The Maniacal General With His Crazy System

Chapter 63 - Flowers of many colours

Saitama had to quickly act, he couldn't dodge the lasers that came out of Superman's eyes due to the mansion was behind him. Saitama knit his fist together as he was muttering. "Serious Punch." He punched out in a rather relaxed manner, but the force behind his punch was something that couldn't be taken by just anyone.

The moment Saitama's fist hit the lasers, the lasers burst apart before vanishing.

Clark was gazing at the scene that was happening in front of him in a daze. But he saw something happening in a mere millisecond, Saitama vanished from his previous spot, and that was the moment Clark felt something horrendous. His body was yelling and screaming to turn around. Clark was barely able to turn his head around as he gazed at what was happening behind him.

Saitama had reappeared behind of Superman in a boxing posture.

What Clark felt something for the first time ever, the threat of death! He saw Saitama's solemn and dark expression as his right hand that was knit into a fist coming towards him. No matter how fast or strong Clark was, he knew one thing, if that punch hit him, he would have low chances of surviving.

"…" Saitama didn't say anything, but what he did was something more shocking, he punched out towards Superman without any hesitation with a huge amount of his real strength.

And the moment Saitama's punch arrived on Superman, a thunderous booming sound could be heard throughout the entire Gotham City.

Clark's body went crashing towards the ground in a speed that couldn't be seen to the eye. *Bang!* Even if no one could see it happening, most likely everyone in Gotham City felt the ground shaking and trembling, almost like an earthquake.

Saitama slowly fell to the ground, he continued to gaze at Superman, the dark and solemn expression was still apparent on Saitama's face. He stepped forward lightly, but that step alone allowed him to reach where Superman was laying at, fifty meters underground.

Superman was barely conscious, blood was gushing out of his pores, his clothes were ripped, but Superman's eyes were slightly open. And that was enough for Saitama to continue… He grabbed Superman's head before smashing it on the ground repeatedly.

"Bang! Bang! BANG!" The ground was trembling madly every time Saitama smashed Superman's head to the ground. After smashing his head to the ground almost twenty times did Saitama stop, because Superman had finally lost his consciousness and was heavily injured.

It was only then that Saitama came to his own senses, he didn't feel anything after seeing the defeated hero beneath him. No, to be more exact, Saitama felt slightly lost, he had thought that it would a hard fight, but he was disappointed, once again… 'Is Averill the only one that can defeat me?' Saitama had such thoughts as he felt sad before jumping up the crater that was made from him bashing Superman towards the ground.

After having jumped up, Saitama was welcomed by a sight that he wasn't used to. Averill, Laura and Harleen were standing not too far away, gazing at him. Laura had a cold and solemn expression, Harleen was curiously gazing at him, and Averill had a smile on his face.

'No, this time it is different. I am not alone any longer, I have friends. And Averill is also here, I bet I can make him promise me that we would fight when we return to his domain!' Saitama threw away any thoughts that he previously had, it didn't matter if he could defeat his enemies in a punch or in a relaxed state, what he had now was a thousand times more than what he had in his previous world.

"Woah, you really are strong, you actually managed to beat Superman!" Harleen couldn't help but to comment in a loud voice as she began clapping, but her gaze quickly went to the side, towards Averill. 'Just how strong is he…?' And without even knowing it herself yet again, a grin slowly crept up on her face.

"Hahaha." A shallow laughter escaped out of Saitama's mouth before he commented in a proud voice. "Of course I'm strong! There shouldn't be anyone else other than Averill that can beat me!" Saitama raised his fist into the air as he grinned.

When Averill heard that, a grin quickly appeared on his face. "Saitama, I'll take your word on that then!" Averill began to swiftly plan out a method to match up the presence he fought earlier to battle against Saitama. He wanted to show Saitama that he wasn't strong enough yet, and only when meeting a strong enemy would he understand that.

"You're so c.o.c.ky after having defeated a weak hero… how amusing." Laura shook her head as she coldly stated whilst staring at Saitama in disdain. "I am actually surprised that it took you so long time to make him lose his consciousness."

Before the two could argue once again, Averill raised his hand as he spoke in a soothing voice. "Let's fix this place first before we can go back inside, I have a few things to tell you guys that I found out during the past couple days I was gone." Averill then made small teleports around the heroes which sent them far away from his home, he then flickered a finger before the area recovered from all the damages and marks that had been created due to the battle. Flowers of all colours and trees began popping up, but Averill didn't care about that as he turned around towards the mansion.

Whilst Averill turned around and walked inside the mansion. The three that was left outside gazed at the surrounding for a brief moment in a daze. The area that looked like a place that was bombed sunders, was now recovered to a heavenly garden with flowers and trimmed trees.

"… Is Averill a God…?" Harleen asked in a weak voice, she had just seen with her own eyes a miracle happening. Not only was Averill strong to the point that no one could touch him, but he could also create things with a flicker of his finger.

"I honestly don't know." Saitama scratched the back of his head as he replied to Harleen.

"Does it even matter?" Laura asked calmly, she turned around before she began walking towards the entrance of the manor. To her it didn't matter what Averill was, it would be enough for her as long as she could continue following him.
