The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

Okami attempted to teleport behind the enemy but was dismayed when he could not do so. All of his pokemon were in a 'resting' state. As much as he wanted to find out the reason behind this, his hands were full enough with the creature who wanted to eat him for lunch.

He scrutinized the enemy and waited for an opportunity to strike for the kill. Like a predator watching his prey, he squatted on all-fours and readied himself for any possible attacks.

The tiger-like creature sensed that it was facing a very deadly foe but it could not allow any powerful entity to enter its territory without permission. Animal instinct was telling it to run away but the urge of killing the intruder was greater. Even then, it found it harder to move because of the unseen pressure from Bloodl.u.s.t.

Okami discerned that the creature was scared and restless. When he realized that it wanted to escape, he gathered his stamina on his mouth and breathed out waves of dark fire toward the animal.

The creature sprang to the nearby rock and immediately leaped at the target while swinging its claws downward.

Okami retaliated with an upward claw slash, stopping the enemy's assault in the air, and followed it up with another clawing attack at its exposed belly.

ROAR!

The creature shrieked in agony when it felt its stomach gashed open. It crashed heavily on the ground, its face wincing in pain. No matter what it did, the burning sensation did not go away and seeped its vitality slowly. Furious, it stood up and countered with a piercing roar before pouncing once again.

In a heartbeat, the creature was already before him with its fangs bared. His eyes became scarlet red as he faced the attack with a screech, forcing the enemy to stop in the air, and blasted another stream of black flame. This time, the skill connected and soon enough, the animal was squirming on the ground. He did not stop attacking the creature with a series of flame attacks while it was still helpless.

No matter how much the creature struggled, the black flame did not disappear and continued devouring its already charred body. It could not accept its untimely demise and wanted to tear Okami alive but reality judged it to be the loser of the fight. The last thing it thought of during its last moment was its cubs.

Okami approached his opponent and saw that it was not moving. The creature was almost unrecognizable because the body was burned all over. Even then, the flame did not dissipate and if left uncontained, it might destroy the forest. Luckily, the fire he emitted the first time did not hit anything.

He slowly extended his hands to the flame and realized that it did not hurt him at all. Curious, he touched it and observed that the expected burning sensation did not happen. He patted the dark fire thoroughly and this time, the flame died.

After the fight, he tried absorbing pokemon once again to verify his suspicion, only to fail again. He recalled what happened at the Marine Base when he first used the Special form. "Now, I remember. I teleported behind Robert before I activated my Zoan form."

Okami speculated that the Zoan form required an enormous amount of stamina, which was preventing him to absorb pokemon. If this was the case, then it might be possible for him to absorb pokemon while in Zoan form in the future as long as he increased his stamina.

For now, the only thing he could do was summon pokemon to fight alongside him since it did not require any stamina at all.

This time, he tried using Kage Bunshin no Jutsu and failed. It made sense that the technique would not succeed because his stamina would then be further divided evenly between him and the clones. This made him all the more convinced that all of these was directly related to his stamina. Satisfied, he continued searching for other preys within the forest.

The time passed by and Okami enjoyed his hunting game. There were many things that he discovered during his fights.

First, he could use all the moves that a Vulpix could. The only difference was the power, which was enhanced greatly by the mythical Kyubi.

Second, his defense and strength were increased to several notches when compared to his normal form. His strongest punch could create a blast of strong winds, which could be used to attack enemies that were far away.

Third, he had uber regeneration, instantly healing his wounds at the expense of his stamina. His strength increased along with his emotions.

Lastly, his every attack had a burning effect, whether he used his claws, mouth, or tail.

The only thing that he was not able to check was the Tailed Beast Ball. He looked for a suitable target and found a huge mountain at the end of the forest trail.

When he was ready, he gathered his stamina power on his mouth and blasted it toward the mountain. At once, he collapsed on the ground and his Zoan form was deactivated.

The scorching ball of stamina power zoomed forward as it destroyed everything that was blocking its way. It was not slowed down and continued on its way to the huge target. Finally, the collision happened and a loud explosive sound reverberated across the field.

Okami looked up and was in awe of its strength. Half of the mountain area was disintegrated. When he realized that there could be collateral damages as a result of his attack, he felt guilty and sighed. "Sorry for the animals and humans living inside the mountain."

He knew that it was a reckless move but he did not expect to destroy half the mountain. He decided to make this move as his last resort when he faced any insurmountable opponents. After all, he did not want to become a mass murderer without any justifiable reason to do so.

He tried activating his Zoan form once again but was dismayed when he found out that his speculation was true. His stamina could not support this skill anymore. He summoned Charizard, Kangaskhan, Pidgeot, Kadabra, Mr. Mime, and Venusaur to protect himself from any animal attacks and lied on Snorlax's belly to rest.

