The New Issei

Later that day when Akeno and Issei got home they told Shuri about the meeting and what was said during it. Shuri was angry to find out Baraqiel had moved on so quick but also glad. She now had no reason not to move on herself. She had subconsciously been holding herself back from moving on in case she met Baraqiel in the future, despite falling for Issei. Now everything was cleared up and it felt like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders.

Issei and Akeno also told Kuroka that Issei would ask Koneko to hang out with him tomorrow at the Villa so that Kuroka could meet her. He told Kuroka that he was sorry for making her wait so long and that Akeno had convinced him to go through with it. But she would have to help him convince Koneko to keep the meeting a secret after it was over. After all none of them wanted to deal with the trouble that would come from assassins being sent after Kuroka. Kuroka had agreed to this and had hugged him while thanking him and kissing him passionately. It had been quite hard for Issei to keep Kuroka from jumping him that night.

Issei: "Are you ready Kuroka? Koneko will be here in a little while. Remember to stay hidden until I call you out. We do not want to scare her off." He said while gently petting Kuroka as she laid her head on his shoulder.

Kuroka: "I have been waiting for this day for years. Now that it is finally here, I couldn't be happier. You have been there for me through all of this and now you are giving me my sister back." She said as she looked at him with a soft look in her eyes. "I am really lucky I met you." She said as she leaned in and kissed him. "I love you and I always will. I can never repay you for everything you have given me." She said after the kiss as she gently c.a.r.e.s.sed his cheek and smiled at him softly. "Now I will go hide, I can feel Shirone getting closer. I hope this all works out okay." She said as she got up and started to head out of the room.

Issei: "I am the one who was lucky to have met you Kuroka. You changed my life for the better and I have never been as happy as I am now. Thank you for choosing me." He said softly as he watched her walk away. She paused slightly when she heard him and smiled before walking out of the room. A few minutes after Kuroka left the living room the doorbell rang. Issei got up and went to answer the door. Standing there was Koneko. She smiled slightly as she saw him. "Glad you could make it Koneko." Issei said as he smiled at her.

Koneko: "I will always come if you invite me Issei." She said while smiling happily at Issei.

Issei: "Well come on in. I have something important to tell you today. That's why I invited you over." He said as he turned around and lead her into the Villa. He had Koneko sit down on one of the couches in the living room while he went and got some sweets and drinks for both of them. After he handed Koneko hers he sat next to her.

Koneko: "What do you want to talk to me about Issei?" She asked in a curious tone as she snacked on a chocolate bar.

Issei: "What do you know about the incident that took place when your sister ran away?" He asked as he looked at her with a serious look on his face. Koneko stiffened when she heard him ask that.

Koneko: "How do you know about that? I never told you and I know Rias never would have either." She asked Issei nervously as she looked at him with a look of worry on her face.

Issei: "I know all about it. How does not matter right now, the thing that does matter is that I do know. Now how much do you know about it Koneko?" He said while looking at her with a gentle smile. "Its alright to take your time telling me, we are not in a hurry." He said as he gently patted her head. This caused Koneko to start crying and jump on Issei hugging him tightly. Issei hugged her back while rubbing her back. "Cry all you need to Koneko, I am here for you." He said as he held her close. "This is almost like what happened with Kuroka. They are both really hurting on the inside." He thought as he looked at Koneko with a sad look on his face. After a few minutes of crying Koneko began to calm down but she still help onto Issei tightly.

Koneko: "I don't remember much. All I know is that Kuroka went mad from power and killed our master. She then ran away and left me alone. I was going to be killed because of what she did but Sirzechs saved my life and brought me to Rias." She said with a pained look on her face as she hugged Issei tightly. This caused Issei to sigh and look at Koneko with a sad look on his face.

Issei: "Do you believe that your sister would really abandon you or go mad from power?" He asked her as he gently patted her head.

Koneko: "I don't know. They said that overusing Senjutsu made her loose her reasoning. If she did not go mad from to much power then why would she kill our master and leave me all alone?" She said as she began crying again.

Issei: "She did it to protect you Koneko." He said as he pulled back from her slightly and looked her in the eyes. "Senjutsu does not cause you to go insane. It just makes you more in tune with nature around you and to peoples intentions and feelings. It also makes you stronger. But that is it. It would not cause your sister to go insane with power." He said as he smiled slightly at her. "She killed your master because he planned on turning you into a test subject like he had done to her. She left you because she knew she would be hunted and did not want to risk the chance of you dying if you came with her. She loved you and did everything she could to protect you." He said as he looked her in the eyes with care and concern on his face.

Koneko: "If that's true why did she never come for me? Or try to clear her name?" She said as she looked at him with a hopeful look in her eyes.

