The New Issei

Issei spent the rest of his Summer Break in England enjoying the time he spent with his friends. During this time he continued to spar with Griselda and help train Irina. The difference in the training and sparring is that now magic and mana are added in. Issei placed a barrier around the training ground to keep the noises in and to strengthen it overall so that they could go wild without worries. This was a huge benefit to Irina since she could see what it is like when Griselda goes all out and Issei matches himself to her level. Griselda also benefited from this since Issei could now teach her other styles he knows that require mana to use.

During this month Gabriel also came by often to visit and hang out so Issei got to know her better and they became close friends. He often took her around town to enjoy the food or just to see the scenery. He had also sparred with Micheal once during this month and they both greatly enjoyed the experience. Although Issei is not as strong or as experienced as Michael he still had a wide variety of magic and skills with a sword so the spar lasted quite some time before Michael won. Issei had learned a lot about how to apply power properly and how to use the light element much more efficiently during the spar while Michael had leaned how troublesome an opponent with control over the space around them can be. They both enjoyed the new experience and agreed to spar at least once a month.

Issei had also asked Michael if he could get him materials about older magic and Sacred Gears. When Michael asked him why he would want something like that he had said he planned on creating a Sacred Gear for himself. Michael had been dumbfounded but he had agreed and given Issei all the research materials Heaven had on Sacred Gears as well as a bunch of ancient light magic and sealing magic that would greatly help him. This research material is what Azazel had based his own research on Sacred Gears off of so it is really an eye opener for Issei and gave him many ideas for the future. Of course Issei is not really interested in creating a Sacred Gear but something else entirely. He wanted to help Michael change the system of Heaven that God left behind. He figured that if he reached a high enough level in power and mixed Enchanting with Magic and the abilities of Sacred Gears he might be able to do it. He wanted to make it so that angels could fall in love and have children without falling, but he couldn't tell that to Michael yet since he hadn't known him for that long. Obviously his motives were selfish since he had fallen for Gabriel when he first saw her and because Irina would be turned into an angel in the future. He wanted to be able to go on dates without having to worry about them falling. Of course he planned on making it so that if an angel felt l.u.s.t without love they would still fall, just to keep things balanced.

During the month Irina had also confessed to Issei about how she felt. Apparently almost dying had made her realize that she might die one day without ever telling him how she felt, and that thought caused her to feel pain just thinking about it. So one day she dragged Issei into town with her and spent the day having fun together before she told him how she felt as they walked back home. Issei had been surprised but he accepted her feelings and told her he felt the same way. Once they got home they discussed about how they wanted this relationship to work. Since Issei could not meet Irina all that often and she is an exorcist so her job would keep them separate until Issei told the world who he was. They both knew that it would be hard on them but still wanted to be together. Since Issei wanted to be together with Irina he told her about how strong he really is and about him being the wielder of the Boosted Gear as well as half dragon. This had shocked Irina but also made her happy because she would not have to worry about his safety. Issei also told Irina that he would probably have a harem in the future since he had fallen for Gabriel when he saw her. Irina had accepted this but on the condition that she is his first wife and that those he accepts into the harem he has to really love and they have to love him back. Issei had agreed and said he would have it no other way. They then shared their first kiss before Irina went back to her own room. The Summer Break had been quite a busy one but now it was time for Issei to go back to Japan.

Irina: "Goodbye Issei. Make sure to call as often as you can. I will miss you." She said as she hugged him in front of the airport in London.

Issei: "I will, and you make sure to train hard. I don't want to come and save you again anytime soon." He said as he hugged her back. He then pulled back and gave her a kiss on her cheek before turning to Griselda, who had brought them here. "I will miss you to Griselda, you take care of yourself." He said as he walked over to her and hugged her.

Griselda: "I will miss you as well. There is no one I have enjoyed sparring with as much as I do with you. Take care of yourself over there and keep Gabriel safe when she visits." She said as she hugged him back.

Issei: "I will, you don't need to worry. If anyone tries to harm her I will disintegrate them." He said in a slightly dark tone. He then smiled and said. "I will make sure she enjoys her time in Japan." He then let go of her and picked up his luggage before turning and heading towards the door leading inside.

Griselda: "Just keep your eye on her. She likes to wander off." She called while chuckling.

Issei: "I will, bye Griselda, bye Irina. See you both when we can." He said while waving over his shoulder as he walked off.

Griselda: "You have not said much Irina. Are you alright?" She asked as she turned to look at Irina.

Irina: "We already talked lots last night. Plus I do not really like goodbyes, we will see each other again." She said while smiling slightly. "Well lets go back, our flight is tomorrow and I want to spend the rest of the day with dad." She said as she walked towards Griselda's car. Griselda just smiled at her and followed.

Issei: "Goddamn that flight is long." He said as he stretched when he got off the plane in Kyoto. "Guess I had better book a room at a Hotel for the night." He said as he walked out of the airport. He then hailed a Taxi and said to head to the Suiran hotel. It was where he had stayed before when he was here for a family vacation with his parents and he loved the scenery there.

