The Red Nights

" What have you decided about me ? " Dana asked after minutes of silence her sights focused on the floor, Lina and Natasha looked at each other making a mute conversation then they turned to the young girl, it was Natasha who took the talk " you will with us , more precisely with me , until the day after tomorrow ".

She raised her head and gazed at them surprised " you will not kill me ? ".

" No " Lina said " you gave us a an answer without lying, so there is no need for us to eliminate you" she paused and said by throwing suspicions sights on her " Unless there is something important you're hiding to us? " . But she didn't reply anything and just bowed her head and Lina didn't insist.

" Well, in her house you will find all what you will need , clothes, food and calm and in two days you will catch up with your friends " she added.

" And what about me ? " Matteo asked a little anxious as Natasha's house only had two restrooms and he was fearing the answer Lina would give him.

The latter smiled mischievously " you know Nat' has only two rooms in her house , so there is no other choice for you but to come stay in mine " and that was what he was fearing, he immediately protested " no , I refuse, there must another option. Why can't she stay with you instead of me? " .

She took a false compassionate tone " oh, I already already envisaged that but , look " she pointed Dana " it seems that she is really afraid of me, I can't impose that to her ".

Matteo gazed at her with an expression which surely wanted to say " really ? " , and as thought the latter looked back at him and nodded slowly , the traumatism could be read on her face. He couldn't understand why it was like that as he was behind and couldn't have seen it when it happened, when Dana crossed Lina's sights and saw the terror , but even though he couldn't get it, he didn't give up and insisted, he pointed Natasha and asked " why aren't you scared of her , she the one who kicked your a.s.s, you may not want to stay with her, right? " however her decision remained the same.

He took a look at Lina who was still smiling like a chess player who just had made super great move, he felt like he was trapped in a locked room where there was no way out . He cogitated to find another solution when something appeared in his mind.

He looked at Lina and asked " You are not worried that she may try to escape when Natasha will go to ... I mean when she will not be at home? " but she had already predicted it she turned to Dana and asked with a very calm voice " will you try to escape? " , the girl immediately shook her head and she turned back to Matteo " you see she won't try anything " .

" So what about just give me my own house. I think I don't need to be watched anymore like I was a little baby, I mean I can leave by myself " he replied while keeping in mind that he played his last and ultimate card and Lina knew that . They both engaged themselves into a battle of sight waiting for the next move which would decide whether Matteo would stay with her or not, [ if I didn't miscalculate it should remain some houses or apartments which are free , she can't use this excuse ] he smiled with the confidence that he won this round [ she is out of options ] .

But it seemed that he underestimated Lina as she had another card hidden under her sleeve, her smile erased Matteo's , she looked at him and the argument which would destroy all his hopes of escaping from her " yeah , you are totally right, you're m.a.t.u.r.e enough to leave by yourself... however in the papers you're still minor so you need the approval of your tutor " Matteo who was starting to see through her plan try to counter " but Natasha can be my tutor she is an a.d.u.l.t furthermore I'm leaving under her roof since I came in this city , so it would be legitimate... "

" In this point you may be right but technically she is not" she paused for few seconds then she carried on " if you allow me to explain and by the way don't hold yourself to rectify me if I'm wrong, I remember the day you came here I proposed you to give you your own residency but Jamal said that there was no need, that he would take care of you and you didn't any sign of protestations what would mean that you willingly agreed to take Jamal as your official tutor " Matteo tied his fists frustrated as he was seeing clearly now the trap Lina had placed " so in other terms you need Jamal's agreement to receive the key to your own house but actually your tutor is absent so you will stay with me until he came back " she walked slowly toward him " checkmate, you fought well but for it's my win"

" You're a real demon " he grunted between his teeth and she gladly replied " and you will keep me company for tonight ".

Natasha coughed as she didn't realize that she was holding her breath for almost all along the battle, she and Dana were standing on a side of the office remaining quiet while they were arguing, when it was finally over they looked at each other and Dana asked by pointing in their direction " This ? Does this happen frequently? " she sighed " yeah , everytime they see each other . In fact, Lina is the type of person who always wants to quarrel with everyone " she acknowledged.