Issei: "She wanted to come to you but I kept her from doing so since you were in good hands and I did not want her to provoke Sirzechs. As for clearing her name. That will not be so easy since although we have all the evidence needed she still killed her master and a noble from one of the 72 Pillars. The old minded idiots on the council might just ignore the evidence and try to have her killed to silence her. I could never allow that to happen until we are strong enough to survive such things. Please forgive her Koneko, It is my fault she has not come for you not hers." He said while looking sad and regretful. This caused Koneko to hug him and smile at him.

Koneko: "It was not your fault Issei. You just did not want me or my sister to get hurt. I can't blame you for that. In fact I want to thank you for taking care of my sister. I had Rias to look after me but my sister would not of had anyone if you were not there for her." She said as she smiled warmly at him. This was the largest smile Issei had ever seen on Koneko. "Can I see my sister now Issei? Please?" She asked him while giving him the puppy dog eyes.

Issei: "Why do all the woman in my life know how to give me those eyes?!!" He asked himself as he instantly caved after seeing them. "Sure just let me call her over here." He said as he activated a magic circle to call Kuroka over. "She will be here in a moment, Koneko." He said as he smiled at her. He then stood up and got ready to leave. "You two have not seen each other in a long time so I will let you get reacquainted." He said as Kuroka came barreling into the room and pounced on Koneko. He then walked out of the room as he heard Kuroka and Koneko both crying as they hugged each other. "I am glad they are finally back together." He thought while smiling.

Three hours later Kuroka called Issei back into the living room. Over the past three hours she had told Koneko everything that had happened to her and Koneko had told Kuroka all about her own life. Kuroka had also told Koneko about how strong Issei is and abut how the whole Villa is warded to make it safe for her and the other girls to live there. She had also told Koneko that Issei is an Enchanter and had made necklaces for her and the others to hide them when they went out so that they could live normal lives. Koneko was shocked at all the stuff she had learned but she was happy that her sister is safe with Issei and that her sister still loved her.

Issei: "You two finish catching up?" He asked as he smiled and wrapped his arm around Kuroka. The action caused Koneko to glare at her sister while slightly pouting. Kuroka noticed this and smirked at Koneko before she clung to Issei.

Kuroka: "Yeah we are all caught up and the misunderstanding is cleared up. Thank you for this Issei." She said as she looked up at him from in his arms while smiling happily.

Issei: "I only did what I should have did when Rias first moved here. I was scared what might happen to you or the others and it led to my indecisiveness. I am sorry Kuroka, I caused you to suffer. Can you forgive me?" He said as he looked at her with a worried look on his face.

Kuroka: "You idiot, there is nothing to forgive. You were worried about us and its not like you were not going to reunite us, you just wanted to be stronger first. So don't think I was unhappy being here with you, I trust you and love you. That will never change." she said before she gently kissed him. This caused Issei to relax as the worries he had left him and it felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

Issei: "I love you to. Thank you for trusting me and being so patient with me." He said as he smiled at her. "So did you ask Koneko to keep this meeting and the stuff about you a secret for now?" He asked as he separated from her and looked over to Koneko who looked slightly uncomfortable from the earlier display of affection.

Kuroka: "Yeah we talked about it. She agreed but she wants to come over often to visit me. I said that was fine. I hope you don't mind?" She said as she looked at him with her usual smile.

Issei: "This is as much your house as it is mine. You can invite people you consider trustworthy over, Kuroka." He said as he walked over to a couch and sat down. To his surprise Kuroka came over and sat on his l.a.p while leaning back against his c.h.e.s.t. He soon calmed down and wrapped his arms around her. Koneko looked slightly jealous as she came over and sat down next to them before leaning into Issei's side. "You are welcome over anytime Koneko, just remember Shuri and Akeno also live here so things can kind of get out of hand at times. Also if you are going to be coming over I want you to practice Senjutsu and Youjutsu with Kuroka and me. You will need to be strong to protect those you care about and we can help you with that." He said as he unwrapped one arm from around Kuroka and put his hand on Koneko's head. This caused Koneko to smile as she enjoyed the feeling of his hand ruffling her hair.

Koneko: "I don't mind training. I want to get strong enough to protect Sister and Rias." She said with a determined look on her face.

Kuroka: "Then its settled. I look forward to spending time with you Shirone." She said as she smiled happily at her little sister. All three of them then spent the afternoon just talking to each other and enjoying each others company before Koneko had to go home. Issei then escorted her home before heading back himself and having dinner with everyone before going to bed. He once again had to stop Kuroka from taking things to far. She was way to happy that night. Akeno just chuckled and enjoyed watching Issei suffer as she joined in on teasing him.
