Congratulations" Gao Liang who is locked in battle with Loi Pei couldn't help but form a smile on his face, although he truly want to kill Loi Pei as soon as possible but the feeling of a hard fight is to enticing for him to let pass. Also from their initial clash Gao Liang felt a change in Loi Pei power and his guts is telling him to wait before using his ultimate skill.

"Thanks to you that night, I actually have an enlightenment regarding my own martial arts which help me break through my own limitations. I have you to thank, Commander Gao Liang or should I say patriarch Gao Liang." Loi Pei also return the pleasantry to Gao Liang as he also form a satisfying smile proving that he was enjoying their fight.

Actually, ever since their fight that faithful night and Loi Pei became unconscious due to his injuries. Inside his tent Loi Pei body actually have a faint blue light covering his entire body! The light swirls around his body as Loi Pei open his eyes inside a dark space where he saw bright texts floating in a neat order around the area. After a short period of time, Loi Pei realize that the floating text are actually his own techniques but written in a different form. Although confused, Loi Pei decided to practice his skill following the text instructions and the result is that his power increased by a great amount but the true harvest was his trump card.

The battlefield will turn completely in our favor soon enough" after sending his final warning Gao Liang made a right slash towards Loi Pei ribs which the latter easily block with his weapon but the force have push them apart after a long fight.

"Don't be so sure of yourself…." Before Loi Pei could finish his sentence, a loud sound of a war horn was blown from the distance which made him turn his head as he see a large dusk cloud could be seen approaching their direction.

Soon a large group of heavy cavalry appear from the dusk cloud with flags that Loi Pei could recognized immediately because what he saw was the Liang flag! And that large group of heavy cavalry is about to collide with his men from the back. Turning back Loi Pei could see Gao Liang smiling at him which prove why he was so confident when the Liang clan forces are still outnumbered even if Loi Pei has lost two generals and maybe two more in time. With the amount of soldiers they still have is enough to overwhelm the enemy.

"So you knew huh?" Loi Pei ask in a calm voice knowing that there is no point in panicking now since they are checkmate and there is still hope for him to take.

"Of course I knew of the plan but I didn't expect them to show up this soon since I'm pretty sure you have soldiers back at the camp outside and soldiers on the Liang pass walls as well. While we were still in combat I notice a disturbance in the distance but to be certain I was waiting for them to come closer before I can tell which forces they belong to base on the horses hooves hitting the hard floor. Once I heard the noises close enough then I knew that my reinforcement and your end has arrive because only red haire could create a scene as such." Gao Liang didn't mind explaining a few things to Loi Pei as his reply was swift.

"Then I just need to kill you while my men hold that newly arrive forces at bay. Once you are dead then the battle is over for the Liang clan!" even while he was talking, blue light started to appear around Loi Pei body as he continue to say softly "heavenly general ascension."

The light start to rotate faster as a dazzling set of armor start to appear on Loi Pei body and an image of a dignifying soldier could be seen standing behind him holding of a huge polearm as his power have reached an all-time high. Loi Pei have manage to reach this state during his enlightenment and by successfully practicing the heavenly general ascension skill. Unlike Gao Liang skill that form after a fusion of skill and bloodl.u.s.t, Loi Pei skill originate from a brand new skill that form on its own by using his life experiences and the reflection of one self but similar with Gao Liang is that Loi pei can only maintain the heavenly general ascension skill for a short period of time while the difference is that if Loi Pei stay within that realm for too long then he will exhaust himself to the point of collapse and leave himself open for enemy attack. Which is inferior to Gao Liang in a sense because Gao Liang could use the dragon of destruction skill forever if he wants to in exchange for his sanity.

Hearing Loi Pei declaration and the power around him, Gao Liang chuckle before activating his ultimate skill "Dragon of destruction."
