*Bang!* *Boom!* *Rumble* *Crash*

Sounds of intense battle echoed through the surroundings.

There's countless shadow monsters coming from everywhere chasing after the figure of 5 people like a hungry beast. It was unknown what is their precise number but at the very least it was not less than two hundreds.

"Woah!"

Fia dodged a lightning bolt fired by some large shadow bird. But that's not the end of the assault as more lightning bolts kept firing like a bullet, chasing after her retreating figure.

"Now, Asami-nee!"

She leaped to the side, positioning herself behind a figure of another woman with beautiful long raven hair. Asami was holding a long staff in front of her c.h.e.s.t with her eyes closed.

Around her body, a large amount of mana acc.u.mulated, gathering on her staff to produce a bright glow. Right away after Fia gave her signal, she pointed her staff forward against the horde of monsters with stern expression.

"Firaga!!"

*BOOMM*

A large fireball fired from her staff, hitting the target while causing a large explosion of fire, spreading more than ten meters away. The fire spell she unleashed successfully killed more than thirty monsters at the same time while dozens more were injured.

On another side of the battlefield was a young woman wearing knight armor, her glorious blonde hair was fluttering gallantly. The woman calmly swung her golden sword, killing several shadow monsters instantly.

The shock from her slash travelled forward, destroying more monsters and blown them away. Just from the ripple the slender sword made during the slash, it could be seen just how heavy it was despite its thinness.

What's more surprising was the wielder who can swung the heavy sword effortlessly as if it was a normal longsword. More and more trails of slashes appeared and everything trying to get close to her were split without mercy.

Even so more monsters came from various directions like an endless pitch black wave. Still, the knight woman did not waver a bit and raised her golden longsword upwards.

"Scatter, Senbonzakura!"

The gold blade shines brightly as Selianna shouted its name. In an instant, the blade of the sword dispersed into numerous golden flower petals swirling around her vicinity like a storm.

The storm of flower petals sliced through the skin of various monsters like tofu, moving randomly like a snake, cutting everything into pieces. She was without doubt the best in terms of fighting against a large scale enemies.

The two girls from another side was not losing either, a girl with red eyes darted through the ground with nimble and light steps. Her speed made her figure seems blurring during her advance.

Rikka didn't have a large type attack like her other companions but her red katana allowed her to kill monsters with only a slight cut, enabling her to assassinate each monsters so quickly with only simple movements to which could not disturb her fluid movements that just like a river flow.

Her movements was so agile while her muscles and body were very flexible, she could perform many difficult motions almost effortlessly without getting hit even once.

Near Rikka was a silver haired girl, supporting everyone there with her barrage of feathers from her silver wings while hovering in the air. Monsters managed to slip through their defense or neglected due to carelessness were dealt by her in an instant. That's why despite so many monsters surrounded them, there's no one received heavy injuries at all aside from slight grazes and bruises.

Kaori did her job as a support splendidly as she knew that receiving damage also counted as training, and as long as it was not dangerous, there's no problem. That's also why she did not heal those minor injuries. At least not until the battle is over.

Each one of them was engaged in their own battle, including a lone youth with the same black hair as Asami fighting in the middle of the massive dark hall against a fifteen meters tall humanoid shape shadow monster.

His black eyes stared at his opponent calmly as he evades the attacks aimed at his body.

Right now it's already a month and a half since they left the capital and Haruto's group was currently on the 14th floor of Tartarus. And this floor contained the last guardian of the first block. The guardian in here possessed strength comparable to a lower General rank monster, as strong as Yomi's Gamma series he fought before.

But that didn't mean it was easier to fight. Not only it was protected by a large horde of monsters but it also had a giant body reaching fifteen meters tall. Besides, the people inside Tartarus must suffered from a large handicap where their bodies was a lot heavier and their stamina drained quickly.

It also possessed regenerative ability as every time Haruto dealt damages, it could heal very quickly.

Despite that, there's no impatience or anxiousness on his perfectly calm face. To be honest, he could defeat the monster with a single slap if he transformed and yet he didn't do that. Even so, his base power could match a General rank monsters that was actually ten times stronger than the Beta black minotaurs he fought before whose at peak High rank.

Before the Growth Haruto could also defeat that minotaur in his base form but does that mean can he compete with a lower General rank? No. He was still outmatched.

After his second Growth, Haruto received a massive boost in his overall power, it was five times stronger than he was before. It even vastly better than the first growth which increased his power more than twice the amount.

It should also be noted that there's difference between Haruto's base status before and after the first Growth.

For example, 10 points of power was multiplied by 2.5x, resulting in 25 points of power.

