The Kings

7 You Are One Fast Runner

Mu Yi gave him a nod back as he was a person with minimal words. While his eye was studying the person standing behind Chen Jian. Somewhere deep down he had a feeling he knew that person.

Mu Yi proceeded to walk closer to Chen Jian even though he hated coming into close contact with another human being. He stopped in track when he accidentally stepped on a cracked phone screen with the ringtone going off. He was about to pick up the phone, except it was suddenly snatched out of his reach.

Mu Yi looked up in surprise to find himself having eye contact with Yun Anong.

Even though Chen Jian was handsome, Mu Yi was on a whole nother level. He had a sculpted face and body, along with his midnight colored black hair that was slicked back. Plus, his long legs that made others mistaken him for a model.

I immediately looked away when I made eye contact with Mu Yi. I picked up the phone call and instantly ended the call after a quick, "I'll call you back."

Then I made the escape of my life. I took off sprinting down the hallway at full speed, except there was Mu Yi with his long legs running after me. It was rather scary to see Mu Yi running after someone. It was always the other way around.

Mommy, help me! The devil is chasing me! I cried on the inside in terror while picking up my speed as well. I never knew I could run this fast! I have been through life and death situation, but this was the fastest I had ever run.

Up ahead, I saw that the elevator was opening up on my floor, so I jumped inside the moment the door opened up. Scaring whoever was in the middle of getting off the elevator too. I felt horrible, so I gave that person a quick, friendly smile before showing him on how to get off an elevator after being frightened.

Meanwhile, I was clicking the first-floor elevator button like crazy. Hoping it'll make the doors close any faster. It seemed to be taking longer than usual for an elevator door to close. At last, seeing that the doors were closing and Mu Yi was still in the distance. I breathed out a sighed of relief. Sadly, luck was not on my side today at all! Right before the door could fully close, it was forcefully sprung open again, by Mu Yi.

The expression I had on my face was disbelief and then ended up giving him an awkward laugh, "Haha Mu Yi, you are one fast runner…"

Unbelievable! I know I'm not the fastest runner, but the way and the speed I was running at could outrun anyone.

"Anong!" Mu Yi snarled, walking one step at a time corning me into the corner of the elevator.

"Can I help you?" I asked, stretching out my left arm to keep him at arm's length.

"No!" I shouted while trying to gasp for air, pushing away Mu Yi away with my free arm. "Don't touch me!"

"Anong…" Mu Yi whispered into my ear with his low and husky voice. He gently nips my left ear and was slowly making his way down to my neck.

Therefore, it caused a loud slap with a red hand mark across Mu Yi's face. I already told him to stop, so he deserved it. I touched my puffy lip that was bitten by him over and over. My big round eyes were moist from the pain inflicted on my lip.

'Ding'

The elevator door opened to the main lobby of the hotel. I bolted out of those doors as if I'll catch a disease by staying any longer. Mu Yi didn't chase after me this time.

Instead, he watched her small back that was running away from him. He touched the left side of his face that was slapped by her and smiled. It was her, the day he thought he saw someone's back like hers near the ice cream parlor.
