The Saint's Trial: Can He Resist Their Charm!?

After propping up Saeko, he told her that they will head towards the west.

"How did you know that west is here?" Saeko couldn't help but ask.

"W-Well, I looked at the sun! Look, it heads towards the Western direction when it sets right? So I just headed there!" although he wanted to tell her about the Menu, Ariel said that it would be better not to tell her first because he still can't protect her if someone got interested in his Menu.

'That's true, I can't even utilize my current strength so it will be dangerous if we bump into someone strong. Later, I will arrange my skills and see what the other functions does the Menu have,' he thought. He put that idea on the 'Memo' section of his Menu.

Heading towards the west hand in hand, Saeko still feels like she's in her dream. Her secret crush now showed that he likes her too. Although there is no burning feeling of love, she knew that it will grow with time.

While both of them were lost in thought, they arrived at a location where a group of people with swords, spear, wand, and a bow, battling a frog similar to what they fought earlier.

After some time, they quickly finished off the frog and the guy with the sword dismantled the frog. The guy with the spear and blonde-haired guy wearing a neck choker and a red jacket started to laze around. From time to time, he would look at the brown-haired girl wearing a light green jacket with perverted eyes. Probably pissed off by the perverted gazes that the blonde man, she glared at him to make him stop.

'Isn't that Lean? Aren't I lucky to meet a known character from the anime from the very first day I got here? Let's try using the new skill that I gained,' Hiroto thought. He immediately did what he thought and activated his Identify skill while looking at Lean.

(A/N: I gave her the last name for a future plot. Also, I'm thinking of drawing a World Map for this world after I introduce some places that are not mentioned in the light novel or the anime. Remember that this is a fanfic and plots don't have to follow the Main Storyline!)

'Wait, what? Does she have a last name? Shame it didn't show her race though. I'm really curious about that fluffy tail of hers,' he thought while looking longingly at the fluffy tail.

After looking at the group for a while, Saeko and Hiroto went on their way towards the west.

Lean is a member of a Party of Adventurers consisting of 4 people. They are; Rein, commonly known as Dust, Taylor, the party leader, Keith, an Archer, and her, a mage.

Usually, they would go on several subjugation quests that aren't that dangerous. They do adventuring for a living so braving dangers aren't their thing.

"Stop looking at me using your perverted gaze! I feel so uncomfortable, with you looking like that at me!" Lean shouted at the perverted asshole.

"Who's gonna look at you with your flat c.h.e.s.t?! Don't be so assuming!" Dust replied. Lean wanted to say something but stopped when she saw 2 people at the corner of her eyes.

Since Hiroto and Saeko are still wearing their school uniforms, they would look conspicuous in this fantasy world. But that wasn't what caught Lean's attention. What caught her attention is Hiroto's features.

Although it is pretty common to see good looking guys in the Axel Town, guys like him who surpass them on looks by a mile are rare.

'I wonder who they are? I think they're new here. I've never seen them in this town before, probably newcomers?' Lean thought.

"Hey, let's finish this up and go to the guild to report the completion of our quest!" she said to her party members.

"Yeah! I'll just finish dismantling this frog and we're good to go!" Taylor replied before going back to doing his work.

While continuing their journey onwards, they stumbled upon a few peculiar events.

The first thing they stumbled upon after seeing the seemingly normal party, besides the perverted blonde guy of course. Is a blonde-haired lady dawning a white armor, shivering in delight while getting pummeled by rusted swords and sticks of a few green-skinned little creatures?

'Isn't that Dustiness Ford Lalatina!?' he thought.

"Isn't that a goblin?" Saeko said.

"Yeah, I think it is. If our fantasy novel knowledge is correct, then that is most certainly a goblin," Hiroto said while using Identify to make sure that it is a goblin.

'Wait, why does it not show 'Goblin' in its name?!' Hiroto exclaimed.

‹That is exactly because Name pertains to your given name. Not the name of your race. If a monster has a given name, then that monster is a unique or legendary monster. Names are like a sacred thing for sentient monsters,› Ariel explained to him patiently.

'Is that so? Now that you've said it, I do remember that strong monsters in games have names that are unique to them,' Hiroto said. While he was conversing with Ariel, a silver-haired lady wearing a minimalistic kind of clothing appeared and killed off all the goblins.

After she killed all the monsters, she looked at the lady with blonde hair, fury visible in her eyes. Seeing this scene, Hiroto and Saeko decided to ignore this peculiar scenario.

