The Imposter Princess

Chapter 19 - Delivery

After returning home, she traveled to the fourth floor of her penthouse, where the master bedroom was, and took a shower. Yin XinYi switched into satin pajamas before slipping into her bed covers made of silk. Her bedroom had floor to ceiling windows which gave a magnificent view of the city, but at the moment, they were covered with blinds.

After placing her phone on do not disturb and on the nightstand, she huddled deeper into the silk blankets. She wondered if the old man had taken her advice to recheck the papers but quickly pushed it out of her mind. Whether he had taken it or not, it was not her business. She should not be wasting energy worrying about others. She has a busy day tomorrow. Yin XinYi emptied all thoughts in her and soon, slipped into a deep sleep.

Yin XinYi's eyes fluttered open. The room was bright which offered a clue that it was daytime. Yin XinYi laid in bed for a short while, listening to the honking of cars driving by before rolling over and grabbing her phoen from the nightstand.

She glanced at the time displayed and turned off the do not disturb icon. It was rather close to the time mentioned in an email that Beacon had sent her a few days ago. The email consisted of the time that her purchase would arrive.

There was less than an hour left. Yin XinYi didn't feel like getting up. She was a rather lazy person at heart but external circumstances forced her to act like a workaholic. However, that life was over.

She pulled the blanket off of her and walked to the bathroom to prepare. While brushing her teeth with the hotel's provided toothbrush, her mind wandered to the list of necessities that she would have to buy.

Toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, tissues, pots, pans, cutlery, towels, the list went on and on and on. Groceries would have to be brought. It was rather unhealthy to eat out everyday, even if she worked out.

Yin XinYi glanced down at her clothes. For a split second, she debated on wearing pajamas to greet the delivery man before quickly rejecting it. To fool others, one must fool themselves first.

She was not Yin XinYi at the moment. She was Madison Yin.

She still had a short while before the deliveries came. Yin XinYi walked down to her study on the third floor. She went into tech rooms connected to the main room and sat upon the chair. She turned on her monitor and switched to a luxury car website.

She custom ordered her car and paid for it using her black credit card. Even though there were almost no restrictions upon the black card, it still had to be used occasionally.

Luckily, it was an online exchange, which meant that no one could tell if it was what tier it was. There were no special numbers that determined what card tier it was, therefore, the only way one could tell that they were a black tiered member was through the bank and the physical card itself.

It was a method of security and privacy since usually those truly wealthy do not flaunt their wealth so openly.

On the tabletop, her phone vibrated, informing Yin XinYi of a message. She glanced over it and immediately walked down the stairs to her front door while typing a reply.

The message was from the receptionist requesting permission for the deliveries to be brought up. Naturally, Yin XinYi granted access. She stood by the door, staring at the video feed produced by the cameras in the hallways on her console. Finally, the elevator door opened and two men with loads of white boxes were revealed. As the men walked towards Yin XinYi with the boxes, she swung open the door.

The two delivery men in uniform were surprised when Yin XinYi opened the door due to multiple reasons. First, it was because the door suddenly opened, shocking them, and second, the woman who opened the door was gorgeous. It was clearly her natural beauty, not the artificial type.

They quickly regained their composure but the hesitation and shock was not missed by Yin XinYi's sharp eyes. Yin XinYi wasn't bothered by it. Her face has caused her much trouble in her life but was also an extremely valuable ȧsset.

It is often true that people are kinder to one that is more pleasing to the eyes than one that is not. She was given a perfectly good weapon from birth, why not use it?

Yin XinYi did not care that others may think of her as a tramp, an unruly woman for what they call "seducing" someone. It wasn't her fault that men and women fall for her beauty and simply are willing to make her happy. People are offering to do work for her without her having to lift a finger. They simply see her and fall. Of course, provided that they weren't held back by the rumors that always surround her. .

Their eyes held bits of admiration and attraction. It was very natural. Yin XinYi ignored it. She held no care for such thoughts of people. Attraction was fleeting unless one adores the personality also.

Yin XinYi got into character. Giving a quick greeting, she instructed them to place the boxes on her fourth floor in her walk-in closet. They nodded as they moved the boxes to her will. After returning to the truck parked in front of the building two more times, in order to get the rest of the boxes, they were finally done.

Yin XinYi thanked them and waved them off. They left, still in awe of the gorgeous lady however, it wasn't long before they forgot about her. After all, they were rather busy.

After they left, Yin XinYi returned to her tech room. She went to an online website and started to order her necessities there. Her dinnerware, cleaning supplies and daily items were all ordered and scheduled for same day shipping.

She informed the receptionist and simply told them to leave the boxes on her doorstep.

Yin XinYi prepared to leave her home since she hadn't bought her groceries yet, nor has she exchanged her license yet.

However, most importantly, she hadn't eaten breakfast yet!
