Chapter 41 - Three Lines!

China - The Chines Army's camp - Midnight

-------------------------------------------------

Mulan, or as she is currently known as, Fa Ping is in the lake taking a bath in the middle of the night. It was bone-breaking cold water, but she has no other choice. On the edge of the lake, Mushu, the red serpent dragon is looking out for her in case anyone comes by.

"Boy we should have just faked your death in battle and got done with it,." Mushu spoke stomping his leg on the hard cold stone." Thankfully that Fire guy doesn't show up very frequently or we would have died. No joke in here."

Mulan looked at the moon "Whatever I do, This will not end well for me." She said with worry "I don't think I can keep this act for long, physical interactions are becoming more frequent, General Shang Li makes us get n.a.k.e.d in the snow to adapt to the weather, I can nearly convince him by wearing think clothes." She recalled all the close calls for General Li hitting her b.o.o.b.s while he was intending to hit her "c.h.e.s.t"

Mushu looked at her "Look at you! acting like a loser! you will bring dishonor to the family name, none of us is a coward!" He said proudly with his c.h.e.s.t puffed. The Cricket behind him heard him and looked at Mulan as they shook their heads.,

*Shuffle* *Shuffle* the bushes behind Mushu started moving and a hollow voice came from it "Aaaa!" like a zombie in pain.

"MOMMY!!" Mushu jumped in fear "ABORT! ABORT! MULAN LET US GET OUT OF HERE!!! MONSTER!! I REPEAT, MONSTER!!" He ran and stuck to Mulan's hair trembling. Mulan quickly ran and got her clothes even though she was wet.

She took her sword and assumed a battle stance "Who is there?" she asked with a fearsome expression.

"You idiot! I said abort, not confront!" Mushu pulled her hair "This way, this way!"

"A-Any...one" the hollow voice resounded again.

"A man?" Mulan stepped forward and used her sword and pushed a little of the bushes to the side while not dropping her guard. She then noticed a hand. Burned.

Mulan's eyes widened "He is injured!" She said as she cut down the bushes and revealed an injured man with half of his body burned. What caught her attention was their army's uniform and the badge of a squad captain. "He is one of us!"

The man opened his eyes slowly "You..." he spoke in pain, he noticed her armor "From the Chinese army?" he asked.

"Yes, Foot Soldier, Fa Ping! in your service sir!" She said.

"Good..." The man smiled "I will not live long, I...have insured so much pain to get here...Who is here?" he asked.

"General Shang Li and Royal advisor Chu-Fu, Sir!"

"Good, I have information..." The man coughed blood, life was getting away from him slowly "Tell them...The Fire Magus is...Shan Yu...His power source... is a fruit he...carries with him. Tell General Shang Li...His father is proud of him." He has fulfilled his duty, and finally, he is allowed to rest after days of traveling with a burned body.

"Captain!! Captain!!" Mulan looked worried as she checks for any pulses but there was none. "He...Died," she mumbled, this is not the first time she saw someone die, she engaged in four battles with the Hun Army as of now, and half of her squad is dead, some of them were good friends.

"I have to tell the general, Mushu stay here until I return." Mulan got her sword and dashed to the camp.

"AH! little girl!! don't you dare leave me alone!!" Mushu shouted at the distancing Mulan. He then shut up seeing she will never return. He looked at the dead man and gulped nervously "Please don't rise up." He said.

In the middle of the Ocean

------------------------------

A small ship was sailing with the winds towards its destination peacefully in the calm blue ocean. On the deck, three boys with white coats decorated with jewelry were sitting around a table with a shiny orb in the middle.

"The lines are now spread in three directions..." Ebo, the leader o the group spoke. He was a black-haired boy and the oldest of the group. "Why?"

"Clearly because whatever is causing this, there are multiple of it." Xero, the youngest of the group spoke. He was a blue-haired boy with golden eyes. Among this small group, he was the best-looking one.

"But the real question is...which one should we follow?" Azmar, the second oldest boy with red long hair reaching his back spoke.

"I say we spread out, each one should go to one location so we can save time," Xero spoke.

Ebo face-palmed himself "How? we only have one tracking orb." He spoke. Well, Xero is the best looking of the group, but apparently...Not the smartest either.

"Even if we had more than one, we should not get separate, we don't know what is causing this, we should stick together," Azmar said. "Let's decide which way we should head...East, or North?"

Ebo thought for a moment "Two lines go East, although they get separate after a while, that should mean they are close to each other."

Azmar took out the map and traced his finger on it "If we follow the tracks, we will reach two places, the Desert lands, and the Eastern Lands...The Closest is the Eastern Lands."

Xero stood up "Then it is decided. Let's go to the Eastern Lands." He said with a grin.
