The Next Morning

Time: Dawn Location: [Leaf] Main Gate

At the gate Minato, Kakashi and Rin were ready to depart for their first A Rank mission with all their stuff ready, but the only thing that prevented that from happening was their always late teammate - Obito Uchiha. Soon the boy's silhouette could be seen running towards in haste.

Seeing his fl.u.s.tered face caused Rin to have a helpless smile.

"Come on Obito! Hurry up." She cheered for her best friend. Which seemed quite effective since in no time he was before them.

"Sorry guys, there was this lady who dropped her glasses in the dark which took a lot longer to find then I expected."

Kakashi seemed like he wanted to say something but Minato began to speak.

"That's fine Obito, helping others is a good quality to have, just be more mindful about the time and place. Now then, let us depart."

The four began their journey.

Time: Night Location: Land of Grass

"We are in the North-East part of [Grass] now, be alert, there are chances there will be enemy ninjas waiting for us."

It has been a day and a half since they left the village. It was already night and soon they reached the place where the intel told the forbidden Forest began.

'The journey has been very peaceful, not including Kakashi and Obito's frequent fights of course. But I'm getting a bad feeling. Need to be on the lookout....Oh enemy ninjas, 4 near us and 8 a few distance behind them, 12 in total. This is a nice opportunity for the team to grow, I'll leave the 4 to them.'

"Okay everyone, we have reached border of the place, but it's time to call it a day. Obito, make fire. Kakashi scout the surroundings. Rin prepare our meal . I'll go on ahead to check any traces of enemies." Woosh*

"Phew~ I'm tired. Ok then, [Fire Style: Mini Fireball] Zoom* Crackle* Aaand Done." Looking proud.

"I'll go check the surroundings as sensei asked. Obito, don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."Woosh*

"Who do you think I am you jerk!"

"Now now, Kakashi is just worried about you Obito. Come on, help me cut the vegetables."

"Roger!"

Minato who left to deal with 8 ninja while avoiding the first 4 was about to reach them.

He pulled out 7 [Flying Thunder God] Kunais and threw 6 of them at the enemy's general direction

undetected, while he reverse holds the 7th in his left hand.

'I should confirm whether they are [Rock] ninjas or not.'

Soon the ninjas became aware of Minato's presence as well.

"State you purpose, ninja." The ninja in the most front- probably their leader - asked, as Minato had a hood on.

Even though they too were wearing robes, Minato could make out some distinct features and the way the leader was speaking to confirm his doubt.

'[Rock] ninjas, confirmed. Let's finish this in quicky.'

Minato's blue eyes sharpened as he dashes towards the presumed leader. Seeing this the leader does the same to engage Minato in a close combat fight, thinking the other's will finish him while Minato is distracted. But just as they were about to clash, Minato disappeared with a yellow flash.

'Where did he go?' His question was answered by a scream at the far back.

'What?! How did he?' Before he could think more the saw a unique but familiar kunai flying towards him. He quickly deflected it with his kunai.

ting* making it fly up.

By this time he heard another scream to his right. When he turned his head it was already over the ninja was dead. He began to feel the dread.

"Gather! Everyone make a circle!" Everyone got out of their daze and began to gather.

'Just who is this ninja. That familiar kunai and that yellow trail he leaves behind.' As the leader of the ninja and the rest forms a circle he racks his brain to recall.

'2 down, 6 to go. Oh, they are gathering in a circle. Nice, this gives me a chance to try out my new

version of [Flying Thunder God] technique.'

Minato appears a few distance in front of the leader. He senses the kunais he threw before the battle had begun. They all together formed a rough circle.

For the first time the leader takes a clear look at Minato, he finally recalls why he was so familiar. But he wished he had not because.

"Y-you are..." before he could continue Minato vanished again with flash.

'[Spiralling Flash Super Round Dance Howl Style Three]!' (A/N: Minato really has zero naming sense...seriously, what the heck's with this long a.s.s name?!)

Flashes of yellow appeared everywhere as everyone was send flying with various cuts, in all directions except the leader who was in the middle of the circle.

Unknowingly the kunai he deflected up fell back down and when it was just above him Minato appeared behind with the kunai in his hand, pressed against the leader's neck.

"Sorry for the late introductions. I'm Namekaze Minato." He said with a smile which to the leader looked absolutely terrifying.

"K-konoha's Yellow Flash." He forced out.

"Indeed, but as of now I'll have you sleep"

Minato first knocked him out and then pressed his palm on the leader's head and a seal appeared.

[Seal: Suspended Sleep]

[Summoning Jutsu : Toad] Poof* a human size toad popped up from the smoke.

"What can I do for you, Minato-sama"

"Can you take this ninja to the [Leaf] village?"

"As you wish." The toad took the leader put him in the bag he carried behind him and hopped away at amazing speed.

Minato quickly checked if he disposed everyone. As he was about done he felt a few new presences.While they all felt normal, except there was this one unique presence. This presence felt Natural; Calm and soothing like a 10,000 year old tree. But as Minato tried to go deeper, he felt a chill go down his spine. Underneath that soothing and calm aura was the scent of Death and void, as of it was nothing.

