Rex looked shocked at the awakening crystal which had maroon red colour. A emotion mixed of shock, sadness and disappointment had filled his face. He couldn't accept that he wasn't able to awaken his beast.

Rex removed his hand and again placed it on the awakening crystal, but the result was same he was still a mortal person. The panel noted this down in his file.

Mr. Brooks was looking at the crystal at the boy desperately tried to try to change his mana core colour. First he looked at crystal casually showcasing another semi-failure, but soon a faint flicker in the crystal caught his eye.

Seeing this he focused on the crystal trying to find the flicker which he had seen. A slit was present there in the crystal which produced sparks as the energy inside the crystal brushed with it.

And when the boy removed his hands the slit would disappear as the energies in crystal moved slowly. Seeing this phenomenon he frowned as he looked at the boy.

Rex was led down from the podium by a teacher as he made his way back to the stands. Nearby students sneered at him and some even mocked him. He didn't have friendly relations with all students.

He was more of loner and didn't mix with those people so he didn't have many friends. The only friend he had was Vivian. So people openly mocked and jeered him.

Everyone knew that he didn't have any chance of awakening now. The elemental crystal was rare and cost a large fortune. Rex being a orphan they knew that he couldn't afford it.

Rex too was stressing himself out thinking about his failure. Elemental crystal were quite expensive and required huge amount of money. To get one he had to build up a huge amount of fortune.

'Money.. yes maybe I can ask Vivian for money. His father is the village chief he must be having money. I can borrow it from his father or take a loan or something.' Rex contemplated in his mind.

Soon the ceremony ended as the host wished everyone good luck and left with the panel. The students then scattered discussing with each other. Some went home, some congratulated the awakeners of today's ceremony, while some consoled the ones who had failed.

Rex also got up and made his way towards Vivian. As he approached, he saw a huge crowd had surrounding Vivian, congratulating him trying to enter his good books. With huge effort Rex made his way through the crowd and approached Vivian.

"Hey Vivian, congrats on awakening your spirit beast." Rex put his forward for a handshake. Seeing this Vivian smiled with a smug on his face and just moved ahead to the next guy giving good wishes. He saw Rex but not only he didn't shake hands with Rex but didn't even acknowledge him.

Rex felt weird as he was left hanging in air, but thought, 'Probably he didn't see me greeting him... Yea the crowd is too big and noisy so he must have missed me.'

So Rex again tried to approach Vivian but suddenly a huge shove landed on his shoulder making him lose his balance and fall onto the floor. Furious Rex tried to get up and hit the pusher back he sat astound as he looked at the attacker.

The guy who attacked him was none other than one of entourage members of Vivian. He was followed by the rest of the members as they surrounded Rex.

"Hey asshole, what is the meaning of this? Why the hell did you push me you son of bitch ?!!" Rex stood dusting his clothes.

"Haha me and son of bitch. You are the real son of a bitch here, no wonder you were abandoned. Even they knew you are just a failed product."

"How dare you say this you f.u.c.ker!!" enraged, Rex threw a punch at the guy, but he dodged and moved out of the way while the other guy threw his leg in between tripping Rex onto the floor.

Seeing this rest of boys moved too and started kicking Rex as he lay onto the floor. "How dare you attack us you Failure." Rex curled into a ball to avoid getting his vital organs getting hit.

"Boys" a voice was heard as the guys stopped kicking Rex. It was Vivian's voice as the boys stopped kicking him and started leaving. "Go back to the kennel you came from bitch. If you try to approach Vivian we will beat you so hard that even you won't recognize yourself." a boy gave warning as he left the scene.

A boy was watching the whole situation as he saw the scene unfold. He left the auditorium and rushed back to the orphanage. Panting he reached the orphanage as he stood in front of Peter.

"Huff... Failed... puff... Rex failed his awakening. Huff huff... Not only did he fail but.. puff he was even beaten by the Vivian's entourage."

Peter smirked, "Hahaha..... Good good good it seems all is going in appropriate direction. Sheena notify all our gang members to assemble quickly. We are going ahead with our plan."

"Yes sir" Sheena smirked.
