The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

Chapter 87 - Development

Soon, SS Anne became well-known to the public because of its unique design and its terrible reputation. Even though they intended to become a merchant ship, their fame began to spread in the East Blue as the most dangerous group of pirate hunters. There were only a few pirates that could fight against them in this area. Even the ones with the 25 million Beli bounty were rare, and one of them was casually crushed to death by Makino's deadly nuking attack.

Makino liked what she did and continued destroying the pirate sh.i.p.s via 'aerial bombing'. Soon, people began to call her the 'Bomb Queen' because of her unconventional tactics that gave nightmares to a lot of pirates.

She increased her number of pokemon to six, all of them being normal-types. The only thing that was common among them was their massive weights, purely intended for crushing sh.i.p.s via her weird strategy. The Pidgeot, Snorlax, Kangaskhan tandem was expanded with three more Snorlaxes to complete her demolition team.

Glen was even more feared by the pirates and marines alike because of his unusual brutality whenever he fought against his enemies. At the end of the battle, no dead bodies could be seen in the battle area because they were all devoured by Gyarados. With this, he cemented his name as the 'Terror Dragon'.

Within the past twelve months, he continued rearing Magikarps as part of his team. Some of them evolved and his team became all the more ferocious. Currently, he had three Gyarados on his arsenal and he became notorious throughout East Blue.

Troy, on the other hand, was labeled as the 'Mythical Ao' due to his turtle-like transformation. Even though he was not famous like Makino and Glen, the pirates who had escaped from his clutches would say that he was the scariest because of his indifferent temperament.

Unlike the rest of them, his team was the most balanced. He had no glaring weakness and every area was meticulously considered, indicating his profound intelligence. Aerodactyl was the one responsible for flying while Dugtrio was his ground-type pokemon. As for land travel, he used Rapidash. He had Ditto and Blastoise to execute his triangular Blastoise formation.

Mackie's reputation as the 'Beli Lover' became all the more notorious when he released all his captives as long as they ransomed themselves with Beli. As for the people who had chosen to resist and persist, they end up being torn apart due to his wing attacks, drill pecks, and sharp talons.

His team comprised of flying pokemon and he was the best when it comes to aerial assaults. Pidgeot, Aerodactyl, Noctowl, Fearow, and Farfetch'd were together with him every time he scouted his next prey. When he was tired, he rode on Dodrio to traversed the wide land.

Michael did the opposite and became obsessed with training. For the past year, all he did was practice his swordsmanship fused with his Scyther transformation. He even awakened his Observation Haki as he subjected himself to dangerous monster subjugations and self-torture.

He had an unusual love for bug pokemon and unsurprisingly, all of his pokemon were bug typings. For now, he had Beedrill, Venomoth, Butterfree, Pinsir, Heracross, and another Scyther.

Unlike the rest of them, Bunny took the weirdest direction and became all the more obscured. He took his job as a scout and gathering intelligence seriously and traveled almost all the islands within East Blue. He became friendly with all the innkeepers and tavern owners because they were easily the best source of news. Among Okami's team, he had the most numbers of contacts, whether it be pirates, marines, or civilians.

As for his line-up, he was more focused on trickery, escaping, and mind control. With this, he had Kadabra, Mr. Mime, Hypno, Crobat, Haunter, and Clefairy to do the job.

Many interesting rumors about SS Anne spread among the pirates and marines. All of them pointed out to one thing - the leader behind the scary team was even more dangerous compared to the six. Even though they had not seen him in action, they considered him to be very powerful, considering he could subdue these types of strong people.

Okami just laughed it off every time he heard the absurd gossip. He ignored everything and continued strengthening his powers, increasing his Zoan form into three-tails. Almost of the islands infested with monsters had been visited by him.

As for his progress in his pokemon development, it was going well.

First, his partnership with Lieutenant Robert was going stronger, and he increased the supplies of Fire Stones and Water Stones to sell to the nobles. This made the lieutenant a lot happier and in return, had been his source of information to the happenings within the Marines.

Second, the Pokemon League plan with Wood Slap was going smoothly, even though it was moved at a later date because the Coliseum was still three-fourth finished. If there were no problems with the construction, then the tournament would be realized six months from now.

Lastly, his Trainer School was formally opened after he trained Seraph for several months. He did not want to be tied with this responsibility so he hired Seraph as the School Director. The first students that the Trainer School had were the villagers in the Foosha town. As a result, they became more adept in using Pokemon, thus, increasing the quality of Pokemon Battles within the old battle arena.

He was pleased to find out the requirements to unlock the Pokemon Gym were finally fulfilled. He still had to investigate the village to determine who among the villagers had the best qualification to become the first-ever Gym Leader, if there was even a qualified one that fitted the bill.

As for the pokemon themselves, their presence became more visible to all people, particularly the inhabitants of East Blue. They started thriving or visiting the towns, villages, and cities where humans are predominant. The most common ones that they encountered were the Pidgeys, Rattatas, and Spearows.

