The Only Delicacy

At the very last moment before the brothers would explode, Scarlet stood up, escaped from Kevin's tender hold on both of her elbows, and then immediately ran towards Kyle's direction while forgetting the painful injury on her two elbows.

She did not have the time to think of what was the next appropriate thing to do or of the consequences due to her next action. As a matter of fact, she never had any plans as of the moment.

Even if she had made plans before hand, it would all be useless, because she could not control her body that instantly moved by instinct at the very last second.

Before the twins could make any mindless, impulsive, powerful and brutal movements in the blink of an eye, they were caught dumbfounded before they even knew it.

As a matter of fact, the one caught dumbfounded the most was Kyle, and after him would be Kevin.

Never in Kyle's wildest dreams had he expected that something so overwhelming would happen now, more so within the clinic.

Because of his reserved personality ever since he was a child, he had never found the opportunity to introduce himself to his first love, more so even casually chat with her during class time.

Yet here he was, in the arms of the girl he loved!

Kyle became so lost in the moment that he literally forgot why he went to the clinic in the first place! The viscous and beastly aura he had unleashed within him had immediately vanished into thin air, making it seem as if that past event had been nothing more, but a dream.

He affectionately looked down towards the girl, whose height had barely even reached his chest, tightly hugging him and became intoxicated by her heavenly-sweet wild flower scent.

When his first love swiftly embraced him, what Kyle felt in this sweet but fleeting moment were the pleasant warmth of her upper body, the beautiful little face buried within his chest, the rapid beating of her heart, the soft mounds gently crushing onto his stomach, the delicate and slender arms wrapping around him, and lastly, the trembling sensations she instinctively released.

But he did not even have the luxury to notice the sad causes of the girl's trembling, because presently, he had been struck by an enormous cupid arrow through his heart, leaving an invisible bloody mess towards every nook and corner of the clinic.

This was the first physical contact he had with his first love!

Adding on to his sweet infatuation, the girl he loved was currently using all her efforts to hug him, despite the fact that her small frame and arms could barely fully wrap around his entire upper body.

Moreover, it was not him who initiated the move, but her!

Right now, Kyle drifted off to wonderland.

Even though he had nothing to fear of the woman in front of him, Kyle was also currently trembling just like his first love.

Moreover with so many overwhelming thoughts, so many sugary-sweet feelings, and so many pleasant sensations being released from the innermost core of his being, he had to use everything within his capabilities in order to simply stand upright, because he felt like he could happily die in his present state, which was in her arms, with no regrets.

However, he had too many ambitions, visions, and dreams for the future to even think of carelessly dying within her arms.

No, he must survive at the very last moment!

Thus, his own slight trembling only lasted for a second, thereby making the girl embracing him not notice and making it seem as if nothing had happened at all.

Their vulnerability towards their first love was yet an another amusing similarity between the brothers.

While Kyle was mentally enduring from collapsing towards the hard marble floor or from dying due to blood loss because of too much nosebleed, Kevin became dumbfounded as well from the totally unexpected move of his beloved sweetheart.

Never in Kevin's wildest dreams had he expected for the girl beside him to hug his brother while they were amidst the commencement of a proxy World War 3.

Literally speaking, they had no plans to involve her in such a bloody war, for that would be against the twin's code of honor, love, and pride as fellow men.

Only an idiot, or someone much lesser than that, would involve their beloved in a deadly battle.

Even if one tiny part in her mind had told her that she did not have to do anything at all because she would not be hurt from their personal battle, Scarlet would not listen, because her body's mind got the best of her.

While he was still sitting on the chair dumbfounded, Kevin was currently lost in his thoughts as to whether his beloved sweetheart had any feelings for his brother or not.

He only met his beloved sweetheart today and now, his brother was stealing her away from him.

He felt miserable, pitiful, and pathetic.

From the thought of that, he became insecure and did not know what to do.

Ever since he was a child, Kevin would gladly give up his first place award, his parent's impression of him, and even his own inheritance for his one and only brother, because, out of all the pretentious family members he had, Kyle was the only one different.

Kyle was the only real family he had left.

However, everything became different now that it involved his beloved sweetheart, Scarlet.

While tightly clenching onto the medical instruments, his emotions stirred up with turmoil and uproar. He did not know why he felt this way, but what he did know was that this was the start of a huge problem.

A problem very difficult to solve, despite how much of a genius he was.

Moreover, because of being in a hopeless state as a genius that was already blinded by love, Kevin could not think of the girl's simple reasons for her daring and desperate actions.

He did not even know why she had decided to hug Kyle at that very last second.

Being in such a precarious state, both of the brothers completely forgot about the entire event that took place a while ago, thereby making the wholly tensed atmosphere within the academy vanish into thin air while bringing back the peaceful atmosphere that the students had greatly longed for.

The doubled tense and beastly pressure was now gone!

The pitiful and perplexed students were now bursting out with joy!

In fact, that entire event happened for merely 5 seconds before vanishing into thin air. However, those mere 5 seconds were deadly enough to make them frantically run for their lives.

