Haruto arrived at the Moon Valley Inn, the place Lena stayed in the capital. He climbed the stairs nervously still thinking about what happened if what he did really make her pregnant. That would be a huge problem because not only he's not prepared to be a parent yet but also he couldn't protect the child properly, not now.

Hmm let's just think more positively. The contraception in this world required one to drink a medicine pill made by an alchemist, there's no c.o.n.d.o.ms here. But it was more effective since it could perfectly prevent pregnancy without fail. Though it was quite pricey but Lena should be able to afford it as she's a knight and knights were paid well by the country.

At the 4th floor he searched for room 417 and found it at the right path just after the intersection. While being jittery outside he pressed the doorbell.

"Yes? Who is it?"

It was a m.a.t.u.r.e woman in her 40s wearing a purple dress. He didn't recognize this person and the woman was surprised seeing a handsome man knocking on her door.

"U-Umm excuse me, I'm looking for Lena Bailey who supposed to stay in this room, are you her acquaintance?" He decided to ask the woman.

"Lena Bailey? I don't know her, are you not mistaking the room?" She answered while also secretly sad for the handsome man to actually searching for another girl.

'Mistake? No it shouldn't be.... Don't tell me she moved?' He was sure that he's on the correct room but Lena was not here so he thought she changed place to stay at. It's been a week after all since he met her so it's natural if she moved to another place.

"Is that so? I'm sorry for the trouble then." He bowed slightly and left the place.

Exiting the Moon Valley Inn, he wandered around the night city while contemplating on what to do next.

'How can I find her? Trying to pinpoint her location using my sense is quite hard in this crowded city. But what certain was that she's not around here, maybe she's in Outer District?'

And so he moved outside the Middle District wall, entering the Outer District area. In here the atmosphere was a lot more wild and noisy from people making merry around the bar and brothels. He could even hear a tempting voice coming from the building but he did not pay attention to that right now, there's more important thing to do.

Haruto leaped to the top of a building and started roaming around the largest section of the capital. His outfit was mostly black in color so he's not attracting attention from the people below. He hopped and hopped from roof to roof while making a brief stop every two hundred meters to check on the surroundings if he could feel Lena's energy.

Even the eastern part was hopeless so a doubt began to rise on his heart there's a disturbing possibility of her leaving the capital but that shouldn't be because Selianna did not receive such report from her. Until she officially quit as a knight, Lena still her direct subordinates so if she wanted to leave the capital, she had an obligation to contact Selianna first and received permission.

Once again he roamed the Outer District, this time he went to the northern part, the most unlikely place she was in because this section was the most ill place out of the entire city. The public order's here was the worst with slum located nearby.

There's also quite many illegal gambling places here. It's not weird if there's an actual underground casino or something somewhere around. Just by coming to this place made Haruto felt nauseatic. He sincerely wish Lena was not in this kind of place.

His sense detected a turmoil around four hundred meters from his current location. There must be people fighting there. Other places also had chaotic energy signatures but it was all trivial compared to the one sense just now.

It must be quite a large scale fighting.

A bulky man was thrown out from a log cottage and crashed on the ground while rolling his body was bleeding from a cutting wound and remained motionless

Waaahh!! The men inside the poor cottage roared attacking two men wielding a great sword and a long sword. They swung their axes and dagger to the two men but both of them managed to dodge and parried against their onslaught while slipping through and landed a blow with their swords, blowing away another group of ruffian-like men and killed them.

"It's useless I tell you! If you don't want to die you better answer our question you shitty thugs!!" The one wielding a long sword shouted to the remaining enemies there.

"And we told you that we don't know!!" One of the thug with mohawk hairstyle wielding a curved dagger replied furiously.

"There's no way you guys wouldn't know anything so why don't you just spit out everything already!" The men with a greatsword exclaimed with a vexed face.

"You f.u.c.k.i.n.g damn knights... If that's how you're going to play then fine!! Guys, do it!!" The mohawk thug raised his hands and made a signal to his comrades.

The other goons took out a red ball from their pockets and threw them towards the two men while jumping backwards, exiting the building. The moment the two men saw that ball their face turned pale because it was a fire bomb. They wanted to escape right away but they're not fast enough and the bomb exploded.

*BOOOMM*

The entire poor cottage destroyed in an instant by a bomb explosion while the thugs the two men fought were sneering at their opponents wrecked into pieces.

"...Really, people like you never think before you act huh? Suddenly throwing grenades like that."

A voice sounded from midair and they all gasped looking upwards.

A black haired boy was carrying the two men they fought before on his arms while floating high in the air. They were all dumbfounded including the two men on the boy's arms.

"I thought you two looked familiar but you're that knights from Selianna's group aren't you?" The boy, Haruto asked the men.

"Y-Y-You are that adventurer from before." One of the male knight recognized Haruto's face as the one who helped them during the dungeon investigation back in Latia.

"W-Why are you here??" The other male knight asked full of surprise and bewilderment.

"That's my line, what are you guys doing here? And who the hell are these wastes on the ground? You seem to be having quite a fiery relationship with them." Haruto shrugged and glanced at the people below him.

"W-W-Well...t-that's.... umm....actually...." The knight on his right arm put on a troubled look as if he was hesitating whether to tell Haruto or not.

He looked at his companion but the other also putting on a troubled expression.

"What is it, spit it out." Haruto was irked from their fickle behavior and screamed in his heart for them to just tell him already.

The knights looked on each other faces and nodded together before opening their mouth. Haruto who heard what they said become frozen like a statue with eyes opened wide.

"....We're searching for Lena-san who been missing since two days ago."
