The Old Knight of a Frontier District

Episode 2: Sword Ghost (Part II)

2.

In the end, as it were, I decided to spend the night by the river.

Start picking up stones to form a kamado.

The old horse Stabolos is still eating the grass there.

When I finished collecting the stones, I heard two horses approaching.

One is Yotish Payne.

Now I'm not even trying to hide my killings.

The other is a stranger.

It looks more like a mercenary than a knight.

Down from the horse, Yotish talked to me.

"Hey, Lord Knight of the People.

I forgot to run some errands.

They let me come back.

Let me introduce you.

Lord Venn Urrill. "

Ven Urrill!

Is this the man?

He is a flowing knight called "Red Raven" (Lolo Spear).

They used to be knights in some middle country.

Seeing a strong opponent made me unable to stay in the country because I was the owner of a sexuality that I couldn't help but challenge a duel.

I also hear that you are asking me to fight a duel and kill someone like a raw (i.e.) man.

Is he now offering his sword to the Coendella family?

When a person dies, an invisible red raven (tease) flies and stops at the pillow.

When you see a red raven on your pillow, people die.

In view of such a legend, people call this man Red Raven.

This man has all sorts of strange rumors.

The last of them is that they are not human.

It is a mixture of subhuman blood.

I can't make a child of a subhuman and a human being.

There are rare things I can do, but I can't be born safe, let alone grow.

Strange rumor.

Has anyone who resents this man flushed it in bad faith?

"You're Baldo Lowen.

I wanted to see you. "

Dark, low voice.

I've never seen a man so sharp in sight, Bardo thought.

But I don't feel intimidating, and I don't feel madly possessed.

Rather, he's a man with a quiet, chilling atmosphere.

Baldo took off his cape, chirping and rattling his mouth.

Since the sound of a hoof is heard, the sword hangs from the waist.

Yotish Payne and Venn Urrill connected their horses to the shrub (Kanbo) about twenty steps away from Baldo and walked up to them.

The distance between the two is now about ten steps.

Venn Urrill took control of Yotish by hand.

Stay away from them.

"So long, Lord Lowen.

I have business for you. "

With that said, Yotish signals with his eyes, and Ven Uril takes four more steps.

"First, die."

Using Yotish's voice as a signal, Venn Urrill pulled out his sword, and Bardo also pulled out his sword to match it.

A good sword, Bardo thought when he saw the other sword.

Different brilliance.

It is a product that has been forged with a lot of good materials.

A little longer than Baldo's sword, but a little thinner.

Whereas Baldo's sword can be used with both hands, Venn Urrill's sword is the type that can only be used with one hand.

It is a sword used by swordsmen who value speed and skill.

The protective equipment is also hardened with leather armor and is likely to move easily.

If it only looks like it, Baldo's gear doesn't even resemble that of Ven Urrill.

Leather armor and a one-handed sword.

But the inner matter is a big difference.

If we meet properly, Baldo's sword could be broken in one blow.

In the first place, Bardo's good fighting style is one that uses full body armor and heavy, long swords.

I honed the way I fought with that gear over the years.

For Bardo, an enemy attack is not something to be fought against.

It is intolerable.

But you can't be properly attacked by your opponent in your current gear, the opponent is a famous swordsmith and a knight in the bend.

It would be like a battle with no winning eyes.

"Apply for a duel"

says Venn Urrill.

Even though it was now, its discipline was strange, and Bardo smiled faintly at his mouth.

If you're going to die anyway, I'm going to blow your mind.

Then I miss having no shield on my left hand.

And, thinking, chirp, chirp, I said, let's take it.

They both have swords with only their right hands.

Stuff the six-step distance in an instant, and the sword of Ven Urrill looms.

Baldo stays on his feet.

Venn Urrill ran his sword backwards from the bottom right.

It's like a disease.

Baldo pulls his left half into his body, further slightly deflecting his upper body.

The tip of the sword passes right in front of his left eye, but Bardo doesn't even close his eyes and watches Ven Urrill move.

Venn Urrill turned the slashed sword speed without slowing down at all and tried to slash it from the bottom left onto the right side of the bald.

Bardo began Ven Urrill's sword with a gesture that slowly poked his sword, paying him unconstitutionally outward, as he stepped half a step ahead of his right half body.

Aware of his inability to maintain his intended orbit, Venn Urrill attempted to bathe Baldo's chest with a slice of the thrust as he pulled his sword to his left sideways along the way and jumped forward one step.