Magnemite, Grimer, and Koffing were seen roaming within the Gray Terminal.

As for the pirates, they almost always meet water-type pokemon while they were on their boats. Some flying-types even perched on their masts and sh.i.p.s.

Even the marines and civilians in Shells Town became familiar with the pokemon scurrying within their town, particularly the Rattatas and Pidgeys. Some could even see lots of Krabby walking alongside the seashore.

Because of its unique and beautiful appearances, some nobles became interested with Pokemon and instructed their slaves and guards to capture them but to no avail. Unlike normal animals, they were stronger and could retaliate if threatened or harmed.

Slowly but surely, Okami's plans were fulfilled and more people were exposed to the world of Pokemon.

It had been two years since he arrived at the world of One Piece. Okami was already 12 years old and judging from the original plot, there would be seven years left before the original timeline would happen, wherein Luffy would start his adventure.

========================

"We're about to dock!" Michael shouted as he turned the steering wheel clockwise, his eyes peeled on the sea. When he observed that it was the perfect distance, he continued, "Release the anchor!"

Makino lowered the anchor with gear to around half shackle off the bottom and then held the anchor on brake. "It's done!"

Okami stood at the bowsprit and scanned the port of the Foosha village. The once-simple area became all the more lively and complex because of the changes that Wood Slap had implemented. At the port entrance, there was a very big signage that says 'Pokemon Capital'. Beside it was another huge poster, warning the visitors not to hurt any pokemon roaming within the town.

Indeed, there were many pokemon coexisting with humans in this place. Many Pidgey and Spearow perched atop the rooftops while several Growlithes and Rattatas were scurrying alongside the road. He even noticed several wild Psyduck and wild Krabby on the seashore when he disembarked the ship.

"We will be staying here for about a month before we sail again," Okami told them as soon as they arrived at the port entrance. "You can do whatever you want to, just don't forget to come back after the vacation time is over."

Makino laughed out loud. "Sure, Boss! I'll be visiting the Partys Bar with my brother. See you!" She then left the area while Michael followed behind, heading straight to their destination.

"We'll be off to the Goa Kingdom," Glen explained as he carried the knapsack at his back, and continued, "I still have to buy some food supplies for our journey."

"Yeah! The old man wants to use me as a servant again!" Mackie complained. "Why can't I just spend my time treasure hunting?"

"Shut up! Remember your position, you are my assistant!"

Mackie covered his ears. "I know! I know! Stop nagging!"

They walked toward the windmills as they continued bickering with each other.

Okami shook his head and shifted his attention to the remaining people. "How about you?"

Troy shrugged his shoulders. "I'll be heading to the Pokemon Safari and waste my time communing with the pokemon. See you, Boss."

"I'll be off to the Goa Kingdom to get some news," Bunny uttered.

The two left together and Okami was alone this time. "Where should I go?" He thought of the original plot and could not remember any significant event within these years. "No matter what, I just have to spend my time wandering the islands. I wonder if Luffy is still there at Dadan's house."

Okami teleported right at Mt. Colubo to visit the Mountain Bandit boss. It took him for about several minutes before he found their base and approached the only house within the vicinity. Once he heard the loud familiar voice that echoed the area, he was sure that he found the right place. He knocked on the door and shouted, "Luffy, you there?!"

After a few minutes, the door opened and several thugs went out, their swords on their hands. One of them asked, "Who are you?! How did you arrive at this place?!"

"By luck, I guess," Okami replied in a teasing manner.

The towering 7-foot giant woman noticed the commotion and exited the house as she flexed her arms on her c.h.e.s.t. She glared at Okami and asked, "Why are you here, kid?! You better tell me who you are or I'll make you regret coming here."

Okami chuckled. "I'm Luffy's friend. Can't I just visit a friend?"

Luffy peeked through the door and laughed out loud once he saw Okami. "You're here?! Where have you been, Okami?!" He then rushed to his side and gave him a high-five.

"What's happening here?" Dadan asked when he noticed the two were being friendly with each other.

Luffy turned around and introduced him to Dadan. "Old Hag, meet my friend, Okami! Don't worry, he is a good person, and he is much cooler than you."

Dadan's mouth twitched. "You dare tell other people about my base again?! Isn't it enough that you and Ace let Sabo lived here?!"

Luffy pouted. "Hey, hey, old hag! You should be thankful to him. He is the one who killed Higuma!"

Dadan eyed Okami and expressed her doubts. "Him?! Don't tell me he was the one who killed that jackass and claimed the reward?!"

Luffy nodded. "Anyway, you will be safe because he only targets the one that has a bounty on their head. Luckily, you're very weak and there's no reward on you."

"Who told you that?!"

"Ace."

Dadan snorted and shifted his attention to Okami. "Hey, kid. You can't stay here. Better stay away from this place and never come back."

Okami was about to respond when he noticed two kids exiting the forest.

"Luffy! Look what we've found!"

"A crocodile for lunch!"

Luffy waved his hands and screamed, "Sabo! Ace! Come here! I've got a visitor!"
