The Seeker Of The Flames

Chapter 40 - Elena, Just a Normal Cleric!

—What's Divya thinking with herself? Taking our precious time in such a crucial time... these guys can't have any useful information for us. Yet she insists that they must be related to the East Kingdom or be a spy or something. They're not even normal thieves. These guys are some silly bunch of adventurers who absolutely have no idea of what they're doing. Oh my god, I should just go and finish this ridiculous investigation immediately. It's better to leave them for Oscar and Divya to see it for themselves. There are many other good cases waiting for me.

Phoenix stopped thinking, sitting on the seat before the next arrested member.

Her appearance corresponded to how royalty would dress. The dragon signs on her garments were the same ones as those of royal robes'. It was, without doubt, so suspicious.

Normally, he'd have lengthened the interrogation to get more information. However, the situation seemed different right then. Phoenix just wished to end it and head to the last arrested member. His interest and suspicion left him as he came to face the fact that these people have nothing special or important.

Therefore, he thought it should be better to finish the investigations since spending time on these people would be nothing but a waste of time.

Elena was sitting on the chair, having her hands cuffed behind her. She was putting a soothing, soft smile on her face; however, her expression grew more l.e.w.d and indecent as time passed.

She looked entirely red, blushing and breathing heavily. Phoenix could hear her m.o.a.ns and see the flushing on her cheeks.

"Is there something wrong?"

"No.. Hah Hah... Huh.. Oouhh..."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes! Huuuhh..... Ohh.... Huh huh huh..."

"OK, so... I'm starting to ask questions now. And you should answer. Understood?"

"OHHOHOHHOHH! YES!"

Her m.o.a.nings got louder. He couldn't ignore that. "Are you really sure you're OK? If the handcuffs are hurting you, I can take them off."

"No! No! Huh... OhOHOH! They're a little bit loose... Heh HHUUH OHH... so please don't hesitate to them even tighter!"

"I think it's fine then. All right then answer my questions honestly so you can get out of here quickly."

"I mean," she said, m.o.a.ning with p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e and panting in short breaths at the same time, "it's fine even if you let me stay here for a bit more time!"

He coughed after hearing that, starting to interrogate:

"Who are you? What's your name? Where's your homeland?"

"I... I... I-I'm from the north, a small... OHOHOOHH... village... Huhhuhuh... in the north! My name is... OUUUHH... Oouhh... Elena! Ahhh Ahh Ahh OhuhHU OHHUUH. I'm a cleric!"

"A cleric? But anyways, the next question... Why have you come to Seora?"

"F-for...OAAAAAAAAH!"

Elena's noises of p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e and m.o.a.ns started to get louder. She was also breathing faster than before. Those sounds filled the white room with her strong passion, as her inhalings and exhalings changed the air around her to a sensual, l.u.s.tful atmosphere.

The passionate look in her eyes implied how much she was enjoying her conditions.

"Oh, are you fine?" Phoenix asked, keeping a frown while maintaining his serious gesture and solid voice.

"Y-YESSS! Yeah! I'm fine!"

"Let's continue then..."

"YES! YESS! YESSSSSS!"

Going for another false cough to change the mood, Phoenix repeated his last question.

"Why have you come to Seora?"

"I just followed Aaa... AHHUUU OHHH! OHHH! AUHH! Arian!"

"I see... why did you steal that farmer's carriage?"

"I... AUGHUHU OHHOOHH... I needed it for my quest!"

Phoenix no longer cared about her answers. He had heard enough nonsense that he couldn't bear with it anymore. He just wanted to ask all of the questions and leave the room immediately, finishing this trivial talk as soon as possible. His ears could no more handle her annoying sounds.

"All right then, last questions: Are you an adventurer? Are you a member of Arian's party? What's your rank?"

"YESSSS! YESSSSSSSSSS! And AHHH OHHH... 0G6 IAUOHOHOHH...."

Hearing her response, he instantly pulled his chair back and stood up to leave the room.

"Ok, then I'm done here!"

After leaving the room, Phoenix sighed.

"Finally! I thought it's going to last forever. Let's just go for the other one and finish it already! A stupid man, a crazy girl, a perverted woman... what's gonna be next? A—"

As he wanted to continue talking with himself, a loud sound of explosion cut in his words.

The building started shaking for a few seconds. He could feel the floor quaking under his feet.

"What was that?"

Phoenix appeared so confused. His impenetrable look faded away as a surprised, suspicious expression replaced it. He kept glaring while trying to realize the situation.

That loud blast was coming from the room that he was supposed to interrogate the last arrested member of Arian's group.

"Damn! I should hurry up!"

He began charging his feet and running through the hall, entering where the explosion had happened.
