The Kings

15 Staring Won't Be Enough

Although, I knew it was a lie that he just so happened to be in the neighborhood. He stopped by just for me because he missed me. That's because I didn't return home right away after being away for seven years. I was seventeen years old when I left my family behind and began my own pathway. I finally returned when I turned twenty-four, how quick the time had passed already.

I also did make sure to laundry his not even dirty clothes, so it was clean for him next time. Instead, it looks like I would be giving it away.

'Ding'

I grabbed my smartphone off the coffee table in the living room. It was from my best friend who decided to let me know he was still alive after ignoring my calls and text all day. Maybe I should change his contact name under 'Bestfriend' to 'Traitor.'

Bestfriend: [I'm sorry! Don't ignore me. I was busy all day…]

Me: [You do realize I know what you do all day, right?]

Bestfriend: [I swear, I was busy!!! I finally finished the "job" and will be returning sooner than the set date.]

Me: [Really!?]

My best friend return date was almost a month from now, but to be returning in a few days is exciting. I'm surprised he was able to finish his job that fast. It's about to be my part soon to finish the rest.

Me: [I just thought you should know. Mu Yi was "chuckling" at me today.]

I could tell my best friend was hesitating to reply back. His reply was not back to back like a minute ago.

Bestfriend: [OH MY POOR BABY! I pray for a fast and easy death for you.]

Me: [...]

I changed his contact name from 'Bestfriend' to 'Traitor' and sent him a screenshot. I turned off my phone screen when I heard the bathroom door clicked unlock. Mu Yi walked out with a with a towel wrapping around his waist, and it covered his lower part body only. My, my, was it some eye candy! Mu Yi had broad shoulders, muscled arms and those six-pack abs.

"Here," I handed him my brother's clothes and turned the other way. If not, I might have pounced on him. Just kidding...

Mu Yi narrowed his eyes when Yun Anong handed him a shirt and pants for a man. She lived here by herself how come there are male clothing here.

"Whose?"

"What?" I didn't hear what Mu Yi said, my mind was daydreaming off somewhere else.

"Whose clothing do these belong to?" Mu Yi repeated himself without any friendliness in his tone.

The feelings inside Mu Yi was about to run on a rampage until Anong said that it was her brother's clothing. He took a step closer to her to close the gap between them, right after reaching out his hand to take hers.

"Heh, staring won't be enough to feel satisfied. It's better to feel it." Mu Yi teased, making my fingers trace his abs and downward.

"Y-you!" I stammered, pulling my hand back and trying to think of the right words. A little bit more and I would have touched the never return zone.

This time it wasn't a light chuckle but an out loud hearty laugh coming from Mu Yi. I couldn't believe that I heard Mu Yi laughing twice in one night. Is the world coming to an end? Is this where I will die? I think I should have taken my best friend's prayer more seriously. I might need it after all. I shuddered, it's best to go to sleep. Yes, go to bed!

"Kitchen, bathroom, and bed." I pointed to the couch as his bed before slamming the door shut behind me. Behind the closed door, I could still hear Mu Yi trying to suppress his laughter. I bet a CEO like Mu Yi had never been forced to sleep on a couch. To top it off, it was a small couch that his long legs will probably be hanging at the end of it.

Mu Yi had his hand covering his mouth to stop himself from laughing out loud again. He couldn't hold back teasing her when she was staring at his chest. Yun Anong was just too cute. Although, he better calm down or else he wouldn't be able to control himself again.
