The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

Chapter 51 - Return (1)

A portal formed at the center area of the Pokemon Shop and all of them saw a figure emerging out of it.

Tomiro's eyes reddened as he rushed towards the boy and ruffled his hair. "OKAMI!"

Baki laughed boisterously as he approached the duo. "Welcome back, young Boss!"

"Hah! Hahaha! Stop it!" Okami could not stop laughing. After a few minutes, they stopped torturing the boy and let him off.

"How are you, Okami? We've missed you!" Tomiro asked as he lowered the boy to the ground.

Baki excused himself and went to the kitchen area and returned with a cup on his hand. "Here, drink this. Your favorite orange juice."

Okami smiled widely as he accepted the cup from Baki. "The barrier's been repaired but there are still traces of the malevolent power that affected the pokemon's nature. Even then, these pokemon will not become berserk anymore."

"That's good to hear." Tomiro grabbed a chair and sat down. "Are you going to report to the Hokage's office right away?"

Okami shook his head. "There are still many things that I have to do before I intend to meet him. Anyway, how's both of your training?"

Tomiro and Baki reported everything that happened within the five months when he disappeared.

Okami clapped his hands. "You did a very good job! Did someone mess up with you or tried something bad against you?"

"At first, but old Baki just teleported them outside the village randomly when he found several aggressive ninjas inside the shop," Tomiro answered. "Well, if someone wants to attack us then let them come. I am pretty sure that they won't like my Comet Punch."

"Hah! Well, we will be closing the shop today. Please close the gate and put a sign so that they will know that we are closing this afternoon," Okami instructed as he asked a piece of paper and a pen from Baki. He started writing once he received them and gave it to Baki once again after he was done. "Please inform Toki-san so he can prepare the foods. Let's just have a simple party."

"Right away, boss," Tomiro answered as he left to comply with his request. Even Baki started immediately and went outside the shop.

The pokemon surrounded him when the two grown men left the shop. They were simply excited because their partner finally returned. Okami petted each one of them and led them outside to play.

Once Okami was alone, he summoned the Pokemon App for the first time to see the changes that happened after five months.

Several rewards are delayed because of the update. As part of Arceus' apology, he added one pokemon available for redemption - Growlithe (100 PP)

Your number of duplication chance is increased by one.

The current number of duplication chance per week: 3

Congratulations on winning a battle against Sasuke Uchiha.

You've earned 100 DP.

**

Rattata has earned enough experience to evolve.

Would you like to evolve Rattata to Raticate?

Okami's doubts were answered when he saw that the reason he never received any rewards after reaching 20 pokemon and winning against Sasuke back then was because of the Vile One's interference.

Even then, he was still happy to get such benefits. After all, he believed in the saying 'it's better late than never', and he needed all the help he could get.

The first thing that he did was redeem his 'Gift of Apology' and he felt the familiar sensation occurring inside his body. When the feeling ended, a puppy pokemon with orange fur and black stripes along its back and legs appeared before him. He checked the Pokemon App and looked at the Pokedex entry.

**************************************

Pokedex Entry:

Growlithe (Male)

Level: 1

Type: Fire

Skill: Bite, Roar

Ability:

Justified - raises the ability-bearer's Attack by one stage when hit by a damaging Dark-type move.

Requirement for Evolution:

Fire Stone (Arcanine)

***************************************

Okami was very glad that Growlithe possessed the 'Justified' Ability because Growlithe was the only ones that could possibly get it in this generation. With this, his arsenal of abilities expanded and he now had the means to easily counter Dark-typings. The more varied his abilities were, the easier his life would be in the future.

Growlithe ran towards Okami and wagged his fluffy tail.

Okami pinched his cheeks. "So adorable! Go and join the rest of the pokemon."

Growlithe nodded and ran as he barked loudly.

The next thing he did after redeeming Growlithe was the duplication of pokemon. Since the number of duplication chances increased, it would be better to do it immediately to avoid acc.u.mulating the things he needed to do.

Okami summoned all his pokemon and they all appeared beside him when he arrived at the Pokemon Duplicator machine. Growlithe looked confused as to why the environment suddenly changed and looked at the kid. Okami brought them inside the Duplicator and successfully created three pokemon of each kind, totaling to fifty-seven. He grinned when he saw that the pokemon's population were getting larger and larger.

Tomiro and Baki stared in amazement when they saw lots of pokemon going outside the shop.

"Boss, what will you do with that many pokemon?" Tomiro asked.

"I'm going to release them at the Pokemon Safari. We can charge the people who want to catch a Pokemon inside the Safari."

"Wow! That's another means of earning money. We could let them pay an entrance fee to let them enjoy the pokemon in the Safari and catch them if they had the resources. Of course, the time must be limited as well," Baki suggested.

Okami wondered if Baki was a transmigrator from the Pokemon world and was the actual cashier of the Pokemon Safari. "That's a good idea. Can you propose a business plan for it, old Baki?"

Baki nodded. "No problem. When do you need it?"

"As soon as you are done with it, we can then formally open the Safari."

Baki gave a thumbs-up. "Consider it done, Boss. I can do it today."

"I believe in you." Okami then proceeded to duplicate Diglett first via Pokemon App and released the copies. He tried summoning Tentacool and the jellyfish pokemon appeared right at the ground. As soon as the jellyfish felt the sun, his skin shrunk like he was getting old. As soon as Okami noticed this, he immediately duplicated the pokemon and unsummoned Tentacool. The Pokemon App informed him that the duplicated Tentacool was back in the pond and released it through the Pokemon App.

He then led them to the entrance of the Pokemon Safari and released them all. Soon, the pokemon went inside the forest as they did their own thing since Okami was no longer in control of them.

