The Only Delicacy

As she slowly walked towards the classroom, Scarlet began to sweat and slightly pant. Yes, the pain in between her legs had lightened, but it did not change the fact that it was still there to make her suffer. Adding on to the burden, her classroom was just way too far!

In fact, her classroom was quite near, considering that she was at her normal state. But, right now, the small distance she had walked felt like a kilometer.

Once she had arrived outside the door, Scarlet noticed that all of the students inside were rowdy, as if something exciting had just happened, which made her curious all the more. She sneakily peeked inside the classroom and eavesdropped.

From her perspective, Scarlet could see all the girls crowded into one side, while the boys were crowded into the other side. Why were they divided?

"What?! Are you sure?!" One girl excitedly exclaimed, because she could not believe her own ears.

"Duh, of course! How many times should I tell you?! Not one, but TWO!! Because of you, my throat hurts! Do you want to have ear surgery?! No, not want. Do you 'need' one?!" Another girl followed, proudly exclaiming the facts as if she was showing-off one of her best assets, while reprimanding her deaf friend.

"OMG! THE BOTH OF THEM?! D*mn, our idol is lucky~~!" The girl beside them exclaimed while blushing severely. Needless to say, she had already drifted off to cloud nine.

"Ay! I can't believe my own ears, ah!" One boy on the opposite side exclaimed gloomily. He was like the first girl, not believing his own ears.

"Me too! Why does our goddess have to be taken by our boss?! Moreover, it's the both of them!! BOTH OF THEM!!" Another boy exclaimed while tears were threatening to fall from his eyes. This was absolutely one of the worst news he had ever heard for his whole life. However, he must never cry.

'Or else I could never call myself a true man!' was what he believed.

"IDIOT! It's only befitting for our goddess to have a partner like them! Would you be satisfied if she gets taken by someone other than them?! Huh?!" The boy behind them stood up and smacked his friend's brain. It did not matter if his friend would become more stupid after he smacked him, because his intelligence quotient was already low to begin with.

Making his friend more stupid would do absolutely no harm at all.

'Boss? Goddess? Idol? Idiot?? What?' Scarlet thought as she tilted her head to one side. Even though she was more intelligent than them, she could not catch up to any of their conversation at all.

Hence, Scarlet decided to just ask one of the girls in the classroom, despite not being close to any of them. However, as soon as she took the first step inside, all of the rowdiness inside the classroom had calmed down.

Not one voice or movement was heard, making her flinch and confused.

Since she was already used to being stared at by a number of people, Scarlet averted her eyes and slowly proceeded to her seat with calmness, professionally disregarding all those odd glances all around her. Presently, she had forgotten about asking one of the girls about what had happened.

However, even though she was not looking at them, Scarlet could still feel the intense gazes around her. In fact, she could feel their gazes intensifying once she had sat down her seat.

Was it her imagination?

Did she do something wrong?

Scarlet hastily checked if she had worn her uniform properly, but everything was clean as she had expected.

Hence, Scarlet turned to look at her seatmate, who was Kyle. She was already used to him staring at her direction, so she thought he was the only normal person in the classroom that she could ask.

Out of all the students, Scarlet could say that she was closer to him than all the others. She did not know why she felt this way, but that was of no concern as of the moment.

"Um, is it okay if I ask you something?" Scarlet hastily leaned onto his ears and whispered, breaking the small distance between them.

Because of how sudden she was and how close she had become, Kyle became so concentrated on her wild flower scent and the warmth of her breath that he had forgotten all about her question. He only slightly blushed and trembled as he intensely stared at her.

Needless to say, Kyle felt a huge cupid arrow striking at his heart. But, he felt like it had slightly missed the center point.

Was it his imagination?

Unbeknownst to Kyle, he was already blacklisted by the cupid. Blacklisted because Kyle had captured the interest of what was not his in the first place! And that was his assignment!

"Hmph! That shy and worthless being ought to be grateful that a high being, like me, is even going all the way to simply shoot his heart!" Alfred wanted to lash out and curse towards that fellow ingrate, but he sadly could not.

Why were cupids supposed to be invisible?! Who made that rule?!

"Did I do anything wrong?" Scarlet continued while closing the distance to Kyle's ear until her lips had slightly touched his earlobe, making Kyle feel like she was kissing him, making him drift off to wonderland, and making him want to die of moe.

Presently in his mind, Kyle would love for her to speak to him forever.

"No." Because he wanted to look cool in front of the girl he loved, Kyle promptly replied while pretending he was not affected at all. But, the visible blush and tender gaze all proved it otherwise.

"Then, why are they looking at me like that?" Scarlet mercilessly continued while not realizing the battle that Kyle had with his heart.

Hearing her question, Kyle immediately shifted his gaze and glared at his classmates. He did not want his beloved to feel uncomfortable. More than that, he did not want his possession to be stared at or even touched slightly.

When they saw his glare, all of them immediately turned away and pretended to focus on their studies, because they had realized the hidden meaning behind that glare.

'She's mine. Back off.'

However, instead of feeling sad, all the girls had now drifted to a cloud higher than cloud nine. That manly jealousy and intimidating glare just for their idol was absolutely a public display of affection! Anything more than that and they were not sure if their hearts would be able to survive at all!

On the other side, even the boys' hearts beat rapidly. That glare was too intense that their respect for their leader had increased into a whole new level, to the point that they wanted to be like him!

Indeed, their goddess was meant for their boss!

Sensing that no one was staring at her, Scarlet became dumbfounded yet again. Was it all her imagination? Just how many times had she imagined things now? Was this a side effect to the pain or the red marks?

'I must immediately go to the clinic at break time!' Scarlet vowed to herself.

While she was lost in her thoughts, Scarlet did not realize that she was still leaning on to Kyle's ear. Meanwhile, Kyle never bothered to remind her, for he liked staying in that position. In fact, he desired for her to come even closer than that.