And now that 25 points was multiplied by five times totalling to 125 points. A 15 points increase and 100 points increase, they're obviously could not be compared.

In terms of realm, right now Haruto's base form had already reached the High Mortal realm. Though it was still on the bottom section. He even had a small third Growth that increased his overall power by 10%. It was far smaller than the others because he achieved that by fighting monsters a lot weaker than him this could not stimulate his Saiyan bloodline. Still, it was better than nothing.

Flaring his aura, Haruto increased his power level and rushed against the guardian boss. He slipped through its terrifying punches that shook the air everytime they're launched, making his way on its head. Even for him right now, receiving a direct blow was still quite dangerous and could deal a large damage.

Too bad he was more nimble and faster compared to the giant shadow, none of its attacks could hit him.

Finally getting himself above its body, Haruto conjured a large five meters energy blade on his hand before ramming it against the giant's head fiercely.

"ROAAARRR!!"

The giant roared furiously when his head was hit by the spirit sword, it felt intense pain as the blade continued to move downwards little by little, piercing its thick bone and flesh. The giant could not struggle much as the blade kept cutting through its body without stop.

"Ha!"

Before long the giant shadow was completely cut in two, disappearing into ashes, the large dark red energy it left behind was split and absorbed by Haruto's companions.

At the same time, the other monsters had also disappeared, ending the battle.

"Fuihh, that was really tiring...." Asami sat down while wiping the sweat on her temples.

"Amazing, Asami-nee, you can cast magic more quickly and stronger now!" Fia was excited and praised her.

"Hehe, really? I think I'm still far compared to the others though." Asami looked shy from Fia's praise.

"That's because Asami-san only recently joined us, I too think you're improving fast you know?" Rikka smiled and approached the two girls.

"I agree, I can use magic myself and could cast almost instantly, but that's because of my innate skill." Kaori landed on the ground and began to use her magic to heal everyone's injury.

"Umu, I myself had seen quite many magicians and as a Human, Asami-ojousama is indeed far above average." Selianna nodded, sheathing her sword.

"Kaori's constitution is already a cheat for magicians so you don't need to mind it. Besides, Nee-san's true worth lies in her summon, not magic." Haruto shrugged, arriving the last as he sat down alongside the girls.

"I guess you're right but summoning an eidolon will drain a lot of mana, as of now I can at most maintain the summon for no more than ten minutes and I'll collapsed soon after." Asami frowned.

Before, Bryan had injected a lot of mana using the device to maintain the summon for a long time, but that's no longer the case.

That's why using Summon was Asami's trump card and should not be used carelessly despite the large power of an eidolon. Not to mention they'll also grow stronger alongside her.

"But you too getting more and more like a monster Haruto-kun, you can even fight against a General rank monster without transforming! Looks like you've already surpassed me now..."

Kaori exclaimed excitedly but also smiling wryly knowing how fast he was growing and if this keeps up the gap between them will only getting larger and larger.

"Well, but if it comes to battle of attrition I'm still going to lose against you. I can't regenerate after all. If the fight dragged on it's obvious who's the winner is."

Haruto furrowed his brows the moment he imagined fighting an almost immortal opponent, even the others too trembled with their face turned pale. Kaori-san averted her gaze, she too realized how much of a cheat her healing and instant cast abilities were.

"Alright, let's rest for awhile and continued." He suggested while asking Rikka to give him a l.a.p pillow. She sighed thinking how spoiled he was but also smiled happily and put his head on her l.a.p.

She was so embarrassed and tried not to mind the others chilling gazes. It looks like even Asami was pouting for some reason though she decided to ignore it.

One hour later.

Tartarus Thebel 16F

In front of them was only a small room contained a staircase in the middle, this was the entirety of the 17th floor.

No treasure c.h.e.s.ts, no monsters, only a path leading upwards existed here within the dim dark green square room.

"How is it Haru-kun? Will we going to proceed upwards now?" Rikka asked.

"....No, let's not. We'll leave it for the next time." He shook his head.

The moment the passed through this floor, they would entered the 2nd Block of Tartarus. To be honest, during this month and a half, they have already came here for the third time but never proceed forward because the group was still not strong enough to withstand the new section which filled with peak High rank monsters at the weakest.

But right now they've already grown a lot stronger compared to first time they came here so with this the exploration for the 2nd Block could he start next time. Haruto chose not to continue was because they already spent a lot of their stamina from grinding in the 1st Block in order to improve themselves.

Ending their exploration here, they returned back to the lobby using the teleport device before exiting the Tartarus together.
