The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

Okami observed what was happening inside the Pokemon Safari through the powers given to him by Palkia - the ability to observe everything that was happening inside his territory via Palkia's Authority. He discovered that there were two ways of using this skill.

The first one was to see the entire area the way one used the Google Map. He could choose to zoom out or zoom in but the details were blurry if he decided to enhance it further.

The second one was by camera method, wherein he chooses a target and observes all the events just like how one watches a movie.

This time, he used the camera method and chose Naruto as his first target. The Google Map mode disappeared and the images inside his mind changed into that of Naruto who was sitting on the ground.

"Hmm, it seems that he is currently in Area 2. What is he doing right now?"

Okami noticed a Diglett popping out from the ground. "Will he catch this pokemon?"

When he saw Naruto throwing the Pokeball without hesitation, he smiled. He did not tell them about the special situation they were enjoying right now. Since the Pokemon App considered them as the first visitors, they were rewarded with a 'Catch-all-you-can' promo, wherein they could catch pokemon with no resistance for the day as long as they were inside the Pokemon Safari.

True enough, Diglett was caught and became Naruto's third pokemon. Since he had no Pokeball left, he spent his time sight-seeing in Area 2.

Okami was genuinely happy for his friend. Diglett was a very good addition to his team considering the skill set that the pokemon could learn. Using the Dig skill would add varieties to his fighting style. Even the great Earthquake skill could be a terrible thing to encounter, especially when it was on its Master grading.

He then shifted his next target to Sakura, who was also currently in Area 2. Realizing that she was headed to the pond at the middle area, he suspected that she would encounter the most common and annoying pokemon in the games, especially in Pokemon Red, Green and Yellow Version - the notorious Tentacool.

True enough, Sakura did meet one of them when she tried washing her hands. As expected, the sight of the jellyfish pokemon scared the hell out of her. The scene went very familiar when her Pokeball fell on the ground and the Tentacool reached out on its knob. The Pokeball was activated and a beam of light captured the pokemon.

Okami remembered the scene in the Anime where Misty caught Psyduck accidentally, just like how Tentacool was caught by Sakura.

Thinking of the Tentacool's ability, he knew that the jellyfish pokemon could be quite scary, considering that it could mind-control a pokemon just like how Tentacool did with Meowth. He did not know if Tentacool was a good pokemon for her as a starter but he firmly believed that every pokemon had the potential to become very strong. And Tentacruel was not a laughing matter, which could create great devastation via Surf and Hydro Pump.

Okami wondered why he could not see Sakura and Naruto in the same area when he activated the google map mode. He summoned the Pokemon App and verified the truth behind it.

Pokemon Safari

Everyone can see each other for the first ten minutes when they enter the area. After that, everyone else will become invisible to each other. When one proceeds to the next area alone, he could not see the person he is together with previously unless he returns to the previous area.

"I see. That is why I could not see them interacting with each other as soon as they left Area 1."

Okami changed the target to Sasuke and found out that he was in Area 3. He smiled when he noticed that Venonat was following him all the way. Nothing unconventional had happened while he was interacting with the pokemon that he encountered in that particular area.

Okami thought that Sasuke would proceed to Area 4 when he noticed that he was headed to the Waiting Shed. Soon, the situation went awry and the two pokemon were currently facing each other with hostility. Geodude was using Sand-Attack to blind the opponent but Venonat was triggered to the extent that his body glowed. He never expected that Venonat would evolve into a Venomoth.

Okami wondered why the pokemon evolved in a manner which was inconsistent with the system he was in right now. He verified through the Pokemon App and learned that the pokemon inside the Pokemon Safari was not bound to such rules like levels and experience points. They could evolve in a way like some pokemon did in the Anime.

His interest was piqued and decided to watch the whole scene. But the show did not last long because Sasuke suddenly threw the Pokeballs at both of them. He was the first person to catch two pokemon at the same time while not being a Pokemon Trainer.

Considering Sasuke's ability in the future, these pokemon would add skills that would further his fighting capability, both in the offense, defense and speed.

But he still believed that Sasuke should take Abra as his starter simply because Alakazam was one heck of a monster pokemon and Teleport Jutsu was great.

The last person he spied on was Kakashi, whom he found out to be in Area 4. As expected of the Jounin, the first thing he did was to scout the entire area by going up the highest place he could reach. After he was done, he saw Kakashi going towards the left area where a Growlithe was sleeping.