She looked a bit surprised " even with you ? " .

" Mostly with me " she exclaimed.

" I mean, you both look so... friendly, whereas those two who seem like they dislike each other " Dana said a little embarrassed, the woman looked away shameful when she understood what was in her mind " if you are referring to what you've seen when you came let me tell you that we don't do those kinds of things... I mean she usually makes those kinds of jokes but it's just for fun... we're not in this border her and I ".

At the moment she finished her phrase Lina came from her back , surrounded her h.i.p.s with her arms and stuck her head on her shoulder near her head. " yes, we are just two very very close friends " she put a kiss on her cheek and released her while Dana was holding herself to not burst out laughing. " Well enough of chitchat, now I have heard the voice of my darling I can go home serenely so hurry up and get out of my office " Lina said while she was arranging all the stuffs on her desk and was preparing to leave.

" So about you speech, I thought we had to repeat until it's perfect " Natasha stepped forward and asked.

" Don't worry Matteo will help me with it and moreover at this moment I'm too starving and tired to work " she picked her bag and turned to her " I would have invited you to go eating together but you have to take care of Miss. Crybaby " she said by designating Dana . She reached the door, opened it and made a sign of the head to tell to come out " I need to pass by Natasha's house to take my stuffs " Matteo tried a last manoeuvre to escape but she quickly grabbed him by his collar and stopped in his moose " you will get all what you need, accept your defeat and let's go " .

Then left the office and once outside they separated into two groups which went on different ways. Lina with her car transported Matteo and as her usual she stopped by Saidu's restaurant to take food and the boy didn't miss to comment " what is that girl who doesn't even know cooking, such a pity . I still don't get why Jamal is with you instead of Natasha who is kind, calm and a very good cook ".

Instead of getting angry she replied with a large smile " I think you confused with some points . One , I'm the one who chose him and not the opposite. Two , when we started dating he already knew about my cook skills, my behavior and my temper. And three, if he knew all about my imperfections and still stayed with me it's not only because I'm super hot and very good in the bed , it's because he is madly in love with me. Got it ? ". Matteo rolled his eyes up " I'm still thinking that you've used magical tricks to bewitched him " .

" Shut up " she grumbled " you're the only macho guy in our era who still thinks that women have to cook for men . My beloved and I are above that rude ideology "

" Really? " he sighed " is that the only argument you've found to justify yourself. What I'm saying is that when someone is full of lacks the least this someone can do to keep his ' beloved ' is to have something unique that can balance this someone's deficiencies, don't you think? ".

" Well , for my part I don't worry about that " she responded totally relaxed " if he was enough crazy to date a mad woman like me he really must love danger he won't leave me so easily " Matteo remained silent as he didn't have anything to reply, until they got to arrive at their destination.

" Here we are, welcome in my house " Natasha greeted her once they arrived and she pulled the door for her. She stepped in and Natasha added " act like it's your home, don't be shy if you need anything just let me know okay? " but she didn't say anything so she carried on " your room is actually upstairs, the first door in your right which is facing another one with blue and pink color on it. Matteo was very clean so you should not have problems with his room " still quiet , [ frustrating, why doesn't she comment , even once ] she complained in her mind " well, go up take a shower while I'm preparing the dinner ".

She did so still silently what made Natasha giving up , 20 minutes she was going down the stairs with the suits she received from her before, when she finished her shower. She directly went to sit at the kitchen around a circular table . Natasha served her before serving herself, they started to eat at the first silently then she bursted out " what is it? I thought you weren't scared by me ? "

It was so sudden that she made the girl jumping of astonishment, she bowed her head and didn't respond for the first time but the insisting Natasha's eyes which were staring at her made her cracking , she took a breath and said " it's not like I'm afraid of you by yourself, it's just that I'm awfully asocial so it's a bit tough for me to respond you ".

" Oh , I understand, but talking with me it's not actually something you should stress about " she then started up a long and interesting conversation and even when they finished their food they went on and they stopped only when Natasha noticed that Dana was actually tired so she told her to go have some sleep until tomorrow.
