The Hunter Academy

Chapter 4 - Someone might get hurt.

Atalanta Freccia was an Italian orphan who had shown great talent. She entered Hunter Academy 7 years ago and graduated two years ago.

She decided to become a teacher at Hunter Academy and had been teaching archery for these two years.

She had been appointed as a tutor for the first time this year. She didn't mind the fact that it was class D, as most of the students in class D were talented children without opportunities just like her.

She promised herself that she would take Class D to the highest possible level.

Today was the day Atalanta was going to receive her students for the next 5 years, she was excited and anticipated the moment she would meet them.

She dressed in a teacher's uniform and prepared a short presentation to introduce herself to her students.

"My name is Atalanta Freccia... Hunter Academy is... I hope we get along well for the next 5 years"

Atalanta practiced her presentation minutes before receiving the students. The 3 tutors looked at her with astonishment.

"Atalanta is sure to take it seriously" A man in a lab coat commented. He was Brad Edison, he was the class C tutor.

"It's just class D, it's not worth the effort." A man dressed in high quality clothing commented scornfully. He was Bjorn Hauldr, class B tutor.

"I think all effort is worth it," Brad commented.

"That's just useless effort," Bjorn replied.

"What does Miss Gawain think?" Edison asked.

A lady was sitting elegantly drinking tea. When she was called she looked at Edison before turning her attention back to tea.

"I think I mentioned that I don't like to be called by my family name." A sweet voice came from the mouth of Zuri Gawain, the class A tutor.

"Hehe" Edison scratched his cheek shamefully.

"I think Miss Atalanta has been lucky with her class." A strange gleam went through Zuri's eyes.

Atalanta snorted and the other two sighed. All three were sure that Zuri was mocking Atalanta.

Zuri and Atalanta were from the same promotion and it was well known that they were rivals. Atalanta was the talented orphan and Zuri was the genius of the Gawain family, one was a genius with the bow and the other with the sword. Both Edison and Bjorn were sure they were going to continue their competition now that they were teachers.

Zuri sighed inside. As the next head of the Gawain family, she knew internal affairs about two special students who had entered this year.

This information came from the future head of the Pendragon family. He had already told her as she was his right hand, even those old council farts did not know about these two students.

The door to the room where the tutors of the 4 classes were was opened. A man came in and informed Atalanta that the class D students were going to descend.

Atalanta said goodbye to the other tutors and went to receive her students. She waited with expectation for the students to get out of the cabin.

When the cabin door and the students began to come down. Disappointment covered her when she saw a group of students surrounding an arrogant blond boy.

Hope came into her eyes when she saw a beautiful girl go down the stairs. Unlike the others, she did not surround the blonde boy and kept her distance.

It was obvious that she was an ordinary person with no backing, but she still maintained her pride. Atalanta nodded positively as she was a person who deserved her attention.

Atalanta was going to start her speech when she realized that two students were missing. She began to think that they were probably two other bastards of the nobility.

"Where are the two missing?" she asked impatiently.

She glanced over the faces of the 18 students. She noticed the blond boy who had a strange gleam in his gaze.

The boy stepped forward and spoke out against the two that were missing. She quickly realized that this boy and the other two were opposing each other.

Her gaze was fixed on Fleur, she seemed to want to say something but remained silent. A gleam of disappointment crossed Atalanta's eyes but disappeared quickly.

"Hey, Setanta" The bored voice was heard from the stairs.

Atalanta focused his gaze on the two boys coming down. She was surprised to see them.

Both were obviously level 1, but where did this strange feeling come from?

The tall boy had a cheerful attitude, but she could feel a beast waiting to be unleashed.

The sleepy-faced boy had an indifferent attitude, but she could feel an endless deep darkness inside his eyes. She thought that she was facing the abyss when she look into his eyes.

She knew they were only level 1, but her instinct told her that these kids were much more than that.

Growing up in the forest with a bear, she developed a powerful instinct ever since she was little. This instinct had saved her from countless dangers and had never failed.

Even relying on her instinct, she did not believe that these two 18-year-olds could bring much danger. Curious, she did not pay much attention to the mockery they had made of the blonde boy and decided to put them on test.

"I hope you have a good explanation for coming down so late" She pretended to be angry.

As she expected, the tall guy started looking for excuses. But to her pleasant surprise, Sahazel interrupted him and told the truth without hesitation.

"I was sleeping, he was trying to wake me up"

While everyone was in shock, Atalanta was holding the laugh. To the outside it seemed she was holding her anger.

"I'll let it pass for your sincerity."

"And you" Atalanta pointed to Ryan.

The boy had bothered her quite a bit and she thought she had to teach him a little lesson.

" I will decide your punishment later."

"In this age, we humans must unite instead of fighting each other."

"My name is Atalanta Freccia and I will be your teacher for the next 5 years"

Atalanta took the students to the dormitories. Two buildings of six floors each were in front of them.

"The building on the left is the boys' dormitory for class D, each floor representing the dormitories of each school year.

"The building on the right is the girls' building, it's divided like the boys' building."

"On the first floor are the common bathrooms, training rooms, swimming pool, etc... The first floor is common to all students."

"Your rooms are located on the second floor, in each room are going to sleep 2 people."

"The dorm rules will be explained to you later."

Atalanta explained the basic knowledge about dormitories to the students.

"For now leave your stuff in the room and go down, we have to go to the new school year's presentation."

The school presentation caused a stir among the girls.

"They say the speech is going to be given by the president of the student council," a curious girl whispered.

"Yes, the student council president is the strongest student at Hunter Academy" Another girl commented.

"As far as I know, the president is the future head of the Pendragon family," an informed girl said.

"He is a fourth grader and is already the most powerful, even fifth graders can't beat him when he uses a sword" Admiration was seen in the eyes of all girls.

Setanta and Sahazel were a bit apart from the group but still could hear the girls' conversation.

"Eeh, so that kid is the strongest student," Setanta said in astonishment.

"It seems so," answered Sahazel indifferently.

"Though you speak with indifference, I know you are proud of him," Setanta mocked Sahazel.

"Arthur's talent is comparable to that of the first Arthur, it would be a shame if he were not the student president" Sahazel spoke as if what he was saying was normal.

"Aah, it's true," sighed Setanta. "I haven't seen him since he entered the academy. I wonder how much he's grown," his blue eyes changed color to orange as a bestial aura came out of his body for a second.

Atalanta was alarmed and a bow materialized in her hands. She grabbed it and pointed it in Setanta's direction.

"Miss, I think you should lower that bow or someone might get hurt." Setanta faced Atalanta's bow with a smile.
