The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

Fifteen minutes passed like a blink of an eye. Soon, the three Genins were standing two meters apart from each other, all facing towards Kakashi.

Taeho and Anita signaled Okami that they were good to go.

Okami smiled, his eyes fixated on Kakashi while speaking to Deira, "We are ready, Deira-sensei. We're just waiting for your go signal."

"That's the spirit!" Deira observed that they were calm enough to fight against a Jonin. "On my signal...three...two...one...fight!"

Taeho dashed to the eastmost part of the room and spread out a scroll on the floor when he reached his target location. A 5-feet black chain appeared before him and equipped it immediately as he absorbed Metapod at the same time.

On the other hand, Anita went in the opposite direction while summoning her Zubat. She instructed the bat pokemon what to do and positioned themselves for any incoming assaults.

Meanwhile, Okami did a hand seal and several copies materialized around him. Half of his copies ran to each of his teammates respectively.

The number of copies that could absorb Pokemon simultaneously was only limited to five. Any more than that and the Jutsu would fail. He sent Okami-Pidgeotto, Okami-Jigglypuff, and Okami-Drowzee to protect Anita while commanding Okami-Mr. Mime and Okami-Chansey to guard Taeho.

At the same time, he summoned Vulpix and Beedrill to further Anita's defense while instructing Raticate and Mankey to shield Taeho from any sneak attacks.

When he saw that the formation was settled, he absorbed Ditto for its 'Transform' skill and Spearow for his 'Mirror Move' at the same time. He needed to fight Kakashi with something that he was famously known - copying the enemy's Jutsu.

Okami knew that Kakashi took the spar seriously because he was not reading the Icha Icha series, unlike what he did with Team 7. After doing a hand seal, he said, "Pokemon Jutsu: Transform."

Okami became Kakashi's exact copy, from his physical attributes down to his chakra affinity. He wondered if he had dotted eyes right now but there was no time to look for a mirror but when he tried activating the Sharingan, he found out that he could not do so. "Maybe I needed the higher Transform grade to do it?"

Kakashi frowned when he saw Okami transforming into him. He suspected that there was a reason underlying his actions. Merely copying him had no use unless he could also copy his skills as well. And he guessed that it was the latter. He eyed on his left and flickered to Anita's direction. He was about to cast Genjutsu against her when Okami-Pidgeotto performed the 'Gust' skill, breathing winds gushing out of his mouth. It was enough to deflect his actions.

He dodged to the right when he realized that a peculiar ray was released by Zubat, which zoomed towards him. It was the first time he saw this and he did not want to be hit by an unknown Jutsu and evaded it skillfully, somersaulting to the right while instantly destroying five of Okami's copies. This happened in mere seconds.

Kakashi wanted to eliminate the copies as fast as he could or this battle would last longer. When he attempted to execute another Taijutsu, Vulpix and Zubat both attacked with Confuse Ray, forcing him to flicker away.

But his course of action was not a total failure when one of his punches hit Okami-Pidgeotto. Kakashi was surprised when the clone was not destroyed, instead, his body glowed. He did not know that Jigglypuff's Friend Guard ability was active, which reduced the damages done to Okami's allies. This ability applied only to humans, pokemon, and copies with absorbed pokemon.

Kakashi was oblivious to this and was distracted by another clone reinforcement which came from Okami's direction. He knew that the kid executed the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu again to keep him busy. After successfully defeating another five of Okami's clones, he was about to knock Anita down with a Genjutsu when he saw another blast of winds coming out from Okami-Pidgeotto.

Clone reinforcements kept adding up as soon as he destroyed another set of clones. Kakashi sneered as he eyed Okami, "Such a lazy way of attack. But why is he not attacking me personally?"

Kakashi did a hand seal, producing two shadow clones fused with lightning. The first clone helped him destroy the surrounding clones while the second one rushed to the kid's reinforcements.

He sideglanced where Taeho was and became perplexed. Taeho was producing some silk on his hands and hit the floors and walls as he moved together with Okami's clones.

"What is he doing?" Kakashi hit another clone and was about to capture Anita when he was starting to feel drowsy. The chakra flow inside his body was not normal and suspected that he was under Genjutsu. Immediately, he countered it and said, "Kai!"

At once, the drowsy feeling was gone but he realized that he was not yet out of danger when he started seeing strange sightings. He stayed calm and used the same method to escape the technique.

Anita felt tired because she used up a lot of chakras to perform Genjutsu. She was about to give up after her eleventh attempt when she realized that Kakashi was affected by Drowzee-Okami's Pokemon Jutsu, who was using Hypnosis against him. When she saw that he easily recovered from the attack, she absorbed Zubat and followed it up with 'Supersonic'. Fortune was with her this time because the skill succeeded in putting Kakashi under 'Confused' status. She was about to execute 'Absorb' skill to replenish her strength when she noticed that Kakashi recovered. Seeing him escaping made her all the more agitated.

Kakashi smiled and appreciated the Genin's attempt in defeating him. When he finished testing Anita, he proceeded to pester Taeho who was moving alongside Okami's clones.