Okami noticed that the surrounding was dark already when he woke up. The first thing he did was to look at his XTransceiver to check the time. "Shit, I fell asleep. it's almost 8 PM."

He took off from Snorlax's stomach and unsummoned his pokemon. At once, he teleported back to his room, took a bath, and changed his clothes. When he was done, he immediately went outside his room and visited the dining area.

Makino's face was visibly fl.u.s.tered when she saw Okami. "Where were you? You've been missing for three days."

Three days? Okami did not expect the side-effect after performing a Tailed Beast ball. Even then, he did not tell the truth and simply made an excuse. "I was busy wandering on an island."

Makino shrugged her shoulders. "Well, you looked like a hungry lion. Same order?"

Okami nodded his head. "Quadruple the servings. I am famished right now."

She raised her brows in response, wondering what Okami was doing that could turn him into a devouring machine. Nevertheless, she did not ask and went directly to the kitchen to relay his orders.

After a few minutes, Mackie peeked outside the door and asked, "Are you related to Luffy? Both of you eat the same way."

Okami flipped his middle finger and ignored him. He summoned the Pokemon App to check his harvest.

There were many things that he had to consider if he wanted to make the most of his abilities. The problem was he had no idea on how to unlock his other special forms and the Pokemon App was not giving him any hint at all. This made him all the more excited for the future and he could not wait to start training again. But he knew that he had to balance everything and should perform his duties as a Pokemon Emissary.

Soon, the first batch arrived and he started eating dinner. He could feel his every cell screaming in happiness when his stamina was being restored. He ignored the looks that Makino was giving him and continued gobbling up his food, only to find out that the plates were already empty.

Makino coughed lightly and offered a cup of water. "Here. I don't want you to choke to your death."

Okami gave her a thumbs-up sign and drank it in one gulp. "Aah! That was good. Where are the other servings?"

"Hey, they are still cooking the other slabs of meat," Makino refuted while her hands akimbo, "Nobody told you to finish your food like you're just taking a deep breath."

"Heh! Anyway, were you able to experiment with your Munchlax's ability?"

Makino's eyes lit up. "I can transform into a Munchlax."

"Can you show it to me?"

"Sure."

Okami saw her body covered with light for a few seconds before it disappeared, revealing her transformed body.

She became bulkier and stouter, her skin covered with blue fur. Her ears were now atop her head like it was some kind of a devil's horn. In short, she became a prettier and bigger version of Munchlax. She was still recognizable despite the changes that happened to her body.

"What can you do in this form?"

"Munchie informed me that this is my Zoan form and I can execute some of my starter pokemon's moves. Too bad I was not able to try the moves that he enumerated to me. I still have to earn money, you know."

"Since you are a Zoan, did you try going to the sea to find out if you are weak on it?"

Makino shook her head. "I'll do it when I have time."

Okami had an enlightenment and asked, "What about working under me, Makino?"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm searching for crew members to man my ship. I want to build a floating Pokemon Center that will travel the Grand Line and the New World, spreading pokemon influence on every island."

"What will you call it?"

"SS Anne and Vermilion ship. I'm planning to have two sh.i.p.s."

Makino took a seat and cupped her chin. "That's a grandiose dream. But I am pretty weak. Are you sure that you want me as one of your crew members?"

Okami nodded. "Yes. You can be the Pokemon Center receptionist. If you'll accept the job, I will make sure that you will be equipped with everything you need so you can fight against the threat of the pirates and the World Government."

Makino narrowed her eyes and stood up. "I can't leave the Partys Bar. If you want to let me join you, then buy this bar."

"How much does it cost?" Okami asked without hesitation.

Makino stopped what she was doing and eyed him seriously. "Are you sure? You can have this bar if you have half a million Beli."

"A reasonable price. I can buy it right now if you want to."

"You're not kidding, right?" Makino facepalmed when she remembered that he just got a reward in apprehending Higuma yesterday. "I guess you have the money to do it. Then let's proceed with the transaction."

"Wait a minute." Okami teleported right back to his room and counted 500,000 Beli before reappearing at the dining area. He then set the bag on the countertop, saying, "Here's the money. So, this bar is mine from now on."

Makino took the bag and peeked inside, her expression became brighter because of the huge amount of money before her. "Sure. I'll give you the property title tomorrow. With this, I can pay what my family owed to that f.u.c.k.i.n.g nobles."

"Don't worry. Once you join my crew, anyone who tries to harm you will be my enemies. So, will you accept my proposal?"

"Yes."

Okami summoned his Pokemon App and assigned her to become the Pokemon Center Receptionist.
