Harry Potter, a child known as the “savior” by wizards in the wizarding world. In his gray life for the past eleven years, he has never felt such a feeling as now, and it can be said that it is truly in the limelight. He remembers the scene when he was led into the Leaky Cauldron by Hagrid: people rushing to shake hands with themselves and show their respect. Although he really can’t remember what he did to make these wizards admire. But what about him.

Harry only knew that he was content and happy now. He dared to say that last night’s dinner party was the best and fullest he had ever eaten in his life.

Kindness? Fullest? Sorry, it should be the most prosperous.

The little wizards here are friendly – except for the little white face on the train. He made his first friend of the same age on the train. The thought of never again running out of food, never again facing Dali’s punches and kicks, never again facing the sneers of Dursleys, never again facing Aunt Maggie’s dog. Thinking of this, Harry felt like he was dreaming.

But Harry soon began to get used to it.

The next morning, from the moment Harry walked out of the bedroom, some whispers had been around his ears. And Harry could feel almost everyone looking at his scars. Between classes and after class, a large group of small wizards will crowd the door to see Harry’s true face. In the hallway, there would be people walking around him, staring at him. Even when he went to the bathroom, there would be a group of people standing outside the door.

Seriously, Harry missed the Dursleys’ stairwell a little bit. Of course, it’s just talk. Moving from one extreme to the other, not everyone can adapt quickly. But fortunately, he has a friend named Ron who will always be by his side to help him out.

Although it was irritating and embarrassing to be watched as a rare animal, Harry could feel that they had no ill intentions. There was no malice, but Harry was really annoyed by the feeling. It was the fourth day at school, and the people around him had not diminished in the slightest.

In order to avoid these “Harry Potter observers”, Harry had to make a dangerous decision: pinching a little to go to class. For this, his new friend Ron seemed a little dissatisfied.

But Harry forgot something very important: he was not familiar with this school of magic. He needs to know how long it takes to get to each classroom, the specific route, and how to walk some stairs to “pinch” to class.

But he couldn’t, and neither could his friend Ron. So naturally they were late for the Transfiguration class on Thursday morning.

Professor McGonagall is a very strict witch, as Harry knew when he first met Professor McGonagall. Perhaps thanks to the resounding name of “Savior”, Professor McGonagall did not punish them. It wasn’t Professor McGonagall that bothered Harry, but a little witch named Hermione Granger. Although he had seen this Miss Granger nagging while on the train, Harry couldn’t stand her chattering in his and Ron ears over and over again that they were wrong and that they shouldn’t. So Harry and Ron decided to stay as far away as possible from Miss Granger, who liked to preach.

Friday was an important memorable day for Harry and Ron, as they finally found the right way to the Great Hall in one go, without losing their way along the way.

“What classes do we have today?” Harry asked Ron, who was sitting opposite, while dealing with an apple pie.

“Potions class with Slytherin in the morning, two consecutive sessions.” Ron’s mouth was stuffed with food, which made Harry a little hard to listen to him.

“Snape is the Head of Slytherin, and I’ve heard he’s particularly biased towards Slytherin students. We’ll see if that’s the case later. ”

That’s when a female voice chimed in: “Oh yes, I’ve also heard Solim say that Professor Snape is very biased towards the students of their house and is very unfriendly to Gryffindor. Solim said that Professor Snape would find every opportunity to deduct Gryffindor’s points. ”

Harry and Ron knew who she was when they heard the voice. The two looked at each other, ready to continue dealing with the food in their hands.

“Wait, you mean Snape will find our fault?”

“Yes, Solim said so, so last night he helped Neville talk to me about the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of Potions class, and he doesn’t fry the pan when Neville boils the scabies potion with his help.” Hermione glanced at Neville, who was sitting next to her.

“Wait, Hermione, who is this Solim you’re talking about?” Ron asked. “Also, you said he helped you and Neville with potions?”

“Were you sleeping during the sorting ceremony? The one who kept talking was him. And he is also Neville’s cousin. ”

“I remember he was a Slytherin.”

Harry and Ron looked at Neville together.

