The moment the folder was opened, Averill's eyes went through everything within mere moments. He leaned forward and put his hand on the mouse and scrolled downwards, and he scrolled through the fifty pages swiftly whilst he read through every single world. The more he read, the brighter his smile became. It wasn't a vicious smile, nor was it a mocking smile, it was more of a teasing smile which he rarely would show.

'Good good…" He found her past rather amusing, how she turned from a normal person into someone who stole. All of it was written there. It was even written who she stole from and what she was most likely looking for; her real identity.

It barely took Averill twenty seconds from the second his eyes turned towards the computer till he finished reading everything about Selina Kyla also known as Catwoman in Gotham and to the rest of the world, a thief that could steal anything from anyone.

"Is this what you have been looking for?" Averill began leading her towards where he wanted her to be, he knew how she would react from now on as it wasn't difficult after reading that long doc.u.ment about her.

Catwoman, aka Selina, gazed at Averill with eyes that didn't hold fear any longer. What was left within those eyes were only playfulness and anger. "Of course, why else would I come here for?"

When Averill had leaned forward towards the computer, he came closer to Selina. And Selina was going to fully use this situation to her best, she swiftly moved her right hand, which for some reason already had a knife in it, aiming it towards Averill throat.

The knife which was in Selina's hand came nearer towards Averill's throat, but it stopped half a centimetre away from Averill's skin. Selina wasn't able to move her hand any longer, she was surprised as she didn't see Averill move, and when she gazed towards her arm, she saw something frightening.

Selina's hand was grabbed by another hand that belonged to a female, and right beside Averill, a woman had suddenly appeared, the woman's face was colder than ice.

The very next moment, Selina could only gaze as the woman who suddenly appeared rip off her hand that held onto that knife before throwing the severed arm away.

"UGHH!" Selina coughed up blood as she fell towards the ground whilst holding onto the place where blood was gushing out from her severed hand. As much as she wanted to yell out in pain, she had to stay calm.

"Averill, she aimed a weapon at you, I really wonder why she is still breathing." Laura mused in a cold tone whilst gazing at Selina who was on the ground trying to stop the bleeding from her severed hand. Laura has been staying near Averill since the thief came, and when she saw that Averill didn't react towards the knife, she acted without thinking and ripped the woman's hand off.

"I wonder why too." Averill was smiling brightly as he gazed at Selina who was trying her best to not yell out in pain, but her muffled screams could be heard. He could hear her sob, he could see her tears running down her face and he could see that she was trying her best to stop the bleeding from her arm that was ripped off by Laura.

Averill crouched down and gazed at Selina with a bright smile on his face. "Does it hurt?" Averill's voice was rather soft and soothing as he asked this. And when he didn't hear her reply, his eyes narrowed slightly as he asked yet again. "Does it hurt!?" But this time, his tone wasn't soft and caring any longer.

"Y-yees, iT hurts…!" Selina was barely able to reply as she continued sobbing and trying to hold back her screams. She had never been in this kind of pain before, and it frightened her. There was only one thing left on her mind, and that was to survive, nothing else mattered to her any longer.

Averill's fingers began twitching again and his gaze turned scary for a brief moment, yet no one was able to see it clearly as it was only apparent for a fleeting second. And as quickly those traits appeared, they vanished as suddenly too. "I bet you don't want to feel this kind of pain any longer, right?" Averill's voice turned back into his usual soothing one as he spoke to Selina.

"Yee-s, no more, pl-ease." Selina couldn't resist any longer, the pain she was suffering right now wasn't something she wanted.

And when she said those words, Averill could see the despair in her eyes. It was this kind of despair that would change any human being. Without turning his gaze from Selina, Averill stretched out his hand towards where Selina's ripped off hand was laying at, and when he did that, her hand flied towards him. Averill held onto her severed hand before placing it near her arm that was missing a hand.

Selina was trying her best to not push Averill away when he came near her, she only wanted the pain the go away, but Averill was someone she was now fearing. Even if it wasn't him who ripped her hand off, he was much more terrifying than the woman who did it.
