"Secretary General, Nice to see you again!" Alex greeted as he shook hands with the man.

"Yes, It has been awhile Mr. Maximus" replied Midas. "I requested this meeting because I wanted to tell you personally that the council has approved of you're request to be a civilian oversight for SWORD" he stated getting right to point.

Alexander smiled and was pleased to hear their approval. "I'm quite pleased to hear that secretary and I have a good news for you also" He said before he handed a folder to the secretary.

Which the secretary gladly took and begun to read it. The secretary general's eyes begun to widened as he continued to read on towards the end before he ask for confirmation "You're not pulling my strings aren't you?" He asked.

"No, all that's written in the folders are true" Alex replied with a smile. "With the help of Space X, new Starship augmented with Ion drives from recovered Alien wreckage, the space station should be finish in about 2 years." He expertly lied as the ship is currently at 60 percent on its construction but he instead opted to lie as it would lead to a lot of question on his company's manufacturing capabilities considering it's only been 3 months since the construction started.

The secretary couldn't help but gawked at his confirmation. "T-that's good to hear! The council estimated that the construction would go around about a decade atleast and was prepared to go for the long game but we never thought it would be this fast, if what you said is true then the council need to push the plans ahead of schedule" He said.

Alex nodded and replied "yes and the starsh.i.p.s are also just a few months behind the Space Stations from its completion."

The Secretary General beamed at the news and said "Yes, hopefully once it made public, it will ignite humans passion to explore space."

"Sadly we cannot take claim of the title of first human starship as Elon has already claimed said title and on his way to planting a flag in mars." Said Alex as he smiled wry.

Elon was really smug about it though not to insult him but more of a proud smugness that says in your face without the slap.

"You're right but it will give the council a good rep as the ship is a joint cooperation of the different nations." The secretary stated.

"Okay so here's the complete overview of its capabilities..." Alex said as the two then settled on talking about the sh.i.p.s capability.

"So how was your visit on another Galaxy?" Alex ask her Skye, who just got off the ship and was looking tired.

The two were ccurently in europa sentri based, where the two sh.i.p.s was dock and are currently being inspected by the scientists.

"All thing considered, it was boring and we manage to find a good place to set up a colony." Skye replied. "We have planted a gate there and now just waiting for the full review of the planet." She added.

Alex smiled and patted her head. "That's good and your visit at the segue 1 galaxy?"

"Wasn't able to find any signs of life in it via QE sensors except for monoliths that our scientists think is a derelict of an extinct race." She replied. "And it's Ida Galaxy by the way, the nerds in R&D decided to rename it" she added as she rolled her eyes.

Alex look amused and said "so no stargate, then?"

Skye rolled her eyes and said "shut it, that joke's been overused throughout the voyage, I don't want to hear anymore stargate jokes." She then send a pocket of data through their neural link towards his fathers before adding. "That's the performance report of the Warp Drive, it work well as expected"

Alex frowned as he remembered that he really should reprimand his scientists in naming things from famous sci-fi shows because they'll get sued one of this days. "No, we'll be renaming it as Bifrost Drive, we'll get sued by nerds everywhere, if they learned of this." He said making her daughter chuckle. (AN: No Marvel or MCU in this realm)

Although named after the rainbow bridge of norse myth, the drive functions differently than what was shown in the MCU films back in his homeworld and instead acts like a large slip ring that opens a portal in a pint of time where space was in a single point before opening another to the designated destination in real space.

The only problem they had with it is that it takes a lot computation in order to predict the exact position of space, so two AI's named Brynhildr and Eir were created to help the ship traverse through the slip.

"So I guess we are proceeding as planned?" His daughter which he replied with a nod.

"Yes and by next year, we should be able to operate publicly since UN will also introduce their first Capital ship by that time and space flight should be common by the following years." He responded before noticing the frown on his daughter's face. "Is there anything wrong?" He ask.

"You do know that war will also follow humans in space right? It might not happen in 5 years or so but when the colonize planets reach a certain point, they will try and declare their own independence from Earth, right?" She reasoned.

Alex smiled at how perceptive his daughter was, so he replied. "I know Skye and that's why, I've been nudging various UN leaders to plan ahead before they could enter the spacefaring era since resources and such are going to be abundant and the economy needs to restructured." He explained to Skye.

"I'll let the politicians under our paycheck into introduce laws that will hopefully help the world ease in entering the space age." He added.