Yet again, the disordered students found on the exits, on the doors, and on the gates had already forgotten the reason they were there in the first place when it was still lunch time.

When they got back to their senses, they immediately went back to the canteen and to the other places they were occupying before they had lost their minds, as if the enormous change of atmosphere had never occurred there to begin with.

Not knowing that her mindless, desperate, and daring actions had saved the entire school from chaos and had made the brothers dumbfounded for solely different reasons, the culprit, Scarlet, had just realized she was hugging Kyle without knowing the reason why.

Wait, she did know the reason. She felt very guilty towards her first friend. Therefore, her body instinctively moved.

However now, she unknowingly became their sacrificial lamb.

While she was beginning to regret her actions, her senses instantly heightened when she smelled the intoxicating manly scent before her, thereby making her feel the solid and firm upper body within her embrace, the pleasant warmth of having him in her grasp, the rapid beating of his heart, and the odd hard object that was painfully poking at her delicate stomach.

Not only that, she also realized the pain coming from the two wounds, which almost seemed to stretch due to her swift movements, in both of her elbows.

Realizing the current strange state she was now in, Scarlet trembled while thinking if she had made her classmate, Kyle, angry or disgusted in any way because of her idiotic and instinctive actions.

While she was trembling as if she was the most vulnerable and pitiful bunny in the world, her big, bright and lovely eyes looked up towards him, hoping to not catch him angry in order to avoid facing more terrible consequences on the next moment.

However, what she saw next had exceeded her expectations. Or, to be more precise, it was completely the opposite of her expectations.

Scarlet's already large eyes widened some more and her red lips slightly parted when she saw the colorful, flowery, vibrant, and sweet expression that Kyle displayed while looking down towards her.

During classes, Kyle always showed nothing but a cool, aloof, and serious expression. But right now, the sweet expression he had displayed was like encountering an entirely different person.

Kyle's beautiful black jewels glowed upon the midday sunlight and his thin kissable lips moved slightly upwards, making his tiny dimples clearly visible.

Simply speaking, his whole being softened when he looked at her.

Yes, he was gently smiling at her for the very first time while looking very much like Kevin, except for the glasses and crew-cut hair.

Instead of him detesting her for what she did, Scarlet felt as if he had lovingly accepted her actions. She even felt like he would gladly welcome some more of them at any given time.

Was it her imagination?

While she was currently lost in her thoughts as she looked onto the man's eyes because of the sudden sweet change of expression he had given her, Scarlet never realized that Kyle immediately responded by instinctively wrapping his arms around her slim waist, thereby tightening both of their holds on each other and crushing the girl more in his arms.

When she felt him hugging her back but with more force than necessary, Scarlet became surprised and confused.

Her mind became muddled up with a lot of questions, with these two main questions leading towards the domino effect inside her brain.

Since he smiled back then, was he amused by her cute initial display of protection towards her first friend?

And since he responded to her embrace, was he accepting her as the sacrificial lamb in order to not commence the next proxy World War 3?

All that Scarlet could do now were to simply and obediently stay within his embrace and then, regret.

No, she must not regret. For if her first friend was not there by her side, she would not be seeing the light up to this day.

Hence, she strengthened her resolution. Since she willingly told Kevin her name and made him her first friend, she must take responsibility.

Scarlet immediately stopped trembling and completely yielded into his embrace, facing him head on with a beautiful and powerful gaze.

Once he saw her lovely eyes gazing back up at him while gleaming with beautiful confidence, Kyle became dumb, no, cupid-struck for an nth time again.

Seeing his reflection on her two eyes that shone like dark brown jewels under the midday sunlight made him feel like he was the only one in her eyes.

His heart drummed as if it was playing on a rock and roll band, his cheeks entirely reddened, his arms trembled, and his manhood became more sexually aroused, unintentionally hurting the girl's stomach all the more.

Right then, he stopped smiling. He could barely keep his cool in front of the girl he liked, more so look straight at her.

His embarrassing state made him want to look away.

Therefore, Kyle never once shifted his gaze away and looked straight down towards her head on, making Scarlet a bit startled because of their first eye-contact.

But when she felt his hands slightly trembling while holding on to her tightly and when she saw the extremely red face he had up to his ears, Scarlet then immediately felt sorry for him because of the burden she had unintentionally thrown upon him.

Taking up a sacrificial lamb out of the blue was difficult, especially when he had to bottle his anger up towards his brother for unknown reasons.

While looking at his current state, Scarlet immediately furrowed her brows upwards and became worried. She had just learned her lesson from Mathilda a while ago, but now, she was hurting someone in the same manner through these so-called 'bottles.'

When he saw her sincere, earnest, and worried gaze upon him, Kyle's heart exploded from too much moe and cupid arrows, making a lot of invisible blood, arrows, and hearts scatter onto their surroundings.

Kyle's entire face reddened like an apple as he gazed onto her, thinking that she was worried about him because he was about to explode from anger a little while ago.

Meanwhile for the past few minutes, Kevin was now the one feeling like a light bulb amidst the bittersweet atmosphere between the sun and the moon.
