The Rise Of An Empire

Hearing their lord command resonated throughout the wall, those soldiers under the shield start to split up and what appear was a long red tube with dragon curving on it looking similar to a mortar.

At the bottom of the mortar was a fuse and at the front of the mortar is a dragon head! The warriors that is operating those mortar are actually Gao Liang secret unit that he been building up, the Liang Fire Dragon Mortar Unit!

Liang Fire Dragon Mortar Unit Officer: "Fire at will!"

Fei,Ji, and Wa unit soldiers: "What is that...?"

Seeing a dragon head flying towards them the three Pei Kingdom unit who never seen such a weapon didn't know how to react as they stare at the object getting closer and closer.

Instant chaos descended onto the field full of soldiers and siege towers. Many soldiers that was caught in the blast either die right away or have their limps blown off and the Liang Fire Dragon Mortar Unit are not stopping any time soon as they continue to rain death down on the three Pei Kingdom unit.

But the siege towers prove to be truly strong since the dragon head explosion only made a dent on the siege tower armor as they continue to move forward. However, they didn't know that the Liang clan have another surprise in store for them and its closer to them than ever.

Noticing that the dragon head explosion didn't take much effect on the heavy siege tower, Gao Liang immediately order his two most trusted officer Hy Liang and Vi Liang to commence the second phase in their plan.

"Initiate the chain explosion of the dragon bomb now!"

Hy Liang and Vi Liang: "Yes lord!"

Hy Liang and Vi Liang: "Archers, lit your arrows! Aim for those bumps on the ground!"

In that moment, a scene that the entire Pei Kingdom imperial army will never forget as long as they shall live happens. A series of humongous explosive played out on the battlefield all around the approaching Pei Kingdom army, it happen so fast that none of them could even see what happen until it is already too late.

The explosion sent sharp nails everywhere as it penetrate the soldier's armor causing instant death while those with shields protecting them are heavily injured. Those siege tower was also sent off the ground or torn apart upon impact burying all the soldiers within them and those surrounds them. Screams and cry for help ringing all around.

But there are still way to many siege tower for the dragon bomb to eliminate since the dragon bomb itself came in small quantity. Ever since Lu Liang was born, Gao Liang have been prepping for war with all the resources they have but it was still limited especially the dragon bomb and mortar which Gao Liang created from a sudden discovery.

The fireworks that the Liang clan use to celebrate every lunar new year actually have more uses to them when Gao Liang saw a clansman got heavily injured from a malfunctioned firework that exploded once the clansman light the fuse. This give Gao Liang the idea that would change warfare forever with the creation of Liang fire dragon mortar unit and dragon bomb.

Thanks to this discovery the Liang clan was able to disrupt those three Pei Kingdom unit formation and from the look of things. Those three Pei Kingdom unit have actually loss more than two third of their men already!

However, with the combination of three units with over ten thousand soldiers in total as they continue to pour into the field that only allow three thousand at a time cause the fighting to continue into the close quarters phase as the survived siege tower latch itself onto the walls.

Soon a metallic sounds could be heard from the siege tower as their drawbridge are preparing to drop onto the walls. Knowing that the enemy about to rush in after the drawbridge are completely down, the Liang warriors stand firm as their commanding officers rally the troops.

Liang clan elite infantry officers: "no matter how many come through those drawbridge, kill them all with no mercy!"

Tuong Liang who have long move towards he men speak loudly "kill all of those bastards and use their blood as a sacrifice to our fallen brothers!"

Thousand Spear unit officers: "do not disappoint our lord!"

The drawbridge slam down heavily onto the wall in all direction!

Fei, Ji, and Wa unit soldiers: "CHARGE!"

Weapons clashed, armor torn, and death all around as the opposing forces finally meet face to face in huge numbers on the Liang pass wall.

The Pei Kingdom imperial soldiers may be skilled and valiant but in the face of Liang clan warriors who are fighting like a devil, ignoring their injuries to continue the battle. Preventing the Pei Kingdom troops from creating a foothold on the walls.
