The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

Chapter 48 - Resolution (3)

Okami remembered that he still had to redeem the Pokemon Safari as one of his rewards. He cast Palkia's Mass Teleport and brought Toki and Baki with him at the backyard near the forest's entrance.

Both his employees suffered once again and Okami waited for their condition to eased up. When he saw that their complexion returned to normal, he then explained to them about the Pokemon Safari.

"Remember that this forest will become the sanctuary of all the duplicated Pokemon I have released in the past," Okami explained as he shifted his attention to Tomiro and added, "and all the duplicated Pokemon released by Tomiro-Oniisan in the future will also live here. This is called the Pokemon Safari."

Okami summoned the Pokemon App and redeemed the Pokemon Safari. In an instant, the space distorted around them for a while until it became stable once again and saw that a visible barrier surrounded the forest including the pond beside it. He checked the Pokemon App and verified what the changes were.

*******************************

Congratulations on redeeming the Pokemon Safari.

Protected by Palkia's Barrier.

Only the ones allowed by you are able to enter this forest.

Wild pokemon from the Pokemon world could not enter the forest.

Another clan position is available:

1) Pokemon Ranger - pokemon experts that are known to traverse the forest without fail.

Okami smiled when he thought that it was his chance to let the Pokemon Safari develop on its own while he was gone. "With regards to the Pokemon Safari, it will be covered with Palkia's barriers and no one can enter it until I return. Even the Hokage can't bypass our clan's barrier powers."

He turned around and was about to tell them more about the situation when he noticed that many Pidgeys were flocked together up the sky as they headed in the same direction.

"Boss, look!" Tomiro called his attention as he gazed up as well.

Okami smiled. "Let me handle it, Oniisan. I thought I will be having problems in finding some volunteers so that I can both show you one of the basics of Palkia's Jutsu. Luckily, these Pidgeys came at the right time."

Baki felt his back was cold with sweat. "Is this really okay, young Okami?"

"Of course." Okami gave a light laugh and was about to start the skill when he noticed several movements a hundred meters away from the Pokemon Center. "Looks like we've got some company."

True enough, Tomiro and Baki saw Hiruzen, Kakashi, and many other Jounins arriving at Okami's front yard.

Hiruzen observed the sky and saw the birds that were about to dive towards them. "Okami-kun, let us handle these things."

Okami shook his head. "Don't worry. Let me have the spotlight this time, Hokage-sama. After all, I want to at least leave some impression to all of you before leaving Konoha."

Kakashi frowned. "This is not a good time to make a joke, Okami-kun."

"I never treat my life as a joke, Kakashi-sensei," Okami refuted him while he scanned the rest of the ninjas. "Hokage-sama, better tell everyone that they should not interfere in teaching my employees some of my clan's Jutsu or I'll be forced to make some action against them."

A Hyuga in flak jacket stepped forward and shouted. "Who are you to dictate what we should do?!"

Okami tilted his head. "Hokage-sama, I'm not really in the mood to discussed such nonsense things. Would you do me the favor of controlling them or should I be the one to stop them?"

"Brat! You still have to - "

"Stop it, Dashi!" Hiruzen barked at him when he realized that Okami was serious about it.

"But - " Dashi was not able to continue what he wanted to say when he noticed that Hiruzen was glaring at him. "Okay, Hokage-sama."

Inoichi found out Okami's plan through Shikaku and tried looking for another solution but could not do so. "Okami-kun, there is still time to back out if you want to."

Okami just smiled and turned around as he faced the coming birds. When he realized that they were within his territory, he did a fake hand seal as he imagined the forest where Iruka fought with Mizuki and said, "Mass Teleport."

All of the Pidgeys were covered with lights and vanished without a trace.

"Too bad I can't do the rest of the Jutsus here since my time is limited, old Baki," Okami said while he walked towards the main entrance of the Pokemon Center.

"So, this is it! I hope that you intend to fulfill your promise, Hokage-sama." Okama did several hand seals and shouted, "Summon: Two Pokemon Manifestation of the Dragon Gods!"

Two swiveling lights appeared up the sky.

On the right, a light purple theropod-like Pokémon with stripes and markings of a darker shade and gray underarms and waist emerged as soon as the light dissipated. Its round purple-striped plates on its shoulder area were very prominent to look at, where two pink pearls were encrusted with a gray rim encircling them and fins in their back. Its arms had extended formations resembling gauntlets and a purple band around each wrist while its long neck, a pointed white crest on the top of its head that extended to its wings, two strong horn-like tusks on the sides of its jaw, and a powerful tail made it very majestic.