The last thing he needed to do was evolve his Rattata. He summoned the rat pokemon and evolved him via the Pokemon App. Soon, it was covered in lights and his form had changed. It was now larger and its teeth were getting scarier as well. Its fur color even transformed into brown.

Pokedex Entry:

Raticate (Male)

Level: 20

Type: Normal

Skill: Quick Attack, Bite, Superfang, Crunch

Ability:

Run Away

Requirement for Evolution:

None; Breeding (Rattata)

Dynamaxing: Locked

***************************************

Okami instructed Raticate to join the other pokemon. When Raticate left, he took out a notebook inside his pocket and wrote 'Growlithe' in one of the pages that contained the list of pokemon he owned. He scanned the names and felt proud of his accomplishment. Butterfree, Vulpix, Pidgeotto, Raticate, Kadabra, Beedrill, Paras, Chansey, Jigglypuff, Venonat, Diglett, Machop, Eevee, Kangaskhan, Tentacool, Geodude, Zubat, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and the latest addition, Growlithe, which totaled 21 pokemon.

He then verified the total DP and PP he had after doing many activities.

**************************************

Congratulations for evolving Rattata to Raticate

You've earned 100 DP.

Total DP: 1,320

Total PP: 510

Okami was ecstatic about his current DP, considering he could use this to execute Dialga's time-related skills in times of emergency. Satisfied, he then went back inside the shop to take a rest. Only a few minutes had passed when Okami heard Naruto's loud voice.

"OKAMI!"

Okami realized that Naruto was rushing towards him. He recalled the first time when Naruto tackled him and immediately teleported behind him after absorbing Kadabra.

Naruto crashed on the ground. "Ouch!"

"Heh!" Okami approached him and extended his right hand. "How are you, Naruto?"

Naruto grabbed his hand and stood up. He bearhugged him for a long time. Finally, he released him and asked, "Where have you been, Okami? I've heard several rumors about you dying in a mission but I did not believe them. F.u.c.kers!"

Okami laughed. "I'm here, alive and well. How come you were able to get inside?"

"Well, I arrived at the time when Tomiro-san was about to close the gate," Naruto said as he patted the dust off his clothes. "I've convinced him to let me enter. Anyway, Okami! I've got something to show you!"

Okami tilted his head. "What do you want to show me that makes you excited like that?"

Naruto touched his forehead protector and puffed his c.h.e.s.t. "I caught a pokemon on my own."

"Without the help of your pokemon?" Okami asked.

Naruto scratched his head. "Heh! Kyuubi does not count because he and I are one. Anyway, Naru's badly hurt."

"Then, old Baki is the man you're looking for." Okami led Naruto to the healing station and told Baki about Naruto's request. "You can do all the things I've listed after you attend to my best friend here."

Baki smiled and pointed at the device stationed at the countertop. "Please place the Pokeball on the PokeSlot."

Naruto followed Baki's instruction. Baki then tinkered with the panels just below the countertop and the screen at the wall lit up. Pidgey's status was displayed on the screen and attribute values were shown as well.

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Pidgey (Male)

Flying, Normal

Health: 40

Attack: 45

Defense: 40

Special Attack: 35

Special Defense: 35

Speed: 56 (Highest)

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Naruto stared at the numbers with a black face. "There are lots of numbers! What does that even mean?!"

Okami chuckled. "It means that Pidgey is a male pokemon with Flying and Normal typing. It is a speedy pokemon with strong taijutsu and weak ninjutsu and genjutsu. When in 'Absorb' mode, Pidgey increases your speed as well."

Naruto nodded as if he understood them all. "I see. That's very good."

"Just remember that when you want to be quicker, then absorb Pidgey."

"Oh, I get it. Hah! That duck-head always brag about his speed. Wait till he sees me in 'Pidgey' mode. Hah!"

"I've got something to do, first. Wait here, okay?" Okami told Naruto as he disappeared.

Baki grinned and took out the Pokeball and placed it inside the Healing machine behind him. He then pressed the 'Start' button and a weak hum was produced. After a minute, the Healing Machine opened by itself. He took out the Pokeball and gave it to Naruto. "Your pokemon is as good as new."

Naruto received the Pokeball and summoned Pidgey. At once, there was a beam of light zooming out of the Pokeball, which then turned into the flying bird.

"Chirp!" Naru chirped as he saw Naruto and perched on his head. "Chirp!"

Naruto laughed boisterously when he saw what Naru did. "Better make sure to kick that duck-head's a.s.s, Naru!"

"Who are you going to kick a.s.s again?"

Naruto turned around and saw Sasuke and Sakura entering the shop. "You're both late!"

Sasuke snorted. "As long as we're earlier than Kakashi-sensei, then it's good."

"That was cool, Sasuke!" Sakura praised him.

"Better think again, Sakura." Naruto showed them his newly caught pokemon and puffed his c.h.e.s.t. "See this? I've caught my second pokemon. A true, wild pokemon!"

Sakura smiled when she saw the cute pokemon. "Can I hug it, Naruto?"

Naruto grinned. "Sure. Go ahead, Naru. Let him hug you."

Pidgey chirped and flew towards Sakura to let her hug him. Soon, the bird pokemon was now on Sakura's c.h.e.s.t.

'So feathery...so cute!" Sakura looked at Baki. "Baki-ojisan, can I become a Pokemon trainer as well?"

Baki nodded. "But I'm not the one in charge with that."

Sakura smiled. "I know. It's Tomiro-san, right? I want to have one on my own. I want this bird as well."

"Don't be hasty in deciding, Sakura-chan. There are lots of new pokemon to choose from. Wait till you see them all and ask if you want to know their particular abilities and skills," Baki reminded her.

"I'll follow your advice."

"Anyway, did Tomiro let you enter as well?"

Sakura nodded. "He said the shop's closed for today but he told us to get inside because Naruto is here."