Taxi driver: "We will be there shortly." He said as he drove off. Issei leaned back and enjoyed the scenery, Kyoto really is a beautiful city he thought. A little while later the Taxi driver pulled up outside the Suiran hotel. "That will be 30 thousand yen." He said as he parked.

Issei: "Here." He said as he handed the driver the money and got out. He then headed into the hotel and headed for the front desk. "Excuse me, I would like to have the Gyokuto Garden Terrace Suite for a night." He said to the woman behind the desk.

Desk lady: "Are you sure boy? The Gyokuto Garden Terrace Suite is really expensive." She said while smiling kindly at Issei. She must have thought this was a joke since a kid had just asked for one of their most expensive rooms.

Issei: "Yes I am sure. Just get me my room key." He said as he handed her his debit card while being slightly irritated.

Desk lady: "If you insist sir." She said as she rung up his room and swiped his card. She was surprised it went through without any trouble so she handed him his room key and his card back. "Have a nice stay sir."

Issei: "I am sure I will." He said as he walked away. He then went to his room and he was definitely satisfied with it. He especially liked having his own Onsen to soak in. He quickly showered and went in and soaked for awhile, thoroughly relaxing after the long flight. When he finished he got dressed in some pajamas and went to sleep.

Issei: "What the hell is that racket?" He g.r.o.a.n.e.d as he rolled over in his bed. He had been woken up from a crash coming from the garden of his room. "Why do things seem to happen wherever I go?" He asked with a grimace as he got up and used magic to put some clothes on. The presence he felt coming from the garden was obviously a supernatural one so he decided it was better to get up instead of ignore it. When he walked out he was not prepared for what he saw. Laying there injured was a young Kuroka. This caused Issei to groan because he knew a huge pile of trouble had just landed in his l.a.p. She looked to be about twelve currently and with the wounds she had, she was probably running form the devils.

Kuroka: "Ugh, my whole body hurts." She said softly as she laid in the garden covered in injuries. "At least I got away from those hunters." She said unaware that Issei was standing in the doorway of his room watching her.

Issei: "Damn me and my conscience. I can't just leave her when she is hurt like this. Not when I know her past." He thought as he sighed and started to walk towards Kuroka. Kuroka quickly started to panic as she heard someone getting closer to her. She could barely move in her current state and was afraid that the people hunting her had caught up. "There is no need to fear me. I just want to help you." He said as he got closer to her and sat down next to her. He then started to use healing magic on her.

Kuroka: "Why would you help me? You know nothing about me. I could be a murderer for all you know." She said as she looked at him warily.

Issei: "Do you think my hands are not stained with blood? I am simply helping you because leaving a cute girl like you injured when I can do something about it does not really sit well with me." He said while smiling at her. As he did Kuroka felt that what he was saying was true through her Senjutsu and relaxed slightly. Then him calling her cute finally registered with her and she blushed slightly since Issei was really handsome himself.

Kuroka: "Thank you for helping me. But I should leave when you are done healing me. I am still being hunted and I do not want to cause trouble for you." She said in a worried tone.

Issei: "I set up a barrier as I was coming over to you. No one can feel what happens in it and your signature has been erased. You are safe here for the time being. So relax and get some rest." He said as he smiled at her warmly. Kuroka was dumbfounded at hearing that, she had not noticed him putting up any barriers and he had done it so quickly. He was obviously quite skilled if he could do that.

Kuroka: "Who are you?" She asked in a sleepy tone of voice as her fatigue began to catch up to her now that she was safe.

Issei: "My name is Issei Hyoudou. We can talk more when you get up, now get some rest." He said as he finished healing her and picked her up to carry her inside. He then laid her down in the unoccupied bed before looking at her sleeping face and sighing. "It seems like whether or not I like it trouble is drawn to me." He thought while shaking his head.

Ddraig: "That is the fate of all who carry one of the Heavenly Dragons, partner. This is only the beginning." He said while chuckling.

Issei: "I know, but I wish I would stop raising flags by saving girls. First it was Shuri and Akeno, then Irina and Griselda, now its Kuroka. What the hell am I going to do if Kuroka falls for me to?" He said while groaning.

Ddraig: "She probably already has. You were kind to her after she finished running for her life and gave her a safe place to rest. You also called her cute and healed her wounds. Add onto that your handsome. Yeah I would say it is already set in stone. Also once she falls for you then it will be for life so make sure you do not reject her or it could negatively affect her. Nekoshou are fiercely protective to their loved ones just like dragons are so once they let someone in they will care for them for the rest of their lives." Ddraig said in a serious tone of voice before laughing. "You are either really lucky with women, or unlucky. I dot know yet." When he said this Issei g.r.o.a.n.e.d and went to his own bed to get some sleep.

Issei: "We will see how things end up in the future. If she does want to follow me and leave tomorrow I will bring her with us, but if she does not then I will give her an artifact to help her and go our separate ways." He said while yawning. "Now I am going back to bed. Goodnight Ddraig, wake me up when she gets up." He said as he went back to sleep.

Ddraig: "Will do partner, get some rest." He said while grinning. "There is no way she will not want to follow the man who saved her. Looks like you are going to be bringing home another girl partner. I am so proud of you." He thought while feeling happy about the thought of his partner having more people to stand by his side.