On the left, a dark blue sauropod-like Pokémon with some gray metallic portions, such as its c.h.e.s.tplate, which had a diamond in the center, appeared as well. Its fin-like structure on its back and a crest on its head, resembling a dinosaur, were visible to all. The two horns on top of its head, two fang-like horns around its mouth, and three spines on the back of its neck made it all the more ferocious and powerful to stare at.

Everyone had different reactions when they saw the gigantic pokemon but there were two things common to how they feel - fear and shock. The pressure coming from these two pokemon reminded Hiruzen and the rest about the notorious Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. They unconsciously stepped back when they saw these two pokemon moved.

"Okami-kun?! What's the meaning of this?" Hiruzen shouted as he stood in a fighting stance.

Okami spurted out some blood from his mouth and coughed.

"Boss!" Tomiro was about to rush forward but a barrier had stopped him from approaching Okami.

Okami gave Tomiro a thumbs-up as he wiped the blood off his mouth. He then shifted his attention to Hiruzen and started explaining. "Don't worry, Hokage-sama. This is the clan's secret Jutsu that I've been talking about. The one on the left is Palkia and the other one is Dialga. Both of them are pokemon manifestations of the Dragon God of Space and Time respectively."

Hiruzen had a grave expression on his face. "How can this help us solve our problem?"

"This is the initial phase of the plan to normalize the berserk pokemon, Hokage-sama. They are about to cast their signature attack against each other - 'Spacial Rend' and 'Time of Roar'. This will result in a small portal that will take me to the location where the barrier is situated."

Hiruzen nodded and instructed the ninjas to spread out and watch out for any incoming attacks from the berserk pokemon. "Then please be safe, Okami-kun."

Okami signaled the two pokemon to start the plan. At once, Palkia roared loudly as a violet beam of light zoomed out from its mouth while Dialga shrieked in response and countered the light beam with dazzling blue rays emerging from his c.h.e.s.t. There was a loud blast that reverberated across Konoha, which was even heard by the people who were living at the edge of the village.

Even though its power was very strong, Hiruzen and the others were all safe and sound due to the barriers that covered them. The houses that were located nearby were protected by the shielding powers as well.

After the great collision, a huge and white orb appeared where the clash had happened. It kept on pulsing like a heart, contracting and expanding intermittently.

Okami smiled when he saw the portal. "Look, everyone. This is the portal that will lead me up to the sky. Remember, when I enter this, berserk pokemon will return to normal. Can you promise me that you will not kill the pokemon?"

Hiruzen was in deep thoughts for a few minutes before he finally asked, "Are you sure that they will not hurt people?"

Okami shook his head. "Them becoming normal do not mean that they will become tamed instantly as well. Remember, they have their temperaments and they must not be treated harshly or they will retaliate in return."

"Okay. I will try to fulfll what I've told you."

"Please do uphold your promises, Hokage-sama. If I found out that you have failed to do so when I return, I will be very sad about it." He gave all of them a glance and stopped when he saw Baki and Tomiro. "Goodbye, for now."

Okami turned around and walked towards the portal. As soon as he reached the entrance, he was suddenly engulfed by the huge orb and they disappeared.

They stood there for a while and no one made a move after Okami was gone.

The first one to speak was Baki. "Let's go back, Tomiro. We still have to prepare the Pokemon Center for tomorrow's work."

"Okay," Tomiro weakly answered as he wiped the tears that were formed in his eyes.

Both of them went inside the Pokemon Center and told the people inside that everything was finally okay and they could go home safely.

Hiruzen noticed that the suffocating bloodl.u.s.t disappeared. "Indeed, the dangerous aura that the berserk pokemon emitted were gone."

Kakashi walked to his side and asked, "Does it mean that there are no berserk pokemon from now on?"

Hiruzen nodded and turned around to face the ninjas that accompanied him. "Everyone, spread out by teams and verify if the attacks have stopped. When you see the situation is exactly like what Okami claimed, then try to calm everyone and explain that everything is good and there will be no more assaults. Remember, do not harm the pokemon and just let them go away on their own."

"What about the casualties, Hokage-sama? How should we explain this to their families?" Shikaku asked.

Hiruzen frowned. "Better handle it the way we handle these kinds of situation. Remember, do not fail to tell them that Okami was the reason why these attacks stopped. We must not fail the boy's expectations. It's the least we could do to pay for his sacrifice."

"Then how should we answer them when they start asking the real reason why these attacks happened?" Kakashi further interrogated.

"Just tell them that it is under investigation for now."

Everyone nodded and dispersed at the same time.

Hiruzen lifted up his gaze to the sky. "I'll be waiting for your great return, Okami Okaya of the Ketchum clan."

=================================

Okami exited through the portal and realized that he was back inside the familiar white mists. "Oh, so this is the place I will be staying at until the Vile One's powers will be gone. I hope they can fix it as the soonest possible time."
