The Sharingan Hyuga

The kimono girl and the pale-skinned boy bowed in return "Hello". Shuichi, Instead of a greeting, he asked, "Can I join any other team?". The three were surprised upon hearing his question while Yugao frowned "you want to quit the team?".

Shuichi looked at her "Iruka sensei informed me that there were no potential teammates in the academy. So, he said Hokage sama arranged me a team with potential candidates but after coming here".

He looked at them coldly "All I see a frail weak person who seemed like she hasn't even trained in physical combat at all and the second one is a person from the root".

Then, the pale-skinned boy smiled "do you have a problem with the root, Hyuga san". Shuichi replied "no, but I have a problem with a root member as my teammate. tell me. will you assassinate me if Danzo sama ordered?".

He replied without any hesitation "yes". Then, he asked, "will you sabotage our mission and trap Yugao sensei and capture that girl if he ordered?". He unhesitatingly answered "yes, but Danzo sama wouldn't do something like that. He is an elder who protects the village".

Then, while folding his hands, Shuichi looked at Yugao "See, do you expect me to trust someone like that whose loyalties lie somewhere else".

Then he pointed his finger towards her "and why is she even here. say, what shinobi wear a Kimono on training grounds?".

"With that said, can I quit the team?". The girl replied, "you are an extremely arrogant prick. you white-eyed freak". He snorted "Hmpf, this is Byakugan, One of the greatest kekkai genkai you know. What do you know? I've never seen you at the academy. you are neither from a root-like him. So, special permission? and yet you look weak. doesn't look like dieting. So, I guess, you are born this way. I'm not sure whether you can become a ninja. you will just drag us down".

She became speechless and want to retort but he hit it where it hurt. because years ago, She heard the same thing from a Konoha jonin.

Yugao then interrupted "enough Shuichi. whether they will become potential teammates or not, you can only find out after completing missions together. As for whether you want to quit, I'm afraid there's no jonin available to teach you. They even pulled me out of the Anbu to train you together. As for what Danzo do, you leave it to Hokage sama. you trust him right. Now, introduce yourselves so we can finish this thing".

"Hello, I'm Sai, Um, I don't have any goals or dreams. I don't have a thing I particularly like but recently there's this book called Understanding people's feelings which I began to like it. I'm proficient in Kenjutsu and Fuinjutsu".

"Hello, I'm Yakumo, heiress of the Kurama clan. just like this white eye said, I'm born with a weak body so, I can't train in ninjutsu and certain in taijutsu. But, I'll become a great ninja with genjutsu. Oh, by the way, I'm a vegetarian. so, I don't like meat ".

Shuichi was surprised but didn't show it on his face "I'm Shuichi Hyuga. I like my family. I don't particularly like any food but I like reading books especially those which have a history of either Konoha or other villages. I also like training in Ninjutsu but as a Hyuga, My father doesn't want me to learn it. So, I expected someone who can teach me ninjutsu but didn't expect I would end with getting a Kenjutsu user as sensei".

The atmosphere became cold for a while again. "Ok, since our introductions are over, follow me". The three of them followed her to the middle of the forest. Then, she turned back "OK, here's the test for you which decide whether you three become a genin. It is a treasure hunt. you three have to find it together". Then, she disappeared.

Shuichi opened the scroll. while Sai came near him to look at the mission, Yakumo stayed there and hesitating to go near him. Shuichi looked at her "What are you waiting for? come here and look. I won't bite you".

Only then, she went near and she looked over and said "looks like a map doesn't it?. So, what she wants us to find?". Shuichi replied "no instructions, I guess we have to look for clues in the map".

Then, he looked at Sai "any ideas?". He replied while pointing finger at himself and putting a fake smile "you will take advice from me?". Shuichi replied "who else is there?. and stop putting that fake smile. It's irritating".

Sai mumbled, "but according to the book, people give the nice impression when they smile". Shuichi replied "first impressions can be changed by actions. If you want me to trust you, then, prove it by your actions".

