The Legacy Of Son Goku

For Sugimura Haruto it was already been two months since his 'reincarnation'.

He was killed by a kidnapper who actually aiming at his life since the very beginning. And then he met the goddess Eisha who offered to reincarnate him with special ability, just like those light novels and mangas.

Haruto chose to inherit the legacy of his most favorite character, Son Goku. But the problem was Eisha cannot make him possess all his power in an instant and he had to make his way there by his own efforts.

Still, there's also a good thing by having it this way. If there's one thing he learned of the hardest way was that it's extremely difficult to integrate Goku's power on his body. Even gaining his power little by little spent a lot of time and effort to bring out his true capabilities.

There's a lot of time when he's fighting that he felt lacking and frustrated from. His reaction, his movements, his decision, tactics, they were all still need a lot of reflections.

For example when he fought against Ifrit. If he could use feints and traps more cleverly he could avoid being hit by his flaming claws and legs. Ifrit may be considered as intelligent beast but he was far from how smart a person is and Haruto did not make use of that, the same was also true during the fight with the black minotaur.

In conclusion his way of fighting was too straightforward. Recalling that Goku was also similar to this on his later age he sighed deeply. Why don't you respect your old teachers, Mutenroshi's and Kami's teachings more Goku? He thought.

He imagined that if he could fight a lot more cleverly and used his own abilities to the best it could do then perhaps he could defeat the black minotaur without using Super Saiyan or being that injured on the fight with Ifrit.

Actually he already considered this a long time but when he was fighting seruously, a strange boiling emotions overwhelmed his calm judgement and alas because of that his way of fighting became rough. As expected the Saiyan bloodline flows perfectly on his body and he still couldn't overcome that.

That's why he decided to spend more of his training time to meditate and tempered his mind.

There's also another reason he was tempering his mind more, it was for the preparation to learn Ultra Instinct, the ultimate transformation or state gained from the mastery of the autonomous body reaction technique, breaking through the shell on his body to reach the realm of infinite power the better he uses the form.

Haruto recalled Goku getting stronger and stronger in this state during the climax battle with Jiren. The more time passes, the stronger he would be, there's no limit to his power during this state.

In order to achieve this state whenever he wants he had to build up indestructible mind and heart.

Who knows how long he would be able to do that? But he knew that fixing his rough fighting style was definitely the correct path to Ultra Instinct.

And so today, Haruto locked himself in his room and focused on meditating and reflecting all his battles.

After spending about fifteen hours he went out on his room to find his companions talking with each other while waiting for dinner cooked by Elsie and Rikka.

"Ah, Haru-kun. You finished your training? Please wait a little because dinner would be ready soon." Rikka smiled brightly seeing him.

"Tonight is your favorite curry rice~" Elsie added while humming.

Haruto's eyes soften seeing his usual important people always smiled happily when they talked to him. He really felt blessed right now and wished things would stay like this forever.

"Haruto-nii, are you not going for a quest tomorrow too?" Fia asked from the sofa.

"Hmm well I guess it's about time, the guild also asked me to come there for a new information regarding a high ranking adventurer." Haruto pondered. This morning the notification of his rank up was sent to their house.

"Ah yes, it's already that time for milord is it?" Selianna who's brushing Fia's hair and tail commented. Recently, she began to get used and accepted Selianna's approach as long as she did not scare her.

"Hm? What do you mean?" Haruto asked.

"It's about the thing I mentioned before that milord should know when you reached the blue rank."

"Ahh, that time." It was during Lumina's visit on the house, apparently regarding gaining access to a certain place.

Today's already been three days since Haruto's visit on the imperial castle. The guild took two days to discuss and prepared things for his ranking up from Zelrigth's request and today the sent the letter of notification. But since Haruto had not visit the guild yet he still not officially a red rank.

The letter didn't say he need to come immediately, they just said 'as soon as you can'. That's why since he's not in a rush he postponed it for tomorrow.

Today too Asami was still not waking up but seeing her face and skin already brightened up a lot and almost returned to normal, she should wake up real soon.

Haruto's feeling was quite complicated because he didn't know what to say to his sister when she woke up. In the end everything could only begin when Asami opened her eyes so he just waited till that time.

"Oh yeah, Fia. What about the new 'thing' I gave you before? Can you use it?" He asked Fia about the item Eisha gave to him for her.

"Hmm, I practiced it on the yard and so far the control was still quite hard and using it for too long makes me tired but other than that there's not much problem. It was very powerful and suited me very well. As expected of a gift from Eisha-sama"

"I see, do your best Fia." Haruto nodded and smiled, being satisfied of her answer.

He decided to tell her about Eisha when he gave her the gift. It was because the gift was given by the goddess herself and he didn't want to give excuse and lied about it. It was so that Fia could give her thanks to Eisha even if she could not visit her, to which Haruto haven't tried it before.

As expected she screamed out of shock when he told her about his relation with Eisha and it took a lot of time for her to calm down. But she didn't doubt him at all and listened to his story carefully. Haruto couldn't help but feel happy that she trusted him that much.

"Hehe~ Fia-chan was so amazing, she got the hang of it in just about thirty minutes you know? you know?"

Kaori who just finished bathing and came to the living room said. She was overseeing Fia's training since yesterday.

"Seriously? That's really something."

Haruto too widened his eyes. Since he thought Fia is not used of using 'that' she would need sometime to adapt and got the hang of it but to think she could use it at a 'passable' level in just thirty minutes.

If that's the case then she's ready to use her new 'power' on real combat. Haruto could not wait for seeing her in action directly, he was quite fond of the series back on earth after all.

Thinking that they proceed to have dinner together and talking with each other. They spent a lively chat and even played some card games made by Elsie together before going to sleep.
