The Kings

42 A Moment Of Weakness

Here was the room, 505! I knocked on the door three times before someone had answered. It was a guy who looked to be around Tang Liang age.

"Are you Tang Liang's aunt?" He asked in a soft voice.

I didn't answer his question. Rather, I looked at him up and down. I have never seen this person before. Maybe a new person in the entertainment world?

No matter how impulsive my nephew number three may get, he'll never drink with someone who is not a close acquaintance. Furthermore, most of Tang Liang's friends are well known in the entertainment world. Although his parents prefer his friends to be from the business worlds. Overall, this friend of his did a great job at holding Tang Liang back till now.

It makes me wonder who the hell was the person he was drinking with that night when he bought a zoo. I have a feeling it was someone I might know since he had refused to give me the name. It wasn't like I was going to do anything if I found out. Also, it shouldn't be me who he should be worried about anyway.

When he had opened the door, a strong alcohol stench blew right up my nose. I squinted my eyes, it was powerful enough to make me feel light headed. It appears to be ten times stronger than the smell coming from Mu Yi their room. Immediately, I held in my breath and breathed through my mouth.

I better find Tang Liang quick, or else I might be the person who passed out instead.

I was just about to dive in when someone pulled my arm. My body took three feet back instead of three feet forward. A part of me felt relieved just staying three feet away from this toxic room. Suppose I was not ready to walk in yet?

"What are you doing?" Mu Yi growled, pulling me back to where I just came from.

Or maybe it was the person who pulled me to cause me to feel at ease. I could feel the warmth in his hand. My hand was held tightly, but there was a gentleness to it as well. Mu Yi seemed to have grown taller, his shoulders are broader now, and he seemed to have matured a lot while I was gone. Sometimes it's hard to believe I was away for seven years.

Hold up, I feel like I totally forgot why I was here for... Goodness! Why does this always happen? When I'm so close to retrieving Liang's drunk body. Tang Liang, I guess today wasn't your day to be saved.

"Let go of me. I have to go back there," I forcefully tried walking back towards the direction of the room, but who was I kidding? Mu Yi's strength was ten times mine, and he squeezed my hand tighter. "Ouch!"

"Don't go," Mu Yi's voice came out more like whispered, he was afraid the person she came for wasn't him. It's okay if it wasn't for him. As long as it wasn't the person whose voice was on the phone the other day.

Ah, crap. A moment of weakness just now.

"What?" Mu Yi loosened his grip, he didn't hear it wrong, right? He heard his name, and she's not here for another man? Anong did not realize how happy she made him at this moment. "Tang Liang is back?"

"Yes, follow along." I took his hand in mine, leading the way this time.

There was no point telling him to go away when he wouldn't go obediently. Sorry Liang, there will be another witness to your embarrassing self.

Tang Liang's friend stood at the door confused at what just happened. So I gave him a friendly smile that everything was alright.

While Mu Yi's face was expressionless as always. Though he was feeling ecstatic, Anong is holding his hand willing.

"Shark! Shark! Shark~!" Tang Liang was singing and jumping on the bed, although there was no music in the background. "Where is my phone? I want to purchase a shark!"

Sigh, I used my fingers to massage my temples. "Tang. Liang!"

Hearing a dangerous voice approaching him at a fast pace, he stopped singing immediately.

"Eh, it's Mu Yi!" Tang Liang pointed at Mu Yi before jumping down from the bed, or so he thought he jumped down. Instead, he mistook a step and fell sideways.

"Ahhhhh, not the face!" I let go of Mu Yi's hand and reached out my arms to catch him.

Unfortunately, I was a second too late. Quickly, I held Liang in a sitting up position. Phew, thank god there was no scratch mark on his face. His celebrity face is still intact. Good, Good, Good! He needs this money-making face.

I attempted to lift him up so he can half walk to the hotel room I booked. My house was almost an hour away from here, and it was already getting late.

"Let me," Mu Yi took Tang Liang from me. "To where?"

"Follow me," I was about to leave until I remember Tang Liang's friend. "Did you want a different room to sleep in?"

"A-a-ah, n-no it's fine." He shook his head, "Please make sure he doesn't purchase a shark."

Yeah, I'll make sure he does not purchase a shark! I mean he can, but I wonder if he'll die by my brothers' hand first or his dad for being so wasteful with money. I'm not trying to save him from buying a shark, it was for him not to be murder at such an early age.

"Of course, his phone please."