Sai looked carefully at the map "this is the map of this forest right". Shuichi nodded "I believe so, as you can see this one is Naka river, which exactly passes through just outside of the forest". Then, Yakumo said "first we have to determine at the position which we are currently at. We don't know the area of this forest. so, we don't know the scale of this map".

Shuichi nodded "true, My Byakugan can see up to half km at most. So, if we can choose a known location on this map, we can start our plan from there".

They started walking while Shuichi directing the route his Byakugan. After half n hour, they reached a pond. "Ok, what now?".

Then, they again checked their map and found nothing unusual. they kept discussing for 15 minutes while cracking the map. Yakumo who wasn't in their discussion looked at the map backside while they raised it.

"guys". "huh?". "we're fools to notice this simple thing?". "What is it Kurama san?".

"Flip the map over". Shuichi flipped it with a confusion "huh?". there is a note on it with big letters "Go to the hill on the right. The second clue will be found there".

Shuichi mumbled "how come I didn't realise it when I opened the map. I should've seen it". Yakumo snorted "Hmpf, you are just like your byakugan. you can see so far that you forget to see what's in front of you".

Shuichi stunned for a while and looked at the clue and her for a few seconds. "What?". He shook his head and they continued their search.

Then, after a while, they went to the small hill while the three of them talking about abilities. Yakumo shared her past a little bit like how her private tutor Kurenai sensei gave up on her and sealed her power. They reached the place which is marked on the map but they found nothing there. Shuichi said, "look around, you will find something. Kurama san, you stick with me. Sai, use your whatever that ink jutsu you have and find some clues in the area. let's split up".

While Shuichi and Yakumo walking together around the hill, Shuichi said "Kurama san". "Yes". "I apologize for my rude words earlier. I didn't know you had that kind of past. I shouldn't have judged a book by its cover. If your genjutsu powers are sealed for real, then, they must be too strong to control. I see that's why that guy is here". "huh?".

"To put it simply, If your other personality, the so-called Ido control you, then, with your illusion, you could kill thousands of civilians without them knowing it wasn't real. that means if your seal ever broke, Sai will exterminate you. I guess that was his mission".

She stopped "huh? kill me? why? I haven't done any harm to anyone". Shuichi looked coldly at her "say, tell me. for suppose, you learned that you have symptoms of a fever. then, what will you do?. will you wait for it to become worse or will you just kill the virus by taking medicine?".

She stunned and stood there for a while "so, I'm a virus? What should I do? It's not my fault that I have another personality in my mind". Shuichi replied "It's simple though. you just have to make friends with your other personality or have to make some kind of deal with her. hmm, I can help you meet your subconscious. but my chakra control isn't perfect yet. so, you have to wait for some time".

She bowed "Thank you". He waved "It also need Hokage's supervision. But first things first. Let's complete our first mission. shall we?".

While they were chatting and searching for the next clue. unknown to them, In the Hokage Office, Hokage was observing them in a crystal ball while stroking his beard "Oh! It's already successful?. It seems they both have already bonded. Only that poor boy left. Now, let's see what is Naruto doing?".

Later, Sai found a scroll on the top of the hill which is completely hidden by a rock. Shuichi was surprised "how did you find this scroll which is completely hidden?. He pointed out a small ink mouse "with that?". "wow, it seems you aren't that bad". He took the scroll which read "Now, the next mission is to find the treasure box". Then, he opened the scroll and read

"I'm travelling to the place where butterfly travels towards, I have no fixed spot, so I when I found a pond, I built my house beside it and stayed there for many years but the climate started to change and became chilly.

so, in search of a warm place, I roamed all the place and finally found a huge cave with several tunnels and took a random one and buried myself there. If only I know the way to the treasure is right beneath me for so long, I would easily claim the treasure. go forth and find the treasure young man".

Upon reading it, all three became a blank face for a while. Yakumo gulped and said, "Say, guys instead of mission letter, doesn't it seem more like a dying letter?". Sai started to think and mumbled "probably Konoha didn't found the treasure and used our test as an excuse to assign us free mission?