However, because Bardo drew his sword back into the middle, Venn Urrill switched the target of the slaughter to Bardo's sword for fear of getting a counter on his head.

There was a metal noise and the two swords were met.

On the flank of Baldo's sword, in the form of the sword of Ven Urrill being struck.

Fortunately, Bardo's sword didn't break.

In addition, Bardo's muscle strength was so great that Bardo's sword was never ripped off.

Baldo will have defended himself three times during the Suu Yu period.

The Red Raven will be surprised.

And Bardo thought.

Rather than that, Bardo himself is surprised.

None of the three shots were slaughtered in the same way.

The first blow was the way the sword orbit could be predicted, so I just predicted the timing and pulled my body.

I didn't flinch when I saw the sword.

I was able to strike down the inverted sword because it was a knowing move.

Forty-eight years ago, when Bardo received his first sword gesture from the knight of the stream, it was a move that was shown many times.

When I turned away the first blow, I realized that this would flip back from the bottom, so I tried to pay for the flipped position with an approximate view, and it happened to hit me.

The third strike should be more than a further coincidence, Venn Urrill's overthought.

This was also taught by a former teacher that when the target's sword cannot be read, they should be placed in the middle to restrain the target anyway.

Venn Urrill read the sword into the middle because he didn't know what to do.

Nevertheless, Baldo found it amusing that forty-eight years ago was suddenly remembered and, moreover, could be performed reflexively.

At the same time, I've figured it out.

Ven Uril is a swordsman trained in regular swordsmanship.

It is also a master of skill.

Bardo thought the quality of his moves was fundamentally different from amateurs like himself who staged up on the battlefield.

Different types of intensity, it may be said.

That's not all.

Great moves too, but amazing, its speed.

The speed of Ven Urrill's sword, shudder.

The acquisition of weapons handling techniques involves a great deal of talent.

People are unsuitable.

But it's called speed.

Something called sword speed.

This can never be gained by talent alone.

Only the cloudy training time of piled blood produces a miraculous sword speed.

This flow knight of battle fanatics is a man of so much effort as he has never seen, Bardo found out.

I guess I like the sword and I like it and I can't help it.

I guess I'm only interested in my sword moves, which are polished by a life-threatening duel.

Of course, I have no doubt that this man was born with the gift of an extraordinary fine sword.

But this is not a sword that relies on talent.

If you throw away everything but the sword, you won't get this kind of moves and sword speed.

Ven Urrill pushed his sword from left to right with both hands.

Bardo responded to this with one right hand, and I thought, oh, this is that hand, right?

Push it and pull it off suddenly, cutting it where the enemy's posture has collapsed.

Where will you aim?

Head or foot.

Feet, Bardo expected.

That prediction, as it may happen, hit me.

While I was hitting it, I didn't let it.

A swordhaunted sword is drawn, and Bardo's left foot is mowed.

That fantastic speed is a bard-throated leg, not something you can fight at all.

But I'm glad Bardo didn't.

You can't win no matter how much you raise.

If I could at least put a single knife in it, I'd be glad to.

Baldo's sword stretched straight out of his front eye for his opponent's brain.

If you aim at the center of the body, you have a good chance of hitting it somewhere even if it is removed.

A sword ghost who cuts his body low and turns around the lower knee of Bardo's right foot.

Baldo pretends to be a sword with his right hand, glinting at its moving head.

Here again, the Sword Ghost showed great speed and reaction.

He switched his attitude backwards and quickly, which was completely forward.

Baldo's sword cut open the sky.

The slaughter of the sword ghost also had to remain shallow.

Baldo fell over as the attack with his weight cut off the sky and tore every boot next to the shin on his right leg.

I just fell over and it kills me.

As he rounded his body and fell, he grabbed the dead tree he was rolling with his left hand, and with the momentum and force of his left hand, he threw it in the direction where the enemy was supposed to be.

There's a handful of dead trees flying, boom, boom.

Even though we are on the verge of getting old, the extraordinary power (better) is alive and well.

The sword ghost sent a dead tree to the right, but he was disturbed to breathe jumping in.

The dead tree remained, flying towards Yotish Payne.

I guess I was totally in a bystander mood.

In the wake of the sudden flying dead tree, I managed to do something, but I stuck my buttocks on it.

It is like painting an unusual image.

After a moment of pomposity, I dyed my face to the vermilion and stood up,

"You fucking prick!

And he screamed, pulling his sword out with his right hand and trying to fly it to Baldo.