Neville nodded, “Yes, he’s my cousin. ”

“Neville, how can you have a Slytherin cousin, and the students of that house will turn black in the future…” Before Ron’s words could finish, he was interrupted by the sound of owls flapping their wings.

Now Harry is used to it. But on the first day of breakfast. A hundred or so owls suddenly flew into the restaurant, which really startled him. These owls flew around the dining table until they found their respective owners, throwing letters or packages onto their lap.

So far, Hedwig hadn’t brought anything to Harry. He sometimes flew in and pecked Harry’s ear, asked for a small bite of toast, and then flew back to the owl house to sleep with the other owls on campus. But this morning, it fluttered its wings and landed between the jam plate and the sugar jar, placing a note on Harry’s plate. Harry immediately opened the note.

“What was written?” Ron turned his head to look sideways at the note in Harry’s hand.

“Hagrid, it’s Hagrid, he asked me to go to him in the afternoon.” Harry borrowed a quill from Ron and hastily wrote on the back of the note, “Okay, I’d love to see you soon.” Then he let Hedwig fly away.

At the opening banquet, Harry sensed that Professor Snape did not like him. At the end of the first Potions class, he realized he had thought wrong. Professor Snape didn’t dislike him, he hated him.

Potions class is held in an underground classroom. It is colder than the main castle building above. Glass jars are placed along the wall, and the taxidermy soaked inside is even more terrifying.

Snape, like Flitwick, picked up the roster as soon as class started, and like Flitwick, he always stopped when he called Harry’s name.

“Oh yes,” he whispered, “Harry Potter, this is our new—the most famous character.” ”

Draco Malfoy and his two henchmen, Crabbe and Goyle, laughed happily with their hands over their mouths. After Snape finished his name, he looked up at the class, his eyes as black as Hagrid’s, but without Hagrid’s warmth. His eyes were cold and hollow, making you think of two pitch-black tunnels.

“You are here to learn the exact science and rigorous craftsmanship of this potion preparation.” He spoke, speaking in a voice almost higher than a whisper, but everyone could hear every word he said. Like Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape has the deterrent power to keep the classroom in order without much effort. “Since there is no stupid waving of wands here, many of you will not believe that it is magic. I don’t expect you to really grasp the beauty of the simmering cauldron with white smoke and a clear fragrance, and you don’t really understand the magic of the liquid flowing into people’s veins, the heart-wrenching and confusing will. I can teach you how to raise your reputation, brew glory, and even prevent death—but only one thing must be that you are not the stupid fools I often encounter. ”

After his short opening remarks, the class fell silent. Harry and Ron raised their eyebrows and exchanged glances. Hermione Granger almost moved to the edge of her chair and leaned forward, seemingly eager to prove that she wasn’t a fool.

“Potter!” Snape suddenly said, “What will I get if I add Narcissus root powder to the wormwood infusion?” ”

What grass root powder is put in what solution? Harry glanced at Ron, who was just as startled as he was. Hermione’s arms were raised high in the air.

“I don’t know, sir.” Harry said.

Snape pouted contemptuously.

“Gee, gee – it seems that fame is not everything.”

Snape deliberately ignored Hermione’s raised arm.

“Let’s try again. Potter, if I were to go and find me a piece of bezoar, where would you find it? Hermione tried to raise her hand high without leaving her seat, but Harry had no idea what bezoar was. He tried not to look at Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle, all three of them trembling with laughter. “I don’t know, sir.” “I don’t think you read a book before school started, did you, Potter?”

Harry forced himself to stare straight into his cold eyes. He did turn over all the books when he was at Dursley’s, but could Snape ask him to memorize all the contents of A Thousand Magical Herbs and Mushrooms? Snape still ignored Hermione’s trembling arm. “Potter, then what is the difference between Aconitum scaptiform and Aconitum lupum?” At this moment, Hermione stood up, her hand reaching straight for the roof of the underground classroom. “I don’t know,” Harry whispered, “but I think Hermione knows the answer, so why don’t you ask her?” Several students burst out laughing. Harry met Seamus’s gaze, and Seamus winked at him. Snape was certainly upset.