He flickered behind Taeho and was about to knock him out when he was stopped by an invisible barrier just behind the kid's back. He heard sounds like that of breaking glasses and realized that the kid was not unprotected.

Taeho grinned and tried catching Kakashi with his chain. It moved in the air like a snake and twirled around Kakashi's body. He felt ecstatic when the attack was successful, only to become frustrated when he saw Kakashi transforming into a chair. "Shit! Kawarimi!"

Deira recognized the chair and grumbled, "Why did he use my chair as his substitute?"

"Why is he not doing anything?" Kakashi muttered to himself, his half attention was always on Okami's whereabouts. He destroyed another set of Okami's clones and punched his way towards Taeho when he noticed that he stepped on something sticky. When he dodged Okami's clones attack, he noticed that his speed was slower than usual. He realized something and muttered, "So that is the reason for the silk on the floor."

"Too late!" Taeho passionately shouted while attacking him with a chain, which was wiggling like a snake. It lurched towards Kakashi and the attack connected, only to find him transforming into a chair again. "F.u.c.k! Another Kawarimi!"

Deira noticed that it was the same chair Kakashi used to escape Taeho's chains. He stood up and shouted, "Stop using my chair! It's the only one I have here!"

Kakashi chuckled. "Then lend me another one."

"STOP! The spar ends here!" Deira exclaimed when he realized that Kakashi would not stop using his chair as his substitute. "Everyone, take a rest to recover your strength. Come to me after thirty minutes."

Deira mumbled grumpily while heading towards the chair. He inspected it and felt glad that it was not destroyed.

Kakashi scratched his head when he saw Deira's actions. He decided to ignore him and went beside the Genins who were gathered at the center, and asked, "Is everyone alright?"

Anita pouted. "How did you escape my Pokemon Jutsu?"

Kakashi paused for a bit before replying with a question, "What type of Jutsu you used against me a while ago?"

Anita told him what happened. "I thought that you were a goner at that time. What did you do, Kakashi-san? Please tell me."

Kakashi smiled. "To be honest, I've studied countering these types of Jutsu together with Shikaku and Inoichi after I first experienced it from Okami's technique. Remember the first time you cast it on me five months ago, Okami-kun?"

Okami recalled that particular event and gave a slight nod. "Yes, Kakashi-sensei. Please tell us what you did. I'm kind of curious."

"Well, I can still recall what you told me back then. Once I realized that the Pokemon Intelligence Division was formed, I visited, only to find out that it was Shikaku leading the place. After several visits, I discovered that his pokemon have similar skills with yours, leading me to ask for his assistance. I told him what happened and the rest is history." Kakashi took out his perverted book and continued, "As for the technique, it's the same with how you escape from a Genjutsu."

Okami took note of what Kakashi said and decided in his heart to ask Shikaku and learn their discoveries.

Kakashi was about to leave when he remembered Okami's actions while sparring against him. "Why were you just standing still while the fight is ongoing?"

Okami instructed Chansey to heal his teammates using Softboiled. "I was analyzing a new Jutsu, Kakashi-sensei."

"Ah, that one where you copied me. Is it safe to assume that it's more than copying my looks, right?"

Okami laughed. "Well, the truth is I was studying the number of Jutsus you knew while using Transform. There were many of them on the list."

"List?" Kakashi could not help but put down his book and stared at Okami. "What do you mean?"

Okami pointed his head. "While I'm using the Transform Pokemon Jutsu, the lists of all Jutsu that the target knows is listed inside my mind, in the form of a list. Some of them are greyed out indicating that I can't use it while the others are not, which means that I can execute it."

Kakashi was flabbergasted when he found out that Okami was endangering his title as the copycat ninja. "What kind of pokemon did you use this time?"

Okami summoned Ditto before them.

At once, Ditto transformed into the first person it saw - Taeho Kushiki.

"This is Ditto, a genderless pokemon who loves to transform into the first pokemon or ninja it sees," Okami explained and instructed Ditto to return to its normal look. The copied Taeho shrunk and became a small figure with a gelatinous body.

Kakashi stooped down and inspected the pokemon up close. "This is one of the new ones, right?"

Okami nodded. "They can only be found inside the Pokemon Safari for now. But it would be a problem to find one because they could transform into any pokemon. When you are trying to catch one, always check their eyes and you will know that it's a Ditto."

"Ah, the dotted eyes...how much is the Pokemon Safari's entrance ticket?"

"5,000 Ryo if you're not a Pokemon Trainer yet. If you are, then the price is 1,000 Ryo."

Kakashi sighed. "Well, I want to catch a Ditto and become a Pokemon trainer, Okami-kun. I've already heard about the new rules so I know what to do."

"But what about your previous catch?"

Kakashi took out a Pokeball from his pocket. "I've caught a puppy. I wanted to have this pokemon as my starter but when I saw Ditto, I know that this was my fated starter. Anyway, should I give this to you?"

Okami shook his head. "You may have that as your second pokemon, Kakashi-sensei. When will you want to become a Pokemon Trainer?"

Kakashi paused for a moment before saying, "How about tomorrow?"

"I'm available tomorrow."

Kakashi nodded. "See you then, Okami-kun.

Okami saw Kakashi leaving the spacious room.