"How can someone's aura be so polar? So full of life yet so grounded in death. No time ponder, It's near Obito and the others, I should hurry." He disappeared into the wind.

A few minutes before Minato's battle.

Things were not going as smoothly for the trio as it did for Minato. Which is obvious, Minato was a Kage level ninja, if not higher, while the trio were just chunin with Kakashi almost Jounin. They were against 2 Jounin and 2 chunin level threats. With Kakashi fighting a Jounin and a chunin, Obito a Jounin and Rin a chunin. They were struggling.

Everything began when Kakashi was scouting the surroundings when he sensed there were enemies fast approaching.

'Need to inform the others and then decide the next course of action.'

He quickly returned to the camp, he saw Obito and Rin were almost done with the meal.

They saw Kakashi.

"You are quite early, is something wrong?" Rin asked, concerned.

"Enemies approaching, they are more than 2. We need to decide our next course of action. Should we retreat or engage in a fight?"

"Of course we will fight! How can I become Hokage if I just back down without a fight." Obito shouted, clearly rejecting with the prospect of running, while Rin seemed conflicted.

"Think this rationally, we don't know the exact enemy number nor their strength. If they are too strong for us we will have to somehow survive till sensei comes back."(Kakashi)

Their conversation came to a stop due to a voice interrupting them; shocking everyone, especially Kakashi.

"Hehehe, too bad kids it's too late for you to run."

As he said those words 3 more ninjas appeared beside him. 2 male and 1 female.

'How did I not sense them! and according to their speed it should have taken at least 3 more minutes.'

"Wondering how come we arrived so quickly and undetected?" The female one spoke with a smirk which really annoyed Obito.

"I don't care you old hag![Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu]!"

"What did you just called me you brat?! You'll pay the price![Earth Style : Earth Bullet]" Boom!*

With Obito starting the battle Kakashi and Rin also engaged their own battle with Kakashi taking on 2 opponents and Rin fighting the last the last one.

After the clash of their jutsus the kunoichi (A/N: Female Ninja btw) quickly made hand seals.

[Earth Style: Earth Wave]

"Woah"

The ground started to move like waves in the sea causing Obito to lose his footing. Making use of the chance she created she threw a few shurikens and dashed forth.

Ting* ting* ting*

Sparks flew as Obito barely managed to block them but due to to his unstable footing a few hit his arms and one on his right shoulder. He did his best to steady himself for the kunoichi's coming attack and then jumped to the side.

Slash* tear* He avoided it. but he now had a vertical tear in his jacket.

"That was too close." Sweat already forming on his forehead.

"What happened brat? Already giving up?" The kunoichi asked in a condescending manner.

"In you dreams!" He began to form hand seals.

[Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire Jutsu]

He spits a volley of small fireballs into the air; at a glance, it appeared as though there was only one fireball that then burst into many small ones.

Due to it's initial appearance, the kunoichi make the mistake of dodging the fireball.

'Shit!' As she dodged it the fire balls followed. Boom!*

"Huff* Huff* How do you like that you old hag!" Thinking the battle is over he lets his guard down.

But then a shadow emerges from the ground behind him.

"Obito, behind you!" Kakashi tries get towards him but was prevented from helping himas narrowly dodges a rock covered punch. 'Tsk'

"You should worry about your self brat" says the ninja as the other unleashes another jutsu at Kakashi.

"W-what?" Obito hastily jumps front as he turns back. But it was too late.

[Earth Style: Underground Projection Fish Technique]

Slash* "Aarrgh!" Blood flew everywhere.

""Obito!""

Both Rin and Kakashi shouted as they saw their friend and teammate get a deep horizontal wound at his back, which could have been his neck if not for Kakashi's warning. Obito was send flying as he barely got himself stable, but soon his legs gave out causing him to fall with his wounded back against a tree.

Seeing both of them distracted the other ninja took advantage of it.

Slash* Punch* Kick* "Aagh!"

Kakashi being the strongest in the team was able to barely block the 2 incoming attacks with a few small injuries. But Rin was not as competent, which ;eft her with a broken left arm due to the kick.

Both of them were clearly exhausted and the enemy knew it too.

"This is the end [Leaf] brats."

'Damn it! Is this how my journey will end?' Both Kakashi and Obito were thinking something similar.

'Are we really going to die?' and so did Rin.

Just as each of the ninjas were about to finish the three off and as the three were about to give in to despair, everyone noticed something. *winds blows*

There were beautiful pink petals falling from above; glowing under the moonlight. They could hear faint sound of rhythmic footsteps approaching towards them. tap*....tap*....tap*....tap*

Finally they saw who was approaching them, and what they saw shocked them while at the same time caused the females to bush deeply.

It was a boy with beautiful long white hair and blue/pink eyes which seemed to glow in the dark.

He wore a white robe which had a hood with flowers as a pin in the middle along with loose black leggings which had golden lines. (Merlin from Fate/Grand Order. any Stage you prefer. or just see the book cover)

Then they heard the calm, soothing voice of the boy.

"Hm? It seems like you need a bit of assistance. Leave it to me. I shall end this, like a dream."
