woman, was also the first woman to awaken and overcome the power of a God.

I suppose you already know what happened between her and me"

"Your sister tried to have s.e.x.u.a.l relations with you and you rejected her, later it is said that you died and became the king of hell" Karttikeya replied.

"More or less, it's true that my sister tried to have s.e.x with me and I rejected her, but... I didn't die, even though I wish I could have.

My sister and I argued, vowing not to meet again until one completely defeats the other. This gave rise to the concept of heaven and hell, which are the representations of two higher powers.

(It is true that I rejected my sister's advances, but it was because I had no other choice. At that time the concept of siblings didn't exist.)

"Where are you going?" Karttikeya was getting bored.

"Those two higher powers are now known as the only two emperor attributes" Sahazel smiled.

"You mean?!" Karttikeya opened his eyes wide.

"Yes, Order and... Chaos"

The dark aura within the mental space rushed toward Karttikeya, crushing it to death.

"Don't think this ends just because you kill the piece of my soul inside the scrolls, I still have most of it inside my body!" Karttikeya screamed as it was crushed.

Sahazel frowned and the pressure around Karttikeya disappeared.

"Are you an idiot?" Sahazel asked.

"Eh?" Karttikeya asked stunned.

"Aah, normal that the archangels have chosen you to end the Hindu pantheon, it is much easier to control an idiot than any other kind of person" Sahazel sighed.

Karttikeya was going to respond but his face turned pale when he heard Sahazel's next words.

"I told you all this story because I wanted to make time, I already knew that killing your soul inside the scrolls was not going to make much difference so I sent orders to 'her' to look for your main body"

Sahazel waved, a screen appeared in front of Karttikeya.

The legs of the war god shook and his knees fell to the ground. Within the image one could see a body exactly like Karttikeya's, only that he was lying on the ground with a woman sitting on his back.

"P-p-p-please, kill me" Karttikeya begged Sahazel.

"Don't worry, she's already erased all traces of your consciousness in your real body and the consciousness within your souls inside the scrolls is going to disappear soon"

"What are you going to do with my body?" Karttikeya asked.

"Isn't it obvious? A beautiful puppet" Sahazel smiled.

Karttikeya swore that he had not seen a more terrifying smile in his millennia of existence, that was the last thing he thought of before he disappeared.

The smile on Sahazel's face disappeared, he sighed and looked up at the sky.

"Tell me sister, what are you thinking?"