“Sit down,” he shouted angrily at Hermione, “let me tell you, Potter, daffodil root powder and wormwood together can be formulated into a very potent sleeping pill, which is a dose of life and death.” Bezoar is a stone taken from the stomach of a cow and has a strong detoxifying effect. As for Aconitum scaphoid and lupus aconitum, they are the same plant and are also collectively known as Aconitum. Do you understand? Why don’t you write it all down? ”

Then suddenly there was a rustle of fumbling with quill pens and parchment. In the midst of the noise, Snape said, “One point deducted for you bumping into the Professor, Potter, Gryffindor.” ”

Harry saw Malfoy laughing so much that he almost fell out of his chair. The Slytherin students were all staring at themselves with interest, whispering to each other and laughing at themselves from time to time.

That’s when Harry noticed a different person in the Slytherin: he kept his head down and read, neither laughing at himself with his classmates next to him, nor laughing like Malfoy on the verge of falling out of his chair.

“This is a strange person.” Harry thought.

Under Ron’s influence and Malfoy’s appearance, not to mention the impression Snape gave him just now. Harry was indeed filled with disgust and disgust towards Slytherin. But this guy didn’t seem like any other Slytherin.

Potions class went on, but Gryffindor’s situation didn’t improve. Professor Snape had everyone prescribe the scabies potion, but something always happened on Gryffindor’s side: Seamo Finigan had fried his dry pot, Ron didn’t know what he was doing, his crucible twisted into a lump of twist, and Ravendebrang’s crucible emitted a bad smell.

The only people on Gryffindor’s side who didn’t show up were Hermione and Neville, whose crucibles neither exploded nor emitted an unpleasant smell. The potion in the crucible of the two of them was exactly the same as the book said.

In Slytherin, on the other hand, the little snakes were quietly busy with their work. Not as hectic and always problematic as on Gryffindor’s side, Snape had already deducted points more than once for Gryffindor’s problems, counting that Harry had already been deducted seven points.

“Neville, how did you do it?” Ron’s crucible was scrapped, and he couldn’t do anything right now.

“Don’t you know how to read?” Hermione said impatiently next to Neville, “There are clear steps and methods written on the blackboard, I would like to ask you how you did it.” ”

Hermione couldn’t understand it, and the clear steps, the actual method, were written on the blackboard. Why is there always a constant situation on the Gryffindor side. Hermione saw that Solim had bottled his potion and handed it to Snape. And the fastest self on the Gryffindor side and Neville are still two or three steps away from completion.

After class, Harry noticed Hermione and Neville standing in the doorway waiting for someone, after all, the entire Gryffindor had just finished the potion for the two of them, and it was impossible not to attract attention. Harry pulled Ron to walk slowly, trying to see what they were going to do.

Finally the Slytherins also walked out of the classroom, and Harry saw the only Slytherin who didn’t laugh at himself walking towards Hermione and Neville.

“Thank you Solim, if it weren’t for you, I would be finished today.”

“Shouldn’t you thank me, Neville? Don’t you remember what happened last night? Hermione complained. Solim, you don’t know, Neville was just ready to release porcupine thorns in class without removing the crucible. It’s good that I’ve been staring at him, otherwise last night’s incident would have happened again. ”

“Okay, okay, there is no class in the afternoon, what are you going to do?”

Harry heard the voice and finally remembered who Solim was, and he remembered the events of the sorting ceremony very well. Harry signaled Ron not to speak, dragging him behind a corner to continue eavesdropping.

“Solim, do you have time at night? I’m almost finished reading the book you lent me. ”

“Well, after dinner, you go to the old place.” You pick another one yourself. ”

Listening to their voices fade away, Ron couldn’t wait to say to Harry, “Two Gryffindor traitors! So close to those vipers. Harry, what do you think? ”

Harry didn’t think Hermione and Neville would be traitors to Gryffindor, but he also wondered why they were so close to that Solim. Neville didn’t care, Hermione said they were cousins, but why did Hermione join in. Listening to Hermione, they had practiced brewing the scabies potion beforehand last night, so Hermione and Neville could finish Snape’s homework in class today.

Thinking of this, Harry said to Ron: “Leave them alone, I have to go to Hagrid’s in the afternoon, and when we come back in the evening, we will ask Hermione about them, what do you say?” ”
