Hades actually didn't mind this battle, despite how one sided he was sure it would be. He had fought a dozen soul refining cultivators and beasts at once, wouldn't it be a joke if he lost here? It was the difference of a martial artist and a bodybuilder.

But he didn't mind the occasional duel. It was like a break compared to the high risk, ultra difficulty of 30 versus 1 or targeting a golden core cultivator despite being under the being far under his level.

Recently all he could do in his free time was train and read. He had extensively raised his vocabulary by reading many books. But since he had actually finished the numerous educational textbooks, he moved on to the girls' novels. He felt that such things would increase his knowledge of human societies. Though it was extremely confusing, as he had no idea of what was true and false. In one book there were castles, horses, and kings. In another there were aliens, lasers, and spacesh.i.p.s.

Was there truly an infinite space full of enormous celestial bodies beyond the sky? Or was it all nonsense. Did humans truly fight to the death over a female? He found that such a thing like a mate was unworthy of risking one's life for. Did invincible beasts of his past level truly make their homes in human residences, collect human currency, and capture human females for no apparent reason? It didn't make sense to him.

He had no prior knowledge of human society, so he was unable to tell fact from fiction, modern or historical.

In the end, the expansive literature of humans was too complicated for him to comprehend right away. He'd rather have a good old fashioned fight, that's what he always did best. Using handicaps like no wings, tail blade, soul form weapon, or severe wounds made it a lot more difficult.

But it was surprisingly enjoyable, fighting with rules, having to reassess your every move to be sure you don't break them. It could very well teach him to be more flexible and adapt to human society where rules called laws reigned over most humans.

He watched the cloud of mist, glittering ice crystals flashing in the sunlight, though he couldn't really see that under his sunglasses.

He allowed the mist to cover him. The glasses he wore also fogged up, but it wouldn't matter under the heavy frost mist anyway. He didn't need his vision. To rely only on sight is foolish when you have several other senses.

He suddenly leaped backwards, and a spear of ice pierced the spot he was just standing in. He marveled at the strength that cultivation could bring a creature.

Back in the abyss, the natural elements were also used as weapons, but not without specialized body parts or organs. A prime example was Pluto and the fire glands in his body, and the craters in his body that allowed him to expel it.

There were others like him and his use of wind, and a beast that secreted water from its skin, then froze it to make armor or weapons. Others could generate their own electricity or had natural tools that allowed them to gather and throw earth and stone.

But there were few such things here. It was all replaced with the power of qi. The Snow Veil Mountain Tiger didn't release the mist from inside its body, but distorted natural phenomena with its qi, freezing air and forming spears. Truly mysterious.

He could hear every one of this imm.a.t.u.r.e white Tiger's footsteps, prompting a snort in derision. The white tiger was taking a long time to make its move, allowing all these random thoughts to flow through his mind. It was probably waiting for an opening, but as if an amateur like this could detect any openings he could leave. It could obviously see perfectly in the mist.

He then intentionally relaxed his guard, as if this would last forever otherwise. As expected, the Snow Veil Mountain Tiger pounced straight away, razor sharp soul armament claw at the ready, already tinged with ice qi, more than capable of splitting him in half a dozen pieces with one strike. At the same time a dozen ice spears materialized right above him, and ice crept onto his feet, determined to limit his movements and cause a foolproof ambush.

But of course, Hades was never a fool.

"Fight for another thousand years first, brat!" The White Tiger has a shocked face when its target suddenly turned to face it whilst wearing a diabolical grin unbefitting of his face.

It was naturally not as foolish as Hades made him out to be, and instantly realized it was a trap, but it was mid pounce, and trying to reverse this action was impossible, and anything else would leave irreversible openings. It could only follow through with more ferocity than before, determined to rip the runt before it in half.

But Hades had long since made his move. His feet flew across the ice so that the frost couldn't bind him, and then his tail lashed into the Snow Veil Mountain Tiger's stomach.

The added momentum pushed it higher in the air, making an opening big enough for Hades to slide under, and use the white Tiger's body as a cover from the ice spears.

Unwilling to be skewered by its own ice spears, the White Tiger hurriedly dispelled them, but in the process, neglected Hades below him.

The battle was decided. Hades did not miss this chance, and raked his claws down the opposing Tiger's stomach as it flew over him.

The Snow Veil Mountain Tiger landed on the ground nimbly, before collapsing heavily, a pool of blood slowly gathering below it.

The mist cleared, and student cried in horror at the collapsed tiger in the pool of blood. The wound had already stopped bleeding, as it used the last of its strength to seal the wound with ice.

They then looked to the victorious Hades, who was currently looking at the cap kid, who dubbed himself Qinglong, before smirking deprecatingly at him.
