The Saint's Trial: Can He Resist Their Charm!?

After meeting the girl who is a perfect example of how a girl that grew up in an aristocratic family acts like. Hiroto did everything that he can so that this crimson-haired Onee-chan would soften to him.

Every day he would visit the Gremory Mansion without fail. The reason why he kept on trying to get along with this crimson-haired girl named Rias is actually quite simple, he wants her to be his very first friend. The first time he visited the Maou's house, he was blatantly ignored by Rias all the time.

"Hello, nice to meet you! My name is Hiwoto! Can we be fwiends Onee-chan?," asked Hiroto to Rias who is currently pouting and facing sideways, ignoring him.

"Ara, it looks like our Rias needs to be disciplined, fufufufu," said Venelana who are watching our interaction from the side. Hearing her mother say such ominous words, Rias was fl.u.s.tered and faced Hiroto.

"I-I'm sorry for being rude to you! W-we can be friends! But I will be the Onee-chan ok?!" Rias was stuttering at the start but returned to her previous attitude quickly.

Although Hiroto was disappointed that she has this attitude, he still wants a friend so he will her for the time being.

"Un! Nice to meet you Wia-chan!," replied Hiroto, obviously oblivious to the fact that he just ignored her the last sentence of her words. Rias who heard how he called her, with such a fancy nickname, got angry at him and raised her voice.

"Why are you calling me that?! Didn't you hear what I said? It's ONEE-CHAN! RIAS-ONEECHAN!"

"But but, Wia-chan is much cutew than Wias-oneechan! Wouldn't it be bad if I called a cute giwl with such a bowing and common nickname?," said Hiroto all the while tilting his head sideways innocently.

Although Rias wanted to exclaim 'Cute!' right now, she wouldn't do it. It is because of her 'dignity' as an heir to the Gremory house that she was able to hold back her impulse to just hug him and exclaim those words.

"E-Even so you should try to not call me Wia-chan, call my name properly ok? If not that I won't allow you to call me by my real name! You will have to call me Princess!," said Rias haughtily. But to those who have seen this, they know that it would only take time for this 'Princess' to soften up.

"O-okay Wia-chan! I will pwactice saying 'Aw' pwopewly!," he promised her.

After this first meeting of theirs, it took Hiroto 3 whole months to correct how he reads the letter 'R'. Those who knew him since he was a baby were shocked to see the little boy work hard at something.

Tannin who saw this decided that he will propose to arrange a marriage for the two kids if they were to develop into lovers in the future. This may sound rash but, it is because Rias is an heir to the Gremory house and a noble that he would try to arrange a marriage for the two. He doesn't want his cute angel to suffer heartbreak.

Days passed by and the two children have become close. Rias sometimes wouldn't allow Hiroto to go home and instead make him stay in her room to sleep. Her family knows that she would not take no for an answer so they let them be. While Sirzechs, Grayfia, and Venelana were happy that Rias is getting closer to Hiroto, only one person is dissatisfied. Yes, it is Zeoticus, Rias' father that is dissatisfied with this. He was planning to make Rias marry one of the major nobles in the Underworld's son to solidify their position and of course, to gain access to one of their family's special products.

Although Rias and Hiroto are close, they are not at that stage where they would promise to marry each other when they are a.d.u.l.ts. They aren't at that stage yet until an incident happened when Hiroto was 3 and a half years old.

Rias and Hiroto are on their way to a possible friend candidate. Venelana told them that the girl is also similar to Rias at some points. Hearing this piece of information, they immediately want to travel and greet this heiress and become their friend.

Arriving at the Sitri house, they were greeted by some maids who led them to the living room. When they arrived, they saw a little girl with black hair and beautiful purple eyes. She was looking at then calmly with an air of someone trying to act m.a.t.u.r.e.

Sona, on the other hand, saw that her visitors have arrived looked at them. She was stunned for a moment when she saw them, Crimson colored hair and blue eyes, she knew this girl because she heard some news from her sister. What surprised her greatly was the boy beside her, silver-blonde with strawberry-blonde strips mixed in. His eyes, who is a bit similar to Rias' eyes were like the vast blue sky, staring at her calmly.

Regaining her 'composure' she got up and introduced herself, "Nice to meet you, I am Sona Sitri, the heir to the Sitri House."

Seeing her greet them in a formal manner, Rias also went ahead and introduce herself too.

"Nice to meet you too, my name is Rias Gremory, heir to the Gremory house," and she did what Sona just did, she held the hem of her skirt and bowed graciously. Seeing their interaction, Hiroto didn't know what to do so he just spoke up and greeted Sona like he always does.

"Hello! My name is Hiroto! Ariyoshi Hiroto! My adopted father is the Ultimate Class Devil Dragon Tannin!," he exclaimed full of pride.

Sona was shocked at his sudden exclamation but was happy to see that the boy greeted her 'normally'. Like Rias, she was irritated that others only see them as 'The Heiress of the Sitri and Gremory House'. They want someone like Hiroto to be a friend, someone who would treat them 'normally'.

