The Seeker Of The Flames

Chapter 8 - She's the Oracle

Walking n.a.k.e.d and wearing nothing, Adin went straight forward, looking for the door which Freya had told him about. It didn't take long before he came to see the golden sparkles. There was a well-polished wooden doorpost with two golden dragons engraved on the top.

As he pushed the door onwards, it swung open wide with a strident echoing creak of metal against the wood. Adin could smell a rich aroma the moment he walked inside, a soft floral scent, coming from every inch of the place.

The room was fairly large; it looked more like a hall than a personal room for the Oracle. Since she couldn't get out of there at all, it was necessary to provide her a comfortable place to live.

After looking at his surroundings, he saw nothing but expensive-looking and aristocratic kinds of stuff. The hall was furnished with a king-size bed, set at the end of the room, some stylish portraits adorning the walls, wall-to-wall carpeting, two couches embellished with shining layers of silk in the middle of the room, chairs, tables with mirrors, and various doors at the sides.

Adin glimpsed a figure sitting on one of those appealing couches. She appeared as a stunning beauty, possessing an irresistible, charming smile with seductive, glamorous green eyes. Her see-through outfit, made of white Alencon lace, revealed her light skin and tempting body.

She directed her eyes to where Adin was standing, calling him with a light attracting tone:

"So, you're finally here."

A hopeful and delighted twinkle had come into her eyes.

"Hmm... so you're the Oracle?" Adin asked.

"Yes! But please call me Ena!" the soft, gentle voice once again blessed the air with lightness and delight. "Why don't you have a seat?"

Adin started to step ahead, reaching where she was sitting. He sat on the settee next to her. The second he took a seat, he could feel the softness of the cushions. It was immensely convenient and absolutely comfortable.

"Orac—I mean Ena, I'm Adin, Adin the immortal!"

"I know, I've been waiting for you."

"Huh? Well, that's unexpected. So you should know why I'm here, right?"

"Yes, I can fulfill your d.e.s.i.r.e!"

"Really? How? Tell me, what should I do?"

Adin looked so delighted to finally see a glimmer of hope. For once in a long time, his eyes carried excitement instead of boredom.

"Be patient, Demon King!" Ena demanded, keeping her gentle smile.

The Demon King couldn't wait anymore; he wanted to die more than anything else, and she knew how. How could he stay calm when the key to his only d.e.s.i.r.e existed before him?

However, before he could express anything, Ena began talking first:

"As the Demon King, you've done so many horrible deeds in your life. You're the cruelest entity in the world. You're the most heartless, ruthless ruler of all time. You are the Demon King who puts the utmost fear inside of the brave men's hearts. Only a glimpse of your eye is enough to inflict pain on your enemies. You're known as the most dangerous enemy of mankind in history. The legends cannot describe the depth of your cruelty, and humanity is unable to understand your astounding inhumanity. You're the most sadistic being who enjoys torturing and breaking everyone."

Ena's heart began throbbing harder and harder after every single second of saying those words. Her heart was beating faster and faster as time passed more and more. Her gentle, innocent smile turned to become wilder and stronger, showing her eagerness and excitement through the blush crossing her cheeks. Her breath started to come in short, quick gasps of passion, breathing in faster paces over time.

"I, on the other hand, as the Oracle of the realm, have always been innocent and vulnerable in my life, soft like a breeze and kind like a mother. I've endured a lot of pain, but my soul has never become black, always bright and full of lightness. I've been oppressed by so many people. I'm the only one in my life who's been getting hurt."

Heartbeat speeding up, cheeks blushing in excitement and thrill, gasping in p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e and enthusiasm, her gesture looked so lecherous and lascivious, and no trace of that soft innocent expressions had remained on her countenance. Her l.e.w.d, sultry eyes looked so passionate and excited. The changes in her tone could easily be noticed while she was speaking, turning from a tender voice to a l.u.s.tful, sensual one.

"Destiny has brought us to each other. Our d.e.s.i.r.es cling together so strongly. Don't you think so?"

Adin really didn't give so much attention to her change of behavior and voice. He didn't even pay attention to her words, only waiting for her to finish so he can ask how to die.

"Yeah, yeah. That's right. So, now can you fulfill my d.e.s.i.r.es?"

Ena started standing up. She then stepped toward one of the doors in corner of the room, pointing at Adin: "This place is where I can make your wish come true. Join me!"

Leaving the door opened, Ena entered inside.

Meanwhile, Adin got lost in his deep emotions. All of his feelings in his immortal life had assembled to strike him at that moment.

"I can't believe, I'm finally going to die! I can't control my emotions... How many years has it been? Just for how many years I've been tortured by this boring life? Now after all of this time, I'm going to know a way to die. Am I in heaven? Is this a dream? I... just... can't... believe...it. But yes, she said she can take me there, take me to death. So I'm finally going to be free..."

Adin's view started to be blurred and hazy, crying tears of joy and relief. He never thought this day would come when he can end this boring, repetitive life.

He wiped his tears away and moved to the room that Ena had told him to join her there. Feeling joyful and hopeful, he stepped inside to finally get rid of his boring life.
