The President's Lover is a Fighter

Chapter 83 - Four Points

Alfred gulped at the request. True enough, even when she was a child, she barely asked for anything. She knew her place and never took advantage of Davies' wealth.

"Sweetheart, tell me where he works, I will buy the company."

"Who are his parents? Let's pay them a visit right now and settle your marriage. Surely, 5 billion dollars would be enough to satisfy them."

"Where does he live? Let me buy you both a house."

Andrea laughed outright hearing her dad. She knew well he would give her anything she wants, but never knew to which extent.

"Dad, they are pretty well off. In fact, their company is vying to be the 2nd largest in China."

"Hmmm… Well, that's a shame. I was hoping to spend money on you today."

Her father's plan made her shook her head as she continued to laugh.

"What's the company name? I have not really paid attention to China, but I am willing to make a business partner out of him if it means tying him down to you."

"Haha! Dad, seriously. You don't have to. The man will do anything I say."

"That's good to know."

"He is the president of Lu-Wei Enterprises."

Alfred, "!!!"

'Lu Wei?'

She instantly noticed the strange reaction from her father. His face became pale like he had seen a ghost. Alfred became silent after that and seem to be in deep thought.

"Andy, how much does he know about you? About our business?"

Andrea told her father about how they met and that she had told him of the Davies' dark past. She also explained to him how Lu Fang accepted her knowing about Amaryllis Red and a little about her real parents.

"The only thing we haven't covered yet is your existing businesses, the legit ones... and… That Gabriel is your son."

"Hmmm… I see, "Alfred's only response.

Lu Fang came back right on time for their meals to be served. The couple started to dig in as they were extremely hungry not having taken breakfast earlier that day.

"Lu Fang… Tell me… Tell me about your parents." Alfred asked, stumbling on his last words.

"Ah, well my dad is Lu Wei and mother is Christina… She never wanted to use her real name, but she carries my father's last name, Christina Lu."

"She is also British."

"Actually, dad, you have some similarities with Lu Fang's mom."

"Now that I think about it, that's probably why I thought Lu Fang looks a lot like you!" Andrea spoke with enthusiasm.

Alfred felt his heart beat faster. His instincts were telling him so, but a big part of him wanted to be sure. "Really now? Maybe I should take a look and judge for myself! Do you have a picture of your mother?"

"Yes, I do." After scanning through some pictures on his phone, he enlarged one photo of them and handed it to over. "Here it is."

Alfred's hands began to shake as he looked at the family picture on Lu Fang's phone. A tear fell on his check but he quickly wiped it off with his palm. The couple was busy with their meal that they missed his unusual reaction.

"Excuse me for a bit, let me just go to the washroom."

It was only when her father opened the door of their private room that she realized he was awfully quiet. She wondered if he was feeling alright.

It had been more than 15 minutes when Alfred returned and his eyes were slightly wet making Andrea worry.

"Dad, are you okay?"

He let out a sigh before answering, "Yes! Yes I am. I am sorry."

"I decided to stay overnight and wish you well on your birthday first thing in the morning!"

He then turned to the man in front and said, "I also want to get to know my future son-in-law."

Lu Fang, 'Wonder how I got that point?'

"Young man, let's have a drink tonight, shall we? Your place? Or shall we book a hotel suite?"

Andrea's eyes grew wide. She could not believe how easy it was for her dad to became accepting of Lu Fang.

When they arrived at the mansion, Alfred nodded several times as his eyes roamed the property. Needless to say, he was impressed.

"Okay! Let's begin young man!"

"Right away, sir!" Lu Fang said and went straight to the wine cellar.

While the man was out of their sight, Alfred scolded Andrea for living together with the man, but all she said was. "I'm also his bodyguard, Dad. I needed to protect him!" She then left before her father could ask further, hoping to avoid the topic indefinitely.

Bringing 4 bottles with him, Alfred grinned and said, "Do you have cheese to go with that?"

The man gasped at the request but politely replied, "Yes, we do. I've stocked several for Andy."

"You do eat cheese right?"

"Absolutely, Mr. Davies. I love Andy… and cheese."

To Lu Fang, their conversation started out rather odd as Alfred asked much about his mother, but brushed it off thinking, 'He probably just wants to get to know more about my family.'

After consuming two bottles of wine, their topic switched to testing the man's commitment towards Andrea. Unfortunately for Alfred, Lu Fang was born ready for it.

"How much do you love my daughter? What if you will meet someone more beautiful than Andy, you might just put her aside."

"Sir, Andy is the one and only woman that I will love. Though soon, I will love another… but she will call her mommy."

"Haha! So that means, you like to have a daughter?" Alfred asked.

"Yes, I want to have a princess. One that I can spoil and protect."

Alfred responded with several nods hearing this. He too was quite fond of Andrea and thought, 'A girl is indeed adorable for a grandchild.'

Lu Fang thought, 'Looks like I got a point… was that 3 points already?'

"Of course, I will not stop with just one girl, Mr. Davies. I want a happy family with lots of children."

"Haha!" Alfred was already imagining 4-6 kids calling him grandfather and was pleased with the idea.

"I hope your love for Andy will not fade. I will be sure to come after you if that happens."

Lu Fang frowned at what Alfred said and seemed to be thinking really hard. After a few seconds, he then let out his thoughts, "Mr. Davies, the only day I will stop loving Andy is on February 30."

"Hahahaha!" They both laughed in unison.

Lu Fang, '4 points!'

Andrea could hear the men laughing their hearts out in the dining area and knew, there was no stopping them. So instead, she called her brother to check on Hanxi.

"Andy." She heard Hanxi's weak voice on the other line.

"Andy, I can't talk much. I'm still drowsy from all these pain killers I am talking."

"It's fine bro, I'm just checking on you. I'm glad you're okay."

All of a sudden, he heard Andrea make some fake sobs. "Hanxi, I'm being ignored by the men of my life."

"Whatever, Andy. Go to bed."
