The Legend of Harry Potter Schoolmaster

Chapter 53 Boggart in the Wardrobe (Part 1)

The words of Hannah Abbott succeeded in arousing Jon's interest.

After Lockhart is gone, who will be the temporary Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher who will replace him?

There are still nearly four months to end this semester, so we can't let all the students in the school miss one course!

You know, in the Defense Against the Dark Arts course, Hogwarts doesn't have an assistant teacher... After all, it's not easy to find a full teacher, let alone an assistant teacher.

Could it be that Dumbledore wanted to get Remus Lupin in advance?

There is a possibility, but according to Voldemort's curse on this position, something will happen this time next year!

This freed Jon's attention from the frustration of practicing the Patronus Charm.

He specifically asked a few Hufflepuff second-year students who had just taken a Defence Against the Dark Arts class in the morning.

"I'm sorry, but I can't tell you, Jon!" Ernie McMillan said. "The interim Defence Against the Dark Arts professor won't let us spread his name around... All I can tell you is, very, very good. !"

Jon pouted and had to give up.

During lunch, he heard most of the students in the school discussing who this temporary Defence Against the Dark Arts professor was.

"I think it might be Alastor Moody!"

Once again passing by the Gryffindor table, Jon heard Ron Weasley shout from there:

"That Auror, Mad-Eye Moody... my father once told me that Moody and Dumbledore were very good friends; retired!"

"Anyone is a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, as long as it's not Snape..." Harry Potter whispered over there: "You know... Snape has been peeping at this position for a long time!"

"I think the Ministry of Magic may send someone!" Hermione Granger said with an unhappy expression: "After all, they designated our Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher as a wanted criminal a few days ago, maybe they will send one A deputy minister to ease our crisis?"

Walking silently across their long table, Jon didn't guess much.

After all, he'll find out who it is after a Defense Against the Dark Arts class in the afternoon.

Instead of going back to the Hufflepuff common room during the lunch break, Jon made another trip to the Room of Requirement.

It took more than an hour to practice the Patronus Charm several times in vain.

The result is still not optimistic, he still has not found a real happy memory; it seems that he has to delay some time on the Patronus Charm!

When it was almost two o'clock, he hurriedly left the eighth floor and went to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom on the fourth floor.

Fortunately, he walked fast enough, and the stairs did not make any trouble; he arrived in the classroom in time before the official class.

Just as he reached the door of the classroom, Jon suddenly heard a burst of cheers coming from inside.

"What's the situation?" He got into the classroom with a confused look.

Zacharias-Smith stood on the stool, whistling.

In fact, in the two houses of Hufflepuff and Slytherin, almost no students were sitting quietly... They all stood up and cheered.

On the podium, the white-haired old man smiled and waved to the students, motioning them to sit down.

Familiar faces...

Jon was taken aback.

Temporary Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher...

It was Albus Dumbledore!

...

It took a few minutes for Dumbledore to quiet the class again.

"I think...I don't need to introduce myself?" He blinked.

There was another burst of laughter from under the podium.

"Professor Lockhart left us for some special reasons; it is not easy to find a temporary teacher in the middle of the semester!" Dumbledore explained calmly: "So I think, I may be able to temporarily afford this responsibility."

"To be honest, the last time I taught was fifty years ago... The last time I taught students the course of Defense Against the Dark Arts was in the distant 1927..." Dumbledore's face showed A slight smile: "At that time, I had a little conflict with the people at the Ministry of Magic. They forbade me to be a teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts, and I had to be forced to teach Transfiguration!"

Looking at the entire class, almost all the students raised their ears to listen to his story, Dumbledore waved his hand:

"It's all grown-up stuff. Don't mention it... But I still remember the content of the last Defense Against the Dark Arts class I took sixty-six years ago; and today's content is the same as that class!"

"Then let's get started... Please put the books back in the bag; in Defence Against the Dark Arts courses, we should be doing more practice, so you only need the wand."

The whole class put the books back in their bags, and many exchanged amazed glances; they had never taken a practical class on Defence Against the Dark Arts since they came to Hogwarts for half a year.

"Then, come with me..."

The students all stood up and followed Professor Dumbledore out of the classroom; he led them through the empty corridor, turned a corner, and finally came to an unfamiliar classroom.

The classroom is empty, except for one side full of old benches.

At Dumbledore's direction, the Hufflepuff and Slytherin students sat there in turn.

Jon instinctively took a back seat; it was easy, after all, everyone was scrambling to get ahead.

Professor Dumbledore had taken out his very special elderberry wand.

With a slight wave, a large wardrobe that was almost two people tall suddenly appeared in the classroom.

Professor Dumbledore walked over to the closet and stood still, and the closet swayed suddenly, as if something wanted to knock it out.

"Don't worry!" Dumbledore said calmly when he saw several students shrink their heads in fright: "It's just a Boggart!"

"Boggarts love dark, enclosed spaces. Under the bed, in the closet, and even in the cupboards are often their hiding places... So, the first question I want to ask you is: What is a Boggart? "

A girl sitting in the front row raised her hand high.

"Very well, Miss Selwyn!"

"No one knows Boggart's true face, it will be deformed!" The arrogant-looking Slytherin girl surnamed Selwyn stood up: "Become any target of our fears."

"I think even I can't explain it better!" Professor Dumbledore nodded: "Slytherin plus five points."

Selwyn sat down happily, and the students around her cast envious glances at her.

"No one knows what Boggart looks like when he's alone, but when I let it out, it'll immediately become the thing that each of us fears the most." Dumbledore continued: "Then now, everyone. Get your wands out..."

"Let's try a spell:"

"Ridikuius!"