Okami remembered that this pokemon was not yet available in the wild. If Kakashi was able to catch this pokemon, then he would be the first person that could own a Growlithe in the Naruto world. Too bad, Kakashi was not yet a Pokemon Trainer.

Growlithe woke up and approached Kakashi who was currently stooping down. Okami remembered that Kakashi had a lot of ninkens as his summons. It would be pretty interesting for a Growlithe to interact with the youngest Pakkun and the rest of the dogs.

Kakashi threw the Pokeball without hesitation and the catch was successfully done.

Okami waited for the one-hour time limit to pass by. He tinkered with the Pokemon App and realized that there several prompts inside his inbox.

Okami converted all the repeated pokemon to PP, earning him another 550 Pokemon Points. He did not hesitate to redeem all the pokemon that were on the list and 750 PP were deducted from his total PP. As the familiar sensation filled him up every time he owned a new pokemon, he knew that his rewards this time was huge. When the light dissipated, nine new pokemon appeared before him.

Snorlax was the first one he noticed due to his big body size, who was currently sleeping on the ground. Mr. Mime was leaning against Snorlax body as if he was in deep thoughts. Drowzee looked around and stood behind Mr. Mime.

On the other side, Mankey was scratching his head, jumping once in a while. Spearow was busy pecking at something on the ground while the female Nidoran was eating some seeds.

Ekans and Ditto were in between these two groups while Ponyta galloped around them as her neighs reverberated across the area.

Since he was very familiar with the skill sets of these pokemon, the thing that he wanted to find out was their abilities.

Immunity - Prevents the Pokemon from getting poisoned.

Insomnia - Prevents the Pokemon from falling asleep.

Keen Eye - prevents the Pokémon from losing accuracy, for example from moves like Sand-Attack.

Intimidate - lower's the Attack of all opponents by one stage when the ability-bearer switches in (including the start of a battle).

Imposter - It transforms itself into the Pokémon it is facing.

Ability:

Flame Body - If a Pokémon with Flame Body is hit by a move that makes contact, there is a 30% chance the attacker will become burned.

Okami was elated when he saw the abilities of the new pokemon, particularly the ones that gave him immunity. He hoped that he could contact with the Pokemon Intelligence Division and study the potency of these abilities. And Ditto's skill was fun to mess with.

Okami used mass teleport on the pokemon except for Snorlax and they altogether appeared inside the shop. He proceeded to duplicate the pokemon and reappeared right back at the entrance of the Pokemon Safari after he was done using the Pokemon Duplicator machine. This time, he duplicated Snorlax via the Pokemon App and another three Snorlax materialized beside the original one.

When he tried releasing them, the Pokemon App gave him an error prompt, saying that he could not release them into the Pokemon Safari when someone was using its services. He needed to wait for an hour before he could do so.

He checked if there were still any other prompts that he had missed. Indeed, there was a new message inside his inbox.

Okami was in high spirit, considering that the Altered Vulpix needed 10,000 PP to be redeemed and he was four-fifth away from fulfilling the requirements.

If it was not necessary, he was not going to squander his PP and intended to save it to get an amazing summon that could accompany him to the next world. Nevertheless, he still had to redeem common and rare pokemon gradings now and then to unlock several features and achieve the milestones as well.

He petted the pokemon as he waited for Team 7 to finish their Pokemon Safari adventure. When the timer ended, four swiveling lights formed just before the Pokemon Safari's entrance. After a few seconds, Team 7 appeared.

Naruto looked around and asked, "Huh?! Our time's over?"

Kakashi looked around and saw the new pokemon that were stationed just behind Okami. "They're new?"

Okami nodded. "These pokemon can only be found inside the Pokemon Safari for now."

Sasuke looked at the fiery Ponytas who were galloping nonstop. "How come I have not seen them while I'm inside the Safari?"

"That's called bad luck," Okami answered.

"Ugh! Talking about bad luck! Can't you believe that I caught a jellyfish accidentally?!" Sakura w.h.i.n.ed as she folded her arms on her c.h.e.s.t.

Okami was about to comment about Tentacool when he noticed Kakashi looking up the sky. He followed his gaze and saw the familiar bird soaring up high.

Kakashi frowned. "Well, I've got to go. Got to do something important."

At once, Kakashi disappeared as he flickered away.