"Alright, I think that scene is a little too... weird?" Saeko said awkwardly.

"Hahaha, that is certainly a weird scene to encounter. Who would have thought that there is such a person in this world?" Hiroto said while scratching his cheeks.

"Yeah, it's a really weird happening right?" Saeko agreed in his words.

"Let's just forget about it. I'm sure it's just that girl that has some weird quirks around," he said while he knows that it isn't the case.

'So she is with Darkness around this time of the plot. I'll meet you later, Goddess Eris,' he thought while thinking of a way to prank the cute Goddess.

After some time, they then came to a location where a... lake? Of some sort, is located.

After they reach the location, they saw a girl with brown-haired and crimson eyes that are glowing. She then came to a stop before the lake-like location before the crimson-eyed girl held her staff and muttered something.

Hiroto was excited to see this iconic moment right before his very eyes. The moment he laid eyes on Megumin, he wanted to run towards her and talk to her. But it is obvious that he cannot so he just decided to watch from afar.

After a few minutes of waiting, Megumin raised her staff and pointed it towards the lake-like place and shouted,

"EXPLOOOOOSION!!" right after she said that, a blue-colored mana shot out of the blue ball in her staff and landed on the surface of the lake. Moments after, 6 layers of magic circles appeared right above it and then *BOOOM!* an explosion occurred. Fragments of land and a large amount of water came raining down after a few seconds. As for Megumin? As usual, she collapsed after firing one spell.

"Let's quickly run away from here Saeko! We'll get dirty if we stay here any longer!" Hiroto told Saeko who was still stunned by the previous occurrence.

Running away quickly, they, fortunately, avoided getting a free bath right after transmigrating into another world.

"Haa… haa… haa, that was crazy! I've never seen such a huge explosion right before my eyes!" Saeko exclaimed. The previous occurrence was a first for her. It was such a weird sightseeing a girl smaller than her fire a large area destruction magic up close.

"I know right? I only saw these kinds of things in animes!" Hiroto replied. The adrenaline rush he felt after seeing such a display was still there.

‹Although it pains me to admit it, that little girl is really a genius. Even though the system of this world that they have access to is too little. It is still amazing to see her learn that Explosion magic. I think it costs 40 skill points,› Ariel said in a bit of amazement.

'Yeah, she is quite amazing. Don't you think that she's the once in a millennium genius of this world?' Hiroto asked.

‹I think she is. We just need to upgrade Identify to see her title,› Ariel replied.

'Yeah, I'll upgrade it later. We'll go to Axel Town first and book into an Inn,' he said.

Noticing that Hiroto stopped on his tracks, Saeko looked at him. She saw him lost in thought so she called out to him.

"Hey, Hiroto! Hiroto! Are you ok?" Saeko exclaimed. Surprised by the sudden exclamation, Hiroto's body jolted before looking at Saeko's direction.

"A-Ah, yeah. I'm fine Saeko! I was just lost in thought," he replied to her.

"Is that so? What were you thinking anyway? You look like you're thinking of something complicated," Saeko said with a worried expression. Seeing the worry in her face, he patted her said to reassure her.

"I'm fine Saeko, I just thought of what we will do in the future," he said.

"Let's head towards a town first before you think of anything else!" Saeko said jokingly.

"Hahaha, you are right about that. We first need shelter and then a change of clothes. These clothes are quite conspicuous in this world," Hiroto said.

"You are right, we need a change of clothes. Anyway, it's getting late! Let's go!" Saeko said.

After Hiroto heard her say this, he remembered that they need to reach Axel Town before dawn. So he grabbed Saeko's hand and ran towards the direction of their destination.

Finally, after 4 hours of traveling on foot, they reached the Axel Town, also known as the Town of Beginner Adventurers. It is surrounded by a huge wall made of stone, around 10 meters in height, and the gates are guarded by men wearing full-body plate armor.

"Hey, Hiroto. Don't you think their armors are quite heavy?" Saeko asked.

"Yeah, it looks quite heavy. It's quite impractical if you ask me. They can't catch a thief or something if they wear something that heavy," Hiroto replied while thinking about people encased inside a can, chasing a robber.

'That would make quite the comical sight,' he thought.

"Come on, let's go and book into an Inn," saying this, Hiroto pulled Saeko towards the entrance of the Axel Town. While going towards the town entrance, Hiroto heard Ariel's voice ringing inside his mind,
