I was only trying to find Nicholas Moore, but it feels like things are getting bigger and bigger…

Well, it was my dad Siegfried himself who handled it, so it should be fine.

‘I’m sure he did a good job, right?’

At that point, I shifted my attention away from the security officers. Staring at the building standing firmly in front of me, I took a short, deep breath.

I was really curious. Why had they stopped me from entering the publishing house?

And now, I was about to find out with my own eyes.

“No, why are the security officers here…?”

Facing the security officers surrounding the publishing house building, the security guard looked extremely flustered.

“Oh, Lady Orleans?”

The guards, who were looking everywhere, recognized us and came running in a hurry.

“No, what commotion is this?”

“Get out of the way. We’re from the Security Department,” the chief of security, who was in charge of the security forces, strictly dissuaded the guards.

And then.

“Tatiana.”

Huh?

I heard a voice calling me.

Instinctively turning around, I was taken aback.

“Dads?”

It was Siegfried, Kirios, and Cesar.

I rushed over to them.

“You must all be busy; how did you come all the way here?”

I clearly saw it this morning. The butler, clinging to Siegfried, pleading, “Please finish the documents today.”

I don’t think Kirios and Cesar are in much different situations, right?

So naturally, I thought they wouldn’t come today…

“Well… It’s not that I don’t trust the security officers.” Siegfried coughed briefly, then continued, “How could I send you off alone with Nora when you might be in danger?”

“Siegfried looked so restless. I had no choice but to follow along,” Kirios interjected, shrugging his shoulders as if to assert himself into the conversation.

Then Siegfried frowned, “You talk as if you were completely calm.”

“What are you talking about? I was completely relaxed.”

“Just a moment ago, you were singing a little song and making a lot of noise next to me.”

“Hey, don’t be ridiculous. When did I do that?”

Kirios and Siegfried, abandoning their dignity as warriors, started arguing loudly.

Simultaneously, I heard a muttered remark filled with disdain.

“Seriously, what a bunch of idiots…”

It was Cesar. He clicked his tongue and casually lifted me up in his arms.

Then, in a sweet voice as honey, he asked me, “Miss Tati, were you scared?”

“No, I have an escort, and Nora!”

“You’re so brave,” Cesar chuckled.

Kyrios and Siegfried in no time, were looking at me with resentful faces.

Cesar, of course, dismisses their murderous stares with a victorious smile. Then he looked down at me with concern.

“The inside of the publishing house right now…… might be a little rough for Miss Tati to see.”

“It’s okay,”I hugged Cesar’s neck tightly and replied. “With my Dads here, what is there to worry about?”

“To hear you say that makes me happy,” Cesar nodded.

He lightly patted my back and gestured with his eyes towards the publishing house building.

“Shall we go inside now?”

* * *

By the time we got inside, the security forces had already cleared the place out.

“Oh, let go of me!”

The office was a mess.

Security officers were rummaging through drawers and other things, carefully collecting evidence and bringing out suspects.

“All the materials from the scene will be used as additional evidence. Make sure nothing is left behind!”

The chief of security commanded the scene skillfully.

The manager of the publishing house was being dragged out forcefully by the security officers.

Meanwhile, the employees stood frozen, nervously watching the situation as if they were about to be stabbed.

“Where can you find someone like me, working honestly and lawfully?! Huh?!”

The enraged manager, with veins popping on his neck, suddenly noticed me. Anger flashed across his fiery face.

“Lady Orleans?!” The manager’s narrow eyes glared fiercely. “What? That little girl?!”

Honestly, I couldn’t be bothered to respond to such a lowly insult.

Surprisingly, Cesar was the one who seemed a little angry.

“To insult the one and only lady of Orleans as a ‘little girl,’ what a disrespect,” he replied with narrowed eyes. “You have quite a unique goal, don’t you?”

“What? Goal?!”

“Well. Unless you want to double the time, you spend in jail…” Cesar spoke cheerfully, “I don’t think you’ll spout such nonsense. in front of all of Miss Tati’s guardians.”

“No, what nonsense are you talking about……?!”

“Insulting a noble, blackmail. Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head – do you want me to name more?”

The manager blinked his eyes rapidly and asked with an uneasy voice.

“…W-who are you?”

Cesar casually shrugged his shoulders as if showing off.

“I just told you, I’m Miss Tati’s guardian.”

“G-guardian?”

The manager’s face seemed stunned, as if he had received a strong blow to the back of his head.

Cesar drove the nail in.

“I’m Cesar. Nice to meet you, although I can’t say I’m thrilled.”

“Heuk!” The manager gasped.

Cesar.

The hero revered by all mankind.

Head of the Great Temple, High Priest, and the focal point of the Holy Priests of the Empire.

One of the three heroes who slayed the Five Demon lords and saved humanity!

“Siegfried, please reflect.”

Meanwhile, Cesar glared at Siegfried.

“That insignificant worm dared to utter disrespectful words about our Tati. What kind of conduct is this in front of the only ducal family in the empire?”

“Oh, the Duke of Orleans, you say?!”

The manager once again turned pale and looked at Siegfried.

The head of the Duchy of Orleans, and the only duke in the Empire. At the pinnacle of knighthood, he is highly regarded as a Sword master who wields his blade with exceptional skill.

Moreover.

‘He is also legally my adoptive father.’

I watched with great interest as the manager’s face turned even paler.

“Even if you don’t criticize me like that, I already feltl a heavy sense of responsibility as a guardian,” Siegfried retorted.

Then he glanced briefly at the manager.

“How dare you speak such insulting words to my daughter, the one and only Lady of Orleans?” His golden eyes gleamed eerily like a demon. “Part of me wants to slit your throat right now, but…….”

Siegfried twisted the corners of his lips up. It was a ferocious smile.

“Taking a man’s life at my whim is something only those horrible demons do.”

At that moment, my heart sank.

Demons.

At the mention of that word, I instinctively tightened my embrace around Cesar’s neck.

‘That’s right, my dads can’t help but despise demons…..’

At the same time, Siegfried spoke calmly.

“As a sensible human being, I suppose I should repay you by extending your sentence?”

“Your, Your Grace! I…!” The manager gasped, trying to convince Siegfried otherwise.

But the manager’s suffering was far from over.

A young man with long red hair tied back in a ponytail made his way towards them, striding through the door.

He was followed at his back by a thin boy, who was being lifted by magic, floating in midair by the collar.

He was a gentle-looking boy, not much older than Lakius.

“I found him in the warehouse over there,” Kirios pointed to the boy with a chin gesture.

Terrified, the boy struggled in mid-air.

“P-please, spare me! I didn’t do anything!”

“I know. It was probably that manager bastard who did it, not you,” Kirios retorted nonchalantly and snapped his fingers.

Snap!

Simultaneously, the boy dropped to the ground. His legs gave way, and he slumped onto the floor.

‘Well, I suppose it’s fortunate that he didn’t drop straight to the ground, huh?’

I muttered to myself with cloudy eyes.

“This guy here was locked up in the warehouse,” Kirios said, narrowing his eyes. “Look at him, he’s so emaciated, it’s as if he hasn’t eaten for three days. And what kind of clothes are those? Does it make any sense to lock up a person in a warehouse?”

“Oh, it’s a misunderstanding!” The manager suddenly shouted. “I was only trying to help him!”

“What? Help him?” Kirios frowned and turned to look at the manager.

“W-well, that’s right!” The manager vigorously nodded with a trembling voice. “After all, if it weren’t for me, who would have recruited and fed that filthy, lowly commoner?”

Huh.

Not only my three dads but even Nora and the security personnel had faces filled with astonishment.
