Chapter 2 - Correct Answer, Reward Issued

“Why don’t you answer the question first?” Suggested Nick Fury.

So far, it was not clear what was wrong with the sudden appearance of the quiz, but apparently it wanted both of them to answer the question.

Tony scratched the stubble on chin. “Will we be rewarded if we get the correct answer? Or will there be a penalty if we get the wrong answer?”

Facing this kind of abnormality, his reaction speed was not much slower than Nick Fury, he was ready to accept it just that he was tentatively probing for a reply.

Countless doubts arose in his mind. If it was not a prank, then it was most likely related to an alien force, or some kind of so-called God’s prank?

[Wrong answer: Deducting one year’s lifespan.] [Correct answer: Complete blueprint of Mark 6 type armor!]

The weird voice replied.

“What? Mark 6?” Tony was in a state of shock, he had only just developed the Mark 3 armor which he used to defeat uncle Obadiah. He hadn’t even started to conceive the idea of Mark 4 type, and they already had a complete mark 6 blueprint set.

Tony’s mind instinctively wandered to the possibility of it being a scam, but what good was it to lie to him.

As for deducting one year of his life span, how would this lifespan be measured? If he answered wrong, how would the other party deduct one year of his life?

How were they even able to measure this lifespan?

If the possibility of a prank was excluded, the question became almost interesting. He might have encountered such a strange thing while reading a novel. Perhaps, this was the treatment that only the protagonist could have?

“Is there a time limit for answering questions?” Asked Tony diligently

[There is no time limit, but you are restricted by range.] [During the answering period, you must not leave the range of this villa!]

The sound of the weird machinery resounded throughout the hall.

Tony nodded. “If that’s the case, then it doesn’t sound too hard, hey you, man with the braised egg head, let’s analyze this problem.”

“Braised egg head?” Nick Fry was frustrated at once, mostly because his head did not actually resemble a braised egg.

Tony didn’t mean to speak what he had on his mind, but it slipped out accidently. And yet, his pride was too strong to feel guilty about his words.

“Do not mind the details!” Tony exclaimed, attempting to quickly change the subject. “From this point of view, if no one is joking with us, and if this is true, then there should be someone and something involved!”

“Overlord of the Universe?” The first thing Nick Fury noticed was the universe overlord Thanos mentioned in this question.

“So there are really aliens in this world?” Tony Stark asked.

On the current earth, the existence of aliens was still a mystery, at least at the level that ordinary people could reach.

“Yes!” Nick Fury was silent for a while, then finally nodded, he had been in contact with aliens for a large portion of his life and he was even friends with an alien superhero, Captain Marvel. Typically he would keep this a secret from ordinary people, but since he was planning to recruit Tony anyways, he saw no reason to not tell him.

Even with all his knowledge, he didn’t know who this Universe Overlord Thanos was, but being called as the Overlord of the Universe, he or she was obviously not an ordinary character.

Thinking of such a powerful existence in the universe, he suddenly felt that it was very necessary to form the Avengers by himself.

“Okay, then, besides this universe overlord Thanos, who is Doctor Strange?” Tony Stark asked. “Sounds like a juggler!”

Nick Fury paused for a moment before answering. “I don’t know about this, but what I can tell you is that besides me, I know three of the four people mentioned in the options. The first is you, the third is Black Widow, and the fourth is Hawkeye. All them are S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.”

Originally, he wanted to arrange for Black Widow to sneak into Tony Stark’s company, conduct a close evaluation of him, and evaluate whether he was qualified to be a superhero. But now, this plan might have to be shelved.

Not necessarily though because only the name Black Widow was mentioned here, and her original identity was not revealed.

Maybe that trick could still be utilized.

Tony couldn’t help but feel a headache arriving when he heard Nick’s claims. There was no useful information at all.

“Now there is no other clue, who is this universe overlord Thanos? I don’t know, who is Doctor Strange, and what is the Time Stone? Since we have no clue, then we can only take a gamble!”

Tony Stark said.

“Black Widow, Hawkeye, I have never heard of it. At first glance, they seem like a supporting role. You do not look like a positive character either. It can only be me. I have enough value!”

Braised Egg head, no, it was Nick Fury who listened to it as his face got darker, what kind of logic was this?

Tony Stark was really arrogant.

“I choose A, Tony Stark!”

Tony Stark said, the surface was extremely calm, but the heart felt very nervous. After all, no one could really face this mysterious side of things calmly, and he might even lose one year of his life.

[Reply–]

Tony Stark and Nick Fury both widened their eyes and held their breath.

. . .

[Correct!] [Call!]

The two breathed out a long breath, almost suffocating to death.

“Hahaha, I really am the Son of Destiny. Although I don’t know what the Time Stone is, it sounded very important, but compared to me, Tony Stark, it is still insignificant!”

Tony Stark said triumphantly.

Nick Fury couldn’t help but press his forehead, his blood pressure was really surging.

This narcissist!

[Reward distribution!]

The weird mechanical sound arrived again.

In front of Tony Stark, a USB flash drive emerged as it floated. Obviously, in it, it should be Mark 6’s blueprint.

Both of them stared at each other, because none of them could see how the USB flash drive suddenly appeared.

“It’s really not a prank!”

Tony Stark held the USB flash drive in his palm and confirmed that it was indeed a USB flash drive, and it appeared without any warning.

“How did it appear? Science? Magic?”

Nick Fury tried to deduce the many supernatural powers in his mind.
