Laura has had a rough week; she had managed to escape from the laboratory but not without getting injured. And even after having escaped, they had sent lots of people after her, people with guns and others with powers like her.

She barely ate during the week and had gotten even more injured before finding an alleyway. It was there she met with the 'thing' that appeared in a man's body, it was her belief that no human being should have such presence.

Because the presence that came out from the 'thing' that called itself as; Averill Kaiser was much wilder than beasts, it showed more ferocity than monsters and the strength his presence showed forth was something no human should be able to give off. If Laura had to describe it, Averill was more of a Divine Being compared to a mere human being.

This frightened Laura too much, being in front of such a being, yet even whilst being scared and afraid, Laura did feel something else too. She didn't know what she felt, it was something she had never felt before till now.

After having rested for a bit on the couch, Laura stood up and gazed around the large room. The first thing she saw was Averill standing in front of the broken window, but for some reason no air gushed inside, yet Laura could guess that it was Averill's doing. 'Perhaps he made a blockage of air or something…' Laura had no idea what kind of abilities Averill has, but she knew one thing for sure, he was much stronger than everyone else. And by this fact alone should make it possible for him to do mysterious things in her and other people's eyes.

And for some reason, Laura was right on the dot. Averill used his Magical Powers to make a 'barrier' between the room and outside. He had already sensed that Laura was up and gazing at his back, but he didn't turn around, he continued gazing outside with a weird smile on his face.

But it didn't take long before the silence was broken. "… Averill, who are you?" Laura tried to ask in a calm voice, yet her voice was still rather weak.

"I don't know, yet." Averill replied with an amused tone, he continued not long after. "From what I can tell, you're hungry, aren't you?" But before Laura could reply him, Averill began speaking again. "Come, we're heading out to eat."

Laura hesitated slightly but she obeyed what Averill said and slowly walked towards him. She couldn't deny that she was hungry, but she was also doing this to ensure her safety, Laura couldn't forget that Averill kept her alive for some reason, and he wouldn't kill her as long as she didn't try to escape.

'Hahaha… me escaping? To where…' Laura mocked herself in her own thoughts, she found the idea of running away from Averill as a funny joke. Laura was positive that she would die if she tried to run away, but even if she could escape, where would she go to? She had nowhere else to stay.

It didn't take long before Laura stood near Averill, and when she stood by his side, Averill grabbed her waist before jumping off the room that was over ninety stories high. Averill could hear a muffled scream by his side as they fell towards the ground at a high speed.

Averill controlled the falling speed and lowered it slowly but surely, and by the time they were a few meters off the ground, they were descending slowly.

People around the Avengers tower couldn't help but to stare at the duo who jumped off the tower and landed on the ground safely. Many people raised they phones and took pictures of the man and the woman. But after seeing the man and the woman, most of them forget to take pictures and some of them took pictures without being aware of it as it was a habit to take pictures all the time for them.

The man wore a black military outfit and looked rather beautiful if his weird smile wasn't there. And the woman wore simple clothes that had a few tatters and tears on it, but she did look like a beautiful young woman nonetheless. Yet the presence that the man gave off scared them, they could feel it, that the man wasn't a hero like Iron-Man, Thor, Captain America and the other heroes.

Some of the smarter ones that collected their thoughts quickly began stepping back. And after some began walking back, others did it too, it didn't take long before everyone had escaped far away.

Averill and Laura gazed at this happening; the only reaction Averill gave was to raise an eyebrow as a mocking expression appeared on his face. "I didn't know my face was this scary, let's not talk about scaring kids, even a.d.u.l.ts get scared, ahahaha!" Averill laughed loudly; it was rather amusing for him to see this happening in front of him.

After having entered this world for a little over a week ago, this was pretty much his first time meeting with other people. It wasn't like last time after having left the Mirror Dimension, as at that time he hid his presence. But now he allowed his presence to show forth freely, and it looked like people were afraid of it. 'Hey System, can you give me a reason why my presence can make people afraid?'

[The reason why others are afraid of Host's presence is because people feel a primal fear from Host's presence. It is their instincts telling them to run, to hide, to escape, or else they would die.] The System replied without being a beat too late, the System also found it amusing for some reason; how weak humans has become.

Averill gave a shrug before using his aura to search the entire city for areas that gave off a good scent of food. It barely took Averill two seconds before he found a place, he still held onto Laura and began to walk towards the restaurant, but each of his step moved them far away.

Laura didn't know why, but her screams continued to sound out throughout the city. She was not used to moving in such a speed.
