The Last Slytherin

Neal's life went smoothly with no unexpected events until Halloween. He daily attends to the classes. As they only have at most two classes every day, he has plenty of time to hang out with friends in the break times.

After returning to his room, he studies various spells in the cast-a-spell-kit which he got as a Christmas gift from Draco. Then before he goes asleep, he goes and visits one habitat each day in his suitcase and spends some time with them.

Just like the first year, he keeps practices Potions under Snape's supervision in the morning and going to Library in the afternoons. He goes to Charms club every alternate Sundays for a couple of hours and practices Quidditch when Slytherin books the training pitch. He seldom trains in the stadium as he was instructed by Flint to keep his technique as secret as possible. Since the stadium is open for all, he has no choice but to rarely practice there.

On the other Sundays, he just goes to Forbidden forest and roams around there with his suitcase while trying to visit rare beasts he can and returns with various Potion ingredients that were available inside the forest.

Even though Hagrid says Neal is familiar with the forest, many times, he gets lost somewhere and finds his way back to the castle with Isle's help. He's loved by the animals there as he tends to cure them at the sight of an injured one.

If it's a heavy injury that can't be healed by a healing spell, Neal opens his suitcase and sends it to one of the forest habitats and slowly heal it there with potions. Although Unicorns tend to run away from him whenever they see him as he has a strong affinity towards Dark Magic.

A day before Halloween, he went to meet Dumbledore and finally got his permission to spend the time in the Restricted section after requesting him and Prof. McGonagall for a whole year. With a letter in his hand, he entered the Restricted section on the Fourth floor where he saw sixth and seventh years with a few fifth years.

He didn't mind their surprise and started to look through the books one by one. As he found a book called "Book of Spells" by Miranda Goshawk, he immediately pulled it out and saw the contents which have never seen Spells contained in the Library or textbooks.

He spends there until the evening until closing time and read the book.

On the day of Halloween, while everyone was enjoying the feast, Harry, Ron, and Hermoine attended Gryffindor's ghost Sir Nicholas' deathday party which was very gloomy and made Harry regret his rash decision of promise as they weren't even able to eat anything.

Meanwhile, in Myrtle's bathroom, Ginny Weasley stood before the entrance and spoke in a parseltongue while holding a diary. After opening the entrance of the chamber, she jumped inside and later entered the chamber of secrets.

She spoke in a parseltongue while looking at the Slytherin statue. When the mouth of the statue was opened, She was stunned for a while to see there was no Basilisk inside the chamber.

The next day on her bed, Ginny woke up and murmured, "what a weird dream. Wait a second. How did I return to my room? I was supposed to go to Halloween feast yesterday evening".

She grabbed her head in confusion, "what's happening to me? Why I can't remember anything? Did someone use a spell to erase my memory or something?". Then, she looked at the diary which was beside her and mumbled, "should I ask Tom Riddle's help in the diary?".

As the November entered, the first half of the Quidditch season is over. Harry Potter continued to catch the snitch three times and made Gryffindor stay in the first position with 3 wins. The rest are at second at 1 win each.

The 2nd half of the season started with Slytherin vs Gryffindor. Flint decided to let Neal participate just as they planned before. After training for 6 weeks, Neal finally stepped in the Quidditch stadium along with the team which sure surprised the students who sat in the stands.

It also surprised the Gryffindor team. Not just because of the addition of Neal to the team but also everyone in the Slytherin team have Nimbus 2001 in their hands which Malfoy sponsored again. As everyone took positions, Madam Hooch whistled and threw the Quaffle up in the air to start the match.

10 seconds later, the entire stadium including Slytherins and professors went silent as they saw a Quaffle was thrown into one of the Goal Posts. Everyone looked at Neal like what the.....

As soon as the Quaffle was thrown up. Flint and another chaser flew fast on his Nimbus 2001 towards an open space in the Gryffindor's side. A couple of chasers from Gryffindors went aside to cover them as the remaining one focused on catching the Quaffle.

But before he catches it, Neal caught the Quaffle in a blink of a second and flew straight towards the Goalpost. Seeing this the chasers moved back and tried to move before him to restrict his movements. But before they knew what's going, Neal disappeared right in front of them and appeared behind them and didn't slow down there and continuously made another sharp cut and evaded the twin Weasleys with accelerating the broom and Quickly threw the Quaffle in the Goalpost before even 10 seconds have been passed.

One hour later, the commentator shouted, "Harry Potter catches the snitch and Slytherin wins the match with 240-170". While all the Slytherins are cheering loudly, Neal slowly descended his broom. He slowly walked with Draco's help as the match drained a lot of energy from him due to pushing himself to limits performing the sharp cuts over and over again.

Slytherin began to chant Neal's name who scored 13 goals alone and gave 4 assists in his very first match. While looking at him, Tracey spoke, "I guess Neal, really wanted the team to win". Daphne snorted, "don't spout out nonsense. It's just a facade he's putting up. Don't you know him, already? Since when did he even care about our win? He just wanted to create the record to get more House points. That's the reason he entered Quidditch. Did you forget the last day of our first year?".

Flashback. The day of House Cup.

After Dumbledore announcing Harry 100 points for Quidditch and awarded him 50 points for best in academics, Neal stared at Dumbledore and mumbled, "I guess creating records in Quidditch gives more points, eh".

Present-day.

After going to the waiting room with Draco's help. He sat down while everyone changed their clothes and left. Only Draco, Flint and Neal remained in the room. Then, Flint suddenly said, "everyone has gone, Neal. You can stop it". As Draco got confused, Neal smiled and stood up as if nothing happened which made Draco stumped. he pointed his finger at Neal in a shock, "You... weren't exhausted?".

Flint replied, "him? don't kid around. I overlooked his training you know. His energy levels are way higher. It's just an act we prepared to make them think he has a limit and won't specially train harder than necessary to stop him".

One week later, Neal was in the Restricted section once again. He put back the Spell of Books as he completed it. He only needs to practice the spells in his cast-a-spell kit that has a training room to practice spells.

As he roamed around, he found an interesting book that featured Dark creatures. As he was reading it while sitting in a corner interestingly without making any sound, the librarian briefly walked around and locked the door after the closing time is over.

Neal only realized about the time when it became dark. He went towards the door and found that it is locked outside the door. At first, he wants to get out but then, Neal thought, since it's a weekend, and the next day is the Sunday, he might as well spend the rest of the night reading other books.

He read many books by midnight and while putting back one of the books, he found some letter on the wall behind the bookshelf. Neal felt curious about it. Since no one will come to the restricted section until morning, he carefully puts down the books one by one until he sees the whole letters.

He mumbled, "it's a spell. Petrieseo Arachniego. What does that spell do...." Before he even speaks out his thoughts, suddenly the book self-raised and a door appeared magically. He mumbled, "it's just like the chamber of secrets. Might be an entrance to something. Who knows what might be inside. Let's open it after I come back with enough preparations".

then after trying different things, he finally closed the entrance by speaking the same spell again. After arranging all the books just how they should be, he went towards the door and apparated to out of the door. He mumbled, "I, really wonder why I can only do apparition between the two sides of a wall or a door but not to my room directly?".
