Governor Rou Yanlin's arrest was all over the news. The citizens were in outrange and in question, how an old rich man could be so ruthless keeping an Asylum intended to make his enemies suffer. What made it even more despicable was how the man could keep his own great-niece a prisoner! Rou Chunhua was kept in the facility by her own flesh and blood in order to take control of the remaining assets of the Rous. Rou Jian, his younger brother, had no choice but to waive all his rights to the wealth given to him just so he could keep his granddaughter alive.

The asylum was not only meant for the Governor's enemy. The military had confirmed that there were victims who had no association with the Rou Yanlin and they suspect to have been kept there by their own rivals. With this, a list of names, all from powerful backgrounds, were added to General Lei's suspects. Meanwhile, the families of the victims were very grateful for the return of their loved ones.

Andrea hoped that it was the end of Rou Yanlin's schemes but to be on the safe side she was still monitoring any movement from his people. At the same time, she continued to check for any assassination job requests. Since they have had two days of peace, she also had time to check on her personal investments and call her father.

"Hi Dad, how have you been?" She asked as soon as Alfred Davis answered the phone.

"Andy, my daughter. I miss you so much. I'd really like to see you. Please tell me where you are?" Hearing this, she could feel the longing from his voice and felt the warmth from within.

"Dad, if I tell you where I am, you might take me home by force." She gave a joke though she knew he was capable of doing so.

The man on the other line laughed. "You know I could, but I have given you your freedom… Andy, next week is your birthday, I want to see my daughter even just for a day. Please tell me where you are. Anywhere in the world, I will fly to you."

Alfred Davies had all the connections to know her location, but he respected her decision to live free from them so he never once made use of this advantage.

She was in deep thought for a second but eventually decided to tell him, "I am in Beijing, dad. I guess we could meet next week."

Her response made Alfred happy that he was already planning what gift to buy her. He thought, 'Finally, my daughter is opening up to me again and maybe she could come back home just like before.'

A day after the party, Lu Fang had a serious conversation with his father about Wu Meiwan. Her father was upset about how his daughter was treated and Lu Wei received all the cynical comments from his friend.

"Dad, please tell Wu Xu Ying, I am sorry, but all Meiwan has to do is to avoid me. Make it clear to her that I have no interest in her, not even being a friend now. After what she did between me and Mian in the past, I have learned not to give her any attention whatsoever. I'm sure she will bring trouble for me and Andrea so, if avoiding her was not enough, this time, I am willing to use brutal ways of pushing her away."

"Lu Fang, we have already decided to support your relationship with Andrea, but for friendship's sake, make this right and talk to Xu Ying and Meiwan properly."

The man's aura became dark. It was not enough that he was occupied with work; he had to deal with Meiwan's childish ways. Thus, before the week ended, he decided to drop by and pay a visit to the Wu Residence, but this did not play well with Andrea.

As the couple parked outside the grand residence, his babe was giving him a flustered face.

"Do you want to come inside?"

She looked at the man sarcastically and said, "I don't deserve to see that woman's face. It's a disrespect to my beauty."

He laughed at her answer but knew she was in a bad mood so he let her be and kissed her forehead before stepping outside the car.

"You don't need to be jealous of her - "

"I'm not jealous Lu Fang, I'm telling you she spells TROUBLE! Now, 15 minutes is all I am giving you. Make it clear and quick!"

The moment he entered the house, the woman was already there waiting for him in her sleeping dress.

"Brother Fang! I'm so happy to see you." Wu Meiwan tried to hug the man, but he raised his palm at her giving her the stop sign.

"Meiwan, stay 5 meters away from me at all times. Now, where is your father?"

"Brother Fang, why are you so mean?" she said while trying to press together her breast with her arms.

Her actions made the man feel disgusted and turned to the door before saying another word, "If your father is not here, I will take a leave – "

"Wait, I will call him. You can wait in his study." Wu Meiwan interrupted and directed him to the room where he was to wait.

While inside the study, a maid came in to bring him a glass of juice and water. "Mr. Lu, have something to drink while waiting for Master Wu."

"Thank you." Lu Fang said as he reached out for the glass of water and took a sip.

5 minutes had passed and Wu Xu Ying still did not arrive. He became impatient and was about to leave when Wu Meiwan came inside.

"Meiwan, where is your father? I don't have all night."

"Brother Fang, can we talk for a while? I really wanted us to go back the way we were before. We were such good friends…"

She went on and on about what had happened in the past, especially with Shen Mian and the while he was trying to listen, he felt a little nauseous. It did not take long for him to realize what was happening.

'F**k, the water!' He said to himself. He realized he had fallen into a trap of the cunning woman.

He immediately took out his phone and rang Andrea who was waiting outside the house.