The sword ghost pushes it with his left hand.

"It's not your turn yet"

"Out of the way, Red Raven!

I'll kill you. "

Now, Bardo thought.

Small moves might work now.

In a signal from earlier, Stabolos stands by across the stone he has collected.

Baldo, while standing up,

Shoot him!

and shouted, thrust into the enemy.

The Sword Ghost is just as attentive to his surroundings, but only Baldo is in Yotish's eyes.

Stabolos kicked the stone he collected with his hind legs.

It was this signal that rattled my mouth properly.

When I was young, I made him remember with a joke.

It is quite large because it is a stone collected to make kamado.

Several stones that have been kicked over fly through the universe and hit two enemies.

Even in such circumstances, the Sword Ghost turned the stone brilliantly.

But for that, I let go of my hand from Yotish.

Yotish received a stone on his back.

There is also a stone shock, or because the sword ghost let go of his hand, Yotish falls over Baldo with his balance out.

I would have liked to have let Venn Urrill bathe in a machete if I could, but I couldn't help it.

With that in mind, Bardo ripped Yotish's throat straight to the side.

Yotish falls to the bluff as it is.

It's blood under my face. The whole place spreads.

Bardo set himself up for the next sword ghost attack, but the sword ghost stays cold looking down at Yotish and doesn't try to move.

I can no longer feel the killing spirit from the sword ghost.

Bardo wonders what's going on,

Is it a shame your employer is dead?

And I was at Venn Urrill.

"It's no shame this guy is dead.

This guy is not my employer either.

I just don't know what to do after I kill you because this guy's dead.

That means I no longer have a reason to kill you.

I'll keep the duel temporarily. "

And Ven Urrill said something that he could not understand, and when he waited for the blood to subside and tied Yotish up on his horse, and spanned his horse with his reins, he left.

3

I hung sand on the flowing blood and moved a little further away, where I was ready for camp.

Getting ready, Bardo wondered what they wanted to do after all.

I'm pretty sure he was trying to kill Bardo.

But for what?

Are you afraid that Bardo will do something from now on?

Baldo, wandering alone, has no power to harm Coendella.

A grudge?

I don't know about that, but hiring a guy like Venn Urrill is expensive.

There are mountains of men in the body who like rough things, and it's easy to kill one old man if you attack him with ten.

Some of them are as skilled as they are to snuggle Bardo today.

I wonder if my body can be trusted.

Leading ministers are hard to keep away from.

Bardo himself has rarely been far from the main castle and fortress (at Tori) until this year.

If Bardo's murder is the aim, Venn Urrill behaves strangely.

Doesn't knowing what to do after killing mean that killing is not an end in itself, but that there was some purpose after killing?

Well.

What will happen if you do not attack me to hurt or kill me?

Are you going to do something about my body?

Or can I help you with my luggage?

But I left everything worth it.

That much thought, Bardo recalled that Yotish had shown an unusual interest in bags of gold coins.

I took out a bag of gold coins, checked the contents, but nothing in it but gold coins.

Bags, no matter what, are normal bags.

Bardo didn't know what to think any more.

Besides, there were more important issues now.

Dinner is ready.

Fresh fish are baked all the time.

Shake off the delicious rock salt purchased in the city before this.

It is an irresistible scent.

Bardo took out a pot and a glass of liquor.

When Seidelmont broke up, he left me three pots of booze because this was a farewell from me.

He's a smart one.

and Bardo was pleased.

Definitely the finest, but also the dried liquor of Baldo's taste.

How you enjoy and drink this booze is the most important issue tonight.

Let's make soup too.

Eat just a little dried meat, too.

When the fish is cooked in time, make a glass of liquor chisel.

It's good!

Hit the fish.

It's the back part first.

Ooh!

River fish may have odors, but what a vibrant one this is.

Next scratch the gut.

Mmm!

It's not bitter.

Rather sweet.

Is it because it's fresh?

Does it depend on the type of fish?

Baked fat teasing guts are an unspeakable delicacy.

Its sweet and fragrant flavor can be considered a fisherman's privilege.

Well, it doesn't matter what's hard.

I'm hungry, I have good liquor and good food, and I can eat that.

I can't be happier.

The slashed right leg stings and hurts, but you won't mind if you drink some more.

My back aches every time, and I can't help it now.

It's not even a year to be surprised if you're going to die one day.

What needs to be done is done.

All you have to do is live and die like you live.

Looking at the stars of the heavens and the wind across the river, Bardo enjoyed dinner.