Skye nodded in understanding. The two then settled into a calm conversation as Skye proceeded to brief Alex on their trip.

Suddenly a golden ankh shape symbol appeared out of nowhere and blasted Alex off his feet, chaos then erupted around the base as golden chains begun to wrap around Alex, dragging him near a man with a golden helmet, which alex immediately known was doctor fate.

Alex turned towards his daughter and signaled for her to exit the facility immediately.

So, Skye with an understanding that she will only get in the way, quickly ran unto an exit and push the Lockdown button, which activated all the runes all over the place that protect the people in the base as well as reinforcing it, to prevent the people from being exposed to the harsh climate outside.

She knew that her father was very powerful so she didn't have to worry for him that much though a little voice of doubt kept whispering on the back of her head as she recognized the attacker as a very dangerous foe.

"Alexander Maximus, you are an abomination, that should not be and is an insult to natural order" said Doctor Fate. "I have come to vanish you from this realm due to your affront to fate." He added.

Alex frowned as he look at the glaring golden helmet of Dr. Fate "You're quite arrogant aren't you?" He said before casually breaking the chains as his eyes release an ethereal glow. "If there was one who was an affornt to the natural law them that would be you! Cheating death by putting your soul in an object!" He said in a cold voice.

Europa trembled as powers release by Alex completely soak the moon and suffocating everyone who are near him, Fate included.

Before Fate can cast another spell, Alex quickly appeared beside him and yanked the helmet out of Lord of Order's head without much of a resistance.

Fate suddenly turned into an Old man dropping unto the steel floor beneath them, while cracking a few bones in the process.

"Unhand me abomination!" The helmet roared as it glowed brightly trying to fight off Alex grip over it.

Alex furrowed before he grip the said helmet. "There's no need for you in this world you pitiful excuse of a wizard!" He said simultaneously crushing the helmet with unimaginable force causing the object to screamed in pain.

A golden spirit broke out of the helmet and attempted to flee but Alex was prepared as chains with glowing runes wrap around the spirit before being drag unto a conjured capsule similar in shape to a lantern's central battery.

Fate gave out a final scream in horror before he was forcefully imprisoned in the battery, which then glowed gold.

Alex lined every inch of the battery with millions microscopic size runes within seconds making sure that the Nabu wouldn't be able to escape this prison for the end of time.

Kent, his previous host wailed as he saw what has transpired, crawling his way towards the battery in vain. "What have you done!?" Kent screamed.

Alex turned towards the old man and applied a bit of healing charm just enough to stop the pain "Nabu is delusional, if he thought that he can enforce order like some godly entity, when in truth he's just a corrupted wizard who cheated death nothing more, nothing less" He calmly said.

"You're going to break the balance! If there's no Lord of Order then the Order of this plane dies while chaos will take hold of this plane of existence!" Kent reasoned as he manage to stand still cradling his broken arm.

Alex laugh as he heard Kent's reasoning. "Complete utter lie, his continued existence here, doesn't benefit the plane very much" He said laughing some more before adding "Order and Chaos are two sides of the same coin, Order is slavery, while Chaos is anarchy and besides I'm not killing him, just imprisoning him to prevent another disaster that his foolhardy ways would bring"

Kent tried to process, what Alex said but it only made him confuse more. Alex shook his head at Kent's midlife crisis and instead erase the man's memory concerning him and the sentri base, he did put instructions on his head how to operate the battery with it's ring because it would be a waste in not using Nabu to protect the Earth but this time Kent will be in control.

After sending the Old man back, he made a broadcast throughout the base and declare it safe for them to resume work.

Skye slowly approach his father with a worried look, Alex didn't know if it was shock because of the attack or because of the powers that almost drowned everyone in the moon but his daughter immediately embrace him tightly as if afraid to lose him.

Although Skye knew that her father was stupidly powerful, she still couldn't help but worry for the man who have shown kindness to her all those times when everyone was just passing her by during her time in the streets. Where everyone drop a coin to her, he came and instead offered her a future and a family, she really loved this father of hers and losing him would be tantamount to losing everything.

Alex smiled at his adopted daughter as he remembered the strong and stubborn girl he met back in France.

He leaned in towards her ear and whispered "come now, little princess I'll cook you your favorite food."

Alex was then slap at the back as Skye react embarrassingly at the first pet name her father created to embarrass her during 'the bring your parents day' when she was 15.

Alex laugh reverberated throughout the base as duo disappeared from the base as the people then continued their previous work as if nothing happened.
