Chapter 18 - Checking out the group's abilities

Since Billy was new in the group, he followed someone, and the first person he chosen was Bulat.

Billy: Hey!

Bulat: Hm? Oh, Billy! Do you want to come with me?

Billy: Yeah, I wanted to know how you guys worked.

Bulat: I understand, also, call me Big Brother or Handsome!

Billy: I'll cut off my veins if I need to call you Handsome, I'll pick Big Brother.

Then Bulat stopped, and Billy raised an eyebrow as he stopped too.

Billy did as he said as Bulat laid an hand on the ground and yelled with vigor.

Bulat: INCURSIOOOO!!!

The image of an armored dragon-man appeared behind Bulat, and a barrier of air blades enveloped him, slowly making him wear pieces of armors, and an armored Bulat came out, wielding a red blood spear.

Billy: So this is the power of a Teigu…

He was pretty excited because Chelsea's Teigu was… Average… There was nothing special, even though showing off isn't part of assassination, and the other Teigus were from his targets, so he didn't have time to admire them.

Billy: That's awesome!

He sheathed his katana inside the sheath and turned around.

Bulat: *Whistle* That was a fast attack.

Billy: I could use a greatsword bigger than you as if it was a rapier or something like that with a single hand, if I actually use a light sword, I will be incredibly fast.

Meanwhile, at the other places… At the river, Akame was looking at three mercenaries.

Mercenary 1: The fact that she's here means their hideout really is somewhere around here… It was worth searching steadily.

Akame sheathed back her katana and muttered.

Away from her, there was another mercenary that was running away with a shinobi run position.

Inside a cave, there was a girl that was struggling because she was bound in some wires.

Then Lubbock came out from his hiding place, and sighed when he saw that a girl was bound in his wires.

After saying that, he left.

Everyone was at the entrance of the hideout, eating outside, under the starry sky.

Najenda: Nice work on your first work with us, Billy, you will be a fine addition to the team.

Billy smiled and rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment.

Billy: Thank you.

Najenda: Now, even though you are already trained in the arts of assassination, I want you to learn to know more about the other people around you, so I will team you with someone, will you pick or shall I?

Billy: You decide.

Najenda: Alright then, team up with Akame. Got it, Akame?

Finally Akame stopped trying to eat the ingredients before the dish was completed, she looked at her red hand in sorrow.

Suddenly, Mine's voice came from the other room.

Then they left with an angry Mine, leaving Billy and Akame alone.

Billy: So, Akame, anything we should do now?

Akame removed the apron on her and said.

Akame: Hunting for dinner.

Billy nodded and removed his own apron, before he followed her out from the hideout, and heading towards a small mountain with two c.h.e.s.ts on their back. They continued to walk in silence until they reached a nearby waterfall.

Billy whistled as he looked around, the water was full of fishes and it was really clear.

Billy: This is a pretty nice place.

Akame: We must eliminate the underwater prey.

Suddenly, Akame started to undress herself, but Billy didn't worried, she would surely have an u.n.d.e.r.w.e.a.r, right? And like he thought, she had one.

Akame: These clothes allow the most underwater mobility… The targets are large river tuna. That is the goal.

Billy nodded and saw her diving in the water, in some seconds, the water literally exploded, and many tunas flew in the sky, surprising Billy. The tunas fell either in the ground or in Akame's wooden c.h.e.s.t.

Then she came out from the water and took a deep breath.

Akame: Can you erase your presence?

Billy: Yep.

Billy put down his sword and undressed himself until he was completely n.a.k.e.d, much to Akame's surprise and jumped in the water… What? He doesn't have any other clothes.

The next moment, Billy came out from the water carrying two fishes from their tails as if there was nothing on his hands, and turned back to the water again, continuing like this while Akame was turning her head away the entire time.

And so, for dinner they ate sushi…

Najenda: So… You were completely n.a.k.e.d...

Billy: Yes.

Najenda: ...In front of a girl...

Billy: Yes.

Najenda: ...Showing off everything…

Billy: She turned away.

Najenda: ...And you caught 21 fishes…

Billy: 22.

Najenda: ...Just because you didn't have any other pair of clothes?

Billy: Yes.

Najenda: ...I don't know if I should laugh or cry.