After introducing themselves, they engaged in a conversation about their daily lives and whatnot. They learned that both the girls are similar at the fact that, they both hate how others treat them as an 'heiress'. After knowing that, they hit it off pretty well, they would go out and play. Sometimes they would lash out and complain about their frustrations, Hiroto is the one who comforts them when they are frustrated like this. He would hug them and pat the back their back, comb their soft and glossy hair, say some comforting words, and sometimes give them a l.a.p pillow while he was humming an unknown song.

Days passed by like this and became really close, their positions got reversed and Hiroto is now like their older brother. He was calm and collected compared to someone of the same age. Sometimes, their hearts would beat fast when looking at his face for some unknown reason. They are close like friends but not intimate like lovers.

They passed their days treating each other like this but, it all changed one afternoon.

They were having a picnic in the garden of the Sitri house. For the first time, they decided to play house. Rias and Sona decided to use the most ancient way of the devils to decide who will be Hiroto's wife. That's right, they played janken.

The intense battle lasted for 7 rounds until the tie broke and Sona emerged as the victor, she was so happy that she started to jump up and down while Rias pouted while inflating her cheeks. Looking at their reactions, Hiroto decided to comfort Rias by patting her head and he teased Sona for being so excited about it.

Sona got fl.u.s.tered by his teasing and tried to hit him using her cute fists, but before she could hit him, she lost her balance and dived right into Hiroto.

With a loud impact, Sona and Hiroto fell down on the grassy lawn. Hiroto tried to support Sona so that she wouldn't get hurt so, he hugged her waist and prepared for the impact. Feeling the soft grass cushioning their fall, he relaxed a bit but was surprised to feel something soft-land on his lips. Mesmerized by this soft feeling, he unconsciously opened up his lips and closed it again. This time, he tasted the sweet mellowed flavor of honey.

When he opened his eyes, he saw Sona's face so close to him. Her face was redder than a tomato while closing her eyes, also mesmerized by the touch of Hiroto's lips.

Rias who saw all this happen on the sideline felt something clench her heart, she felt like she has to stop them or else she would lose something precious. In her panic she pushed Sona away from Hiroto and now, she copied their previous actions and also put her lips on top of Hiroto's. By doing this, her weird feeling earlier vanished, replaced by the fast beating of her heart and indescribable happiness.

Hiroto was shocked when he saw Rias push Sona away, also feeling disappointed. But he was again attacked by the soft feeling and this time, it tasted like strawberry. He can't get enough of it so he tried to Rias, not letting her escape. They are still kids so they didn't know about french kiss and such, so they only pecked like birds, demanding one another to give them the tasty and soft feeling that they felt more and more.

Getting jealous of their 'selfish' actions, Sona intervened and snatched Hiroto's lips from Rias. They continued like this until they got exhausted, with red faces and ragged breathing, they stopped their actions.

After that incident, they got curious and addicted to that feeling. They started kissing more often when there is nobody around, and would only hug each other when a.d.u.l.ts are around.

The a.d.u.l.ts were surprised and happy that they were now so intimate, except for Zeoticus who is unhappy about this turn of events. He now plans to break their relationship because he already made an agreement with the current Lord of the Phoenix household. Nobody noticed the cold smirk he had on his face while looking at the three children.

Months passed and Hiroto will eventually turn 4 years old in a week.

Rias and Sona are now busy with training their demonic powers so he sometimes doesn't see them for weeks.

He was, at first, saddened by this, but tried to smile and be happy for them. He told them to work hard so that they can achieve their dreams in the future. Sona was happy that Hiroto was supporting her in her dreams, while Rias got mad and thought that he was pushing her away. She thought that she's a high-class devil so she doesn't need to practice these kinds of stuff. She wants to be with Hiroto and play.

Hiroto knew this so he tried to convince her to focus on practicing more, he was asked by Zeoticus that she needs to be stronger so that Rias can achieve her dream to be number 1 in the rating games. Hiroto complied and tried to convince Rias at any given time that they meet. This, in turn, made Rias furious. In her anger, she said that she doesn't want to meet him anymore so don't visit here anymore.

Hiroto got shocked by her words but understood that he was now pestering her. He gave her space and didn't visit her for 3 days.

After 3 days, he tried to visit her but was shocked that the guards didn't let him in. He tried to visit her for the next 2 days but he always gets home dejected.

Reaching the entrance to their house, he heard his father and his older brother Bova conversing.

"Is true father? Rias is now engaged with Riser of the Phoenix house?," asked Bova, shock visible on his face.

"Yes, that is right. I was shocked too, so I went to the Gremory house to ask Grayfia about this. She said that Zeoticus arranged this marriage of Rias with Rise after his agreement with the Lord of the Phoenix house. She said that Rias didn't react to all this and just acted like the way she was before, before meeting our Hiroto, like nothing happened," Tannin answered.

Hearing this piece of news, Hiroto felt like he got struck by lightning. Today was his birthday but, what he received was not a present but heartache. He felt like his heart shattered into a million pieces, feeling more and more painful every second. He plopped to the ground on his knees while holding his c.h.e.s.t, breathing heavily. His tears fell uncontrollably, Hiroto could no longer handle the heartache and slumped to the and fell unconscious.
