The President's Lover is a Fighter

Chapter 100 - Andrea Loves Me

"Andy, you look so beautiful in white… Will you do me the honor of being my woman, my love and my wife for the rest of your life?"

Andrea's eyes glistened at sight of her man down on one knee holding up the ring. She never imagined such a romantic proposal. 'He sure did a good job and definitely deserves a big yes!'

She bit her lip before saying what was on her mind, "Mr. Lu, you are the only man I want to marry... I love you more than cheese. What the hell were you thinking?"

Without warning, she jumped at him making the man lose his balance, falling against the rose petals on the sands. She held him by the face and kissed him recklessly not minding the resort staff around them.

The Front Office Manager, who was standing not too far from them, was taken aback seeing the boss in a different light. In the past year that he had worked for the resort, Andrea barely interacted with them nor displayed any emotions. She was quick to visit and quick to leave, merely coming for the purpose of business.

"Arrg! Babe… I love you to death… but the thorns… the thorns hurt like hell." The man complained.

"What?"

"The thorns, babe. The Roses! They are pricking me."

Realizing that the stalks were pressed against his chest, she sat up and giggled. "Sorry, babe."

He chuckled at her actions then grabbed all the flowers she was holding and set them on the side together with the ones he held.

"Come here." Kneeling in between his legs, he pulled her closer while sitting on his bottom. He grabbed one hand and placed the ring on her finger before holding her by the waist. They began to kiss passionately while remaining seated in the same spot for a few minutes.

Andrea could not help but shed tears of joy. She just kept hugging him and did not want to let go. "Babe, I'm so happy. I'm the happiest I've ever been. I love you… I love you, Fang."

The man's heart was about to leap out of his chest hearing her words. He knew and he felt it, 'Andrea loves me. She really loves me. '

"Andy, I love you the same... Maybe more." He continued to respond with the same embrace and sweet words.

The skies were filled with stars that night seemingly blessing the couple for their commitment in love. From that moment on, they both knew, deep down inside, nothing could keep them apart.

When the man felt she had stopped crying, he carried her over to the tent where they enjoyed a candlelit dinner. The meal was yet another divine experience and after enjoying each other's company, they took pictures of themselves, around the sandbank.

Andrea was very excited to share this moment that she sent a few images to her sister, to Hanxi and to her dad. She dared not to send any to her brother, Yeong.

Meanwhile, In Europe, a few hours behind the Maldives, Alfred was discussing business with Gabriel when he received a message. He had no intention of reading it as he was in a serious conversation with his son, but the phone kept beeping. Curiosity got to him and pulled out the device from his left pocket.

The moment he swiped it open, his smiles became apparent. There was no regret in his decision to pull out his gadget. In fact, he sat back on his chair earnestly looking the photos that were sent to him. There was even one picture of Christina which made his heart warm. He immediately thought, 'I need to make things right soon. I need to visit Andrea again.'

"Dad, are you okay? You are grinning by yourself."

His expression immediately became serious as he placed the phone on the table. "Gabriel, I hope that you and Andy can put aside your differences. I would really want her to come back to us… Let us be a family again."

"Dad, you know it's not me. Andy… She is avoiding me! She has been for the past years – "

"It may be different now, son. She is happy!" He then showed the photos of Andrea and Lu Fang to Gabriel with an intention to prove that his daughter has already moved on. "See the expression on her eyes? Have you ever seen her so happy before?"

Alfred was so fixated of the possibility that he failed to notice the wounding reaction of his son.

"Mr. Davies, the investors have arrived and are settled in the conference room," his assistant announced.

"Good! Finally. Let's go, Gabriel." Alfred rushed to the door and turned back realizing his hands were empty, "Grab the files on my desk will you, son… and also my phone."

Gabriel merely nodded but as soon as the doors closed, he did not waste a second and scanned the photos on his father's gallery. 'Maldives. They are in the Maldives.'

It did not take long for him to be on the phone. "Stupid. How many days has it been? You haven't found Andy!"

"Excuses! She is in the Maldives. Fly out there immediately. You will not miss her for sure. There is only one international airport in that country. You have to catch up with her by tomorrow, you understand?"

Simultaneously, at the prior resort, Harold Smith was trying to get information about the man who his daughter had fancied. Since it was his third visit at the property, a few of the hosts already knew him by name.

"Amjad, I absolutely forgot the name of the individual who I spoke to yesterday. He was the same person whom your chef had personally served breakfast at that table."

Making acquaintances with the prominent was uncommon in the resort that Amjad thought that it was, in fact, the case. So he gave the name. "Mr. Smith, you mean Mr. Lu Fang?"

"Yes, yes… that was him. He told me that he was in business and he wanted to consider expanding to the US, but at that time, Patricia was having difficulty breathing and I excused myself… I had absolutely forgotten to get his information."

Amjad became a little reluctant, but he did not have much information on Mr. Lu from the start, so he merely replied with all that he knew. "He was one of our most valued guest for the day, Mr. Smith. I'm afraid the only information I know of him is that he is a businessman in China."

"Thank you Amjad, I can take it from here." Harold gave him a pat on the back before leaving the restaurant. He realized it will take him time to narrow it down, but for his daughter, he was determined to give it a try.
