Chapter 9 - Team

An hand laid on his back, Billy raised his eyes, and met with Bora, who didn't changed during these 4 years. Bora shook his head, but he noticed that Bora's eyes were red, as if he cried before.

Bora: She's gone…

Billy: ...Father… How are Sarah and the others…?

Bora: ...They are gone too… The entire village is gone and burned… Your niece is gone too…

Billy: ...Dad… I know who it was… Alice told me it was the new Emperor…

Bora: 'HONEST!!!'

Suddenly, Bora's hand on Billy's back felt much heavier, but after the extreme training he went through, he was able to resist this.

During those 4 years, he already unlocked his Inner Strength and his body broke its limit like an ocean being held from a small dam, and then he trained himself on controlling his Inner Strength, now he could go head on against Class 1 Danger Beasts, even if he would get injured.

However, during all of this time, he didn't get any weapon, so he wasn't trained in any. But now it didn't matter, he slowly got up when Bora removed his hand from his back, and walked towards the village itself.

There was only charcoal and ashes… Nothing else…

Billy: Dad… Can you assign me for the Revolutionary Army?

Billy: CAN YOU OR CAN YOU NOT!?

Bora was surprised, this was the first time he saw Billy bursted out in anger like that, but he sighed and said.

Bora: Yes.

Billy nodded and followed Bora towards the south, where the Revolutionary Army's HQ should be. Since the previous emperor died and his young son replaced it, the Revolutionary Army exploded with the number.

And it was so, that Billy joined the Revolutionary Army for going against the current Empire…

With Bora's recommendation, Billy was able to easily climb on the ranks, but it wasn't just that, his strength was also useful, he was finally 19 years old, more than half year passed since his birthday.

A black haired man with sapphire eyes walked in a room, in his back, he held Meat Grinder, his father's weapon. Don't misunderstand, Bora wasn't dead, he just stopped working for the empire because he was starting to get old.

As strong as a human can get, one couldn't increase his lifespan through physical training. So he retired and let Billy take his place.

He was wearing a pair of trousers, on his knees, he held some guards, same with his elbows. He had a short-sleeved black shirt and a belt around his c.h.e.s.t to keep his Meat Grinder, on his feet, he wore his usual sandals.

The man with black short hair and sapphire eyes had a smile on his face as he looked at the people in the room, behind Billy, another man came out and said.

Man: Billy, they are your new subordinates. The auburn haired girl s.u.c.k.i.n.g on a lollipop is Chelsea. The black haired man beside her is Kazu, and the last girl that had a bandage on her face is Sally. Guys, this guy is Billy, your new leader.

Then Billy nodded and looked at the people, Chelsea had pale skin, auburn hair and red eyes. She wore a butterfly headphone accessory on her head and held a lollipop on her mouth.

She wore a vocalist-like clothing consisting of a white long sleeve shirt with the collar tied with a red ribbon under a black vest a red checkered mini skirt, and black leather below-the-knee boots.

Then it was Kazu's turn, His skin was tanned, completely different from Chelsea, his hair were black as he held a cold gaze, analyzing Billy. He didn't had any accessory like Chelsea, and wore just a dark tattered coat, he could see sheriff-like boots on his feet.

And finally, it was Sally's turn and he was a bit charmed from her despite her bandages covering her left eye and the left side of her head. She was a girl with amber eyes, or eye, and short light brown hair. She had a curvaceous figure and wore a white dress with brown shoes.

Chelsea smiled as she stepped towards and walked around him.

Chelsea: Hmm… I didn't expected a pretty boy here.

Man: Pretty boy or not, he's Undead Bora's son, he is probably the one who has the greatest physical strength even if he doesn't look like it.

Chelsea: Hey, can I try to lift that greatsword?

Billy chuckled as he used one hand to take out the Meat Grinder and gave the handle to Chelsea. Both of them were smiling as if they were childhood friends, and when Billy let go of the Meat Grinder, both Chelsea and the Meat Grinder fell in the ground, causing a large crack to spread around the room.

Chelsea: Oof… How much does it weight!?

Billy: God knows…

Billy took back the Meat Grinder with one hand, surprising Chelsea a bit as he put it back on his back.

Billy: Alright, I am your new leader, so, first of all… Any disagreement on this?

No hands raised.

Billy: Good, any question?

Everyone raised their hands.

Billy: Alright, Kazu, you start first.

Kazu nodded, and with his apathetic look, he said.

Kazu: Can I fight you?

Billy: Later. Anything else?

Kazu just shook his head.

Billy: Chelsea?

Chelsea: Are you single?

Billy: Right now I am.

Chelsea: Right now?

Billy: ...I don't want to talk about it. Anything else?

Chelsea: Hmm… I guess not.

Billy: Sally?

Sally: What's your size?

Billy: Size?

Sally held a mischievous smile as she looked between Billy's legs, Billy realized what she meant and covered his nether regions.

Billy: Any other question?

Sally: How old are you?

Billy: 19 and 11 months

Sally: Hehe…

Billy raised an eyebrow when he saw her l.i.c.k.i.n.g her lips, and then he saw Kazu shaking his head and Chelsea chuckling.

Chelsea: Be careful, she started targeting you.

Billy: ...I'm not going to ask about what it implies…. Nevermind, Kazu, we can fight now.

Kazu nodded and followed Billy in the training grounds. Chelsea and Sally were behind them, curious about Billy's combat prowess.

They reached the ground, and Kazu didn't even gave a signal before he rushed with a knife on his hands, Kazu was pretty fast, so he managed to hit Billy before he could move away enough.

But the place that Kazu hit was the Meat Grinder's blade, just right past Billy's left side, managing to stop his movements before Billy grabbed Kazu's arm with an iron grip. However Kazu took another dagger and used his other hand to swing at Billy's neck.

But Billy tilted his head back and narrowly dodged the dagger, Billy grabbed the other arm. However Kazu didn't stop there and tried to jump and kick him, and Billy wasn't having none of it, so he threw Kazu in the air, his kick aiming for his head missed, and saw that another blade was in it.

Billy used this opportunity to take the Meat Grinder and when he saw Kazu taking more daggers, he used the Meat Grinder as a shield, defending himself from thrown knives.

Then Kazu dodged an incoming greatsword and reached for Billy.

Kazu: 'He won't have time for a second strike… I won.'

However, a shadow passed on Kazu, and he was flung away and rolled in the ground as he spit saliva.

Billy: Sorry, I hit you harder than I should everything is alright?

Kazu: Y-Yeah…

Billy: Were your daggers poisoned?

Kazu: Yes… They had a paralysis poison, I coat my armor with deadly poison to jobs though.

Billy: Armor?

Then Kazu revealed what was inside of his coat, and Billy was surprised when he saw an armor made of daggers, and things like mechanisms to bring the daggers in the limbs.

Billy: A Teigu?

Kazu: No, it's a Shingu just like your Meat Grinder. It is called Poisonous Armor, each dagger is specially crafted and has an opening where one could put poison in them, and release them in liquid form in the body when the edges cut in a body.

Billy: Nice, mine is Meat Grinder, a hard and heavy greatsword that can also work as a chainsaw.

Then Billy pressed a button on the hilt, and the edge started to rotate while letting out a loud sound.

Billy: Not only that, as much weird as it seems, I am also good on the arts of the light sword since I can wield it with ease. What are you two's weapons?

Billy saw Chelsea taking out a… Cosmetic Case?

Billy: I asked your weapon, not your hobby.
