Elsie was currently in a pinch. She was called by her Kami-sama to escort Fia home since she needed to rest right now when she's about to underwent [Growth]. Haruto and Kaori left together to some place and she piggyback the limp Fia to bring her home.

She didn't want to rush on her way because Fia felt uncomfortable so she decided to take it slow and bought her drinks one the way because she said she's thirsty.

Fortunately Fia's case was not as severe as Haruto since she didn't fall unconscious immediately and could still move if she wanted to but obviously not even a fifth of her usual condition.

The sky's already dark when they sat on a park together with Fia's still drinking a cup of juice Elsie bought for her.

Time passed and without knowing the place they were in already desolated. Elsie thought it's about time they set off again but suddenly a sound of steps were heard from the surroundings.

She tilted her head thinking there's someone coming here just like them and didn't think much. But when she saw multiple figures appeared together around them she was stunned. Only now she noticed the desolate place around them even though it's shouldn't be so late at night.

Without they realizing it they're already surrounded by more than ten hooded figures circling them. Elsie felt scared and she had a bad feeling from them so she grabbed Fia's hand and put her on her back again.

The hooded figures threw some knives on them while some of them dashed forward with claw weapons on their hands. Elsie shrieked and flew off to flee from their attacks and she immediately contact Haruto.

Elsie was dodging the onslaught distressingly while informing Haruto about their condition. They did not gave her the chance to apply invisible magic and stubbornly chasing them around.

Fia g.r.o.a.n.e.d and tried to struggle from Elsie's back to help her but she wouldn't let go so she decided to deflect the incoming projectile weapons with her knives.

Still her movements were sluggish and lack her usual sharpness so some of the needles and knives grazed them both. Elsie shrieked from having her hands wounded by the knife and blood spilled out from the wound, she let out tears in her eyes from the pain. Fia wasn't any better since some needles stabbed her body deeply.

She saw some figures jumped off the roof and aimed their claws and daggers at them.

'This is...bad..'

Just when one of the dagger was approaching close to her, a barrier of light appeared in front of her eyes and repelled the incoming attacks, protecting both of them.

"[Light Severance]"

A cold voice sounded near them. Fia and Elsie looked at the source and noticed Kaori glaring coldly at the hooded figures while casting a barrier magic to protect her companions.

The figures claws were making a scraping sound from hitting the barrier and broken to pieces while they're falling to the ground. They were dumbfounded seeing their weapons crushed by the barrier.

*Byuu* *Byuu*

"-!?"

Rays of light pierces their bodies right through their hearts and brains. Their vision went dark immediately and fell limply.

The other assailants were startled and they looked at both figures who just appeared suddenly.

*Spark* *Spark*

A boy cladded in golden aura sparked by bio-electricity descent in front of the two young girls. His face was emotionless and he stared at them with empty green eyes.

"Haruto-nii...."

"Kami-sama...."

Both Elsie and Fia was relieved seeing him coming to save them with Kaori. Fia formed a slight smile and fell unconscious right away after knowing they're already save.

The hooded figure could be seen shivering from his gaze. When the boy turned to the girls behind him and spotted their injuries the pressure around them strengthen all of a sudden. A massive killing intent as if their heart and lungs were clenched tightly.

"I don't know why are you atttacking them or what your objectives are... But I no longer care about that, die."

He disappeared and grabbed two near hooded figures' head and smash them to the ground, crushing their heads.

The other's shrieked in their hearts and tried to escape but someone stood behind them before they could.

"[Disintegration]"

Just like that another three people bisected on their waist while their body's melted and smoked, disappearing to the air without trace. Kaori already applied healing magic, completely restoring Elsie and Fia's wound but she couldn't nourished Fia's body from the effect of [Growth] recuperation period.

Now only four people remaining and soon two of them were pierced by the boy's hands and he destroyed their bodies afterwards. He wanted to finish the other two but the silver haired girl stopped him from doing so.

"Haruto-kun it would be best if you spared one of them the right one looked a little different he might be the leader we could find out some info from him."

Her words calmed Haruto down and he stopped from finishing the leader of the group, instead fire another finger beam to the other one's heart, killing him.

The leader acted coldly seemingly not fazed by them but the same could not be said inside his heart. His mind was chaotic since he couldn't understand why's this happening. Their targets were the fox girl and the purple kimono girl. They already waited until their supposed guardian, the black haired boy left with unfamiliar black hair woman not included in their information about them.

Even though the boy should be far away already and they successfully driven all the other residents out of the area with illusion magic but why both of them suddenly appeared out of nowhere? And they never informed the boy was such a monster not to mention the other unfamiliar girl too.

Haruto squinted his eyes and dispelled his transformation. He knew this man wouldn't be so easy to spit out information. Just when he thought it would be a pain to get him talk he suddenly g.r.o.a.n.e.d.

"Uuu....ughHAAAA!!"

He grabbed his neck in pain and his mouth was foaming while he screamed loudly. His entire body was convulsing and his skin turned purple before he fell to the ground soon after.

"Did he ate a poison? Typical assassin's group..." Haruto pursed his lips in disgust. Such kind of killer was often found in stories that when they failed the mission they would kill themselves by eating poison, hidden on their teeth.

But he snorted at his attempt and glanced at Kaori, giving her a signal with his eyes. Kaori nodded and extended her hand towards the leader's corpse. Light appeared on her palm and shot forward, hitting the body, lighting it up.

Soon as if time was reversing back, the skin of the leader turned back to a tanned healthy skin and the foam s.u.c.k.e.d up back inside his mouth while his eyes regained light.

"W-What!?"

He was shocked finding himself awoken all of a sudden as if he just wake up from a dream. He was breathing raggedly and moved his head left and right trying to make sense of the situation.

"Good morning, sleep well?" Haruto smiled kindly as if greeting his lovely friend.

The leader gasped and moved his gaze towards Haruto he immediately remember everything and his face distorted from horror. His lovely smile now seemed like the smile of a grim reaper to him.

"Choose, talk right now or die 1000 times and get revived right after? I'll give you ten seconds to answer."
