The Soul Of Lucifer

After choosing a class, Sun Reed cultivated during his stay in the Spring Gang and studied for the Examination at home for the next five days.

Tomorrow will be the Examination. It consists of an ability testing part and a theory part.

The theory part will be no problem since he had memory enhancement.

He focused most of his time on cultivating his class. For a student to enter a renowned Magic School, one must have reached Beginner 2.

There are 3 Levels in one Rank. Sun Reed just started recently and was a Beginner 1.

People with an influential background had done the Soul Hall much earlier, thus had also more time to cultivate.

Sun Reed was a normal citizen, therefore, he had no privileges and could only enter the Soul Hall one week before the examination.

Luckily he cultivated very fast and steady under the guidance of Minerva. Although the transformation class was very different from the normal classes, the foundation was still the same.

Sun was sitting inside his room and focused on his Soul behavior. He tried to absorb the energy of nature and convert them into molecules of magic.

"Building up a steady foundation is very important for your future cultivation ...", the lessons of Minvera resounded in Sun's mind.

Although Sun made fast progress, he felt it wasn't enough. The examination will be held tomorrow and he needed to reach Beginner 2 in order to begin his ascension.

"Even though Magic is important, you still can't neglect your physical form. The stronger your physical form gets, the stronger your magic will be!", suddenly Sun remembered this part of Minerva's lesson.

"Hmm, maybe I should try this!", that lesson inspired Sun and he summoned his Lucifer form.

"The stronger the physical body, the stronger the magic, so it may work for accelerating my cultivation!"

He sat down again and started to recite the Mythic Transformation.

Some hours later, his body began to ache.

*Boom*

Sun felt as if his body was freed from the chains that once held him up.

His mind was clearer and his body felt lighter.

Sun succeeded in becoming a Beginner 2!

Looking at the clock. It was already 10 PM.

He cultivated for a whole day. The examination was tomorrow, so he wanted to rest early.

Sun already memorized all the basic theories about magic, so he needn't worry about that.

The next day came and Sun prepared to visit the Magic Examination Bureau early in the morning.

On the way, he thought, that he didn't talk to Will or Rose in the latest days.

Sun came to Minerva, cultivated and got some pointers and left for home to cultivate further.

He was so obsessed with getting into a good school, that he forgot to take care of his friendship.

"I'll treat them to dinner after getting my results!"

The Magic Examination Bureau was in downtown. It was no problem for Sun to find the place.

The interior design of the Bureau was just as great as the Soul Hall. There were many people standing in a line to take the exam.

The exams were scheduled and Sun still had two hours of waiting.

A group of guys noticed him and started talking about Sun. Since the first part was the written part, it was rather strange to use the time to cultivate before the exams.

"Bro, you cultivate before the exam?", a boy walked towards Sun.

He had short blonde hair and decent looks. The clothes were from top brands, so Sun assumed the boy was from a noble background. The smile of the boy's face turned cold as he noticed something.

"You're human?", the boy walked closer to Sun and realized that he had no aura.

"Yes, so what?", Sun was really annoyed about getting disturbed during his cultivation.

"Good luck, ha!", the boy said in an arrogant voice and walked off.

The name of this boy was Marvin Herrmann. His family owned a large insurance company and therefore had many contacts to other influential people.

Marvin was one of those, who looked down on humans. They thought themselves superior to humans.

Marvin thought that Sun doesn't have what it takes to enter a great magic school.

Sun was wondering about the boy who just came to him to wish 'good luck'. From the looks, it didn't look well-meaning.

"Students enlisted for the exam from 11 AM to 3 PM, please prepare and enter the door.", the sound of an old man echoed from a Magic Orb and simultaneously a big door opened.

It was Sun Reed's turn, so he entered the door along with a few who had the same exam time. Marvin and his friends were also listed for this time.

By that time, Sun had already forgotten about the incident. He didn't care about some show-offs who meant to him.

If they wanted to fight him, they had no chance against Lucifer's Soul. His Soul Power was just too amazing.

Every kind of magic would be nullified except physical magic attacks because he can only nullify magic he can see, but weapons and physical attacks are still effective against him.

The examination area inside was divided into many smaller rooms. Each room had one inspector. The inspector was in charge of checking the written part and rating the magical abilities.

Every student will have their own room when they were tested.

After entering the big door, each student received a number. The number was corresponding to a room number.

"923", the number appeared on Sun's hand.

After a quick search, Sun was able to locate it. Standing in front of the room, he breathed deeply and thought.

"This is just the beginning of my ascension. I will show the world my talent!"

The door was pushed open and Sun entered the room.

It was relatively small and had two desks, one of the student and one for the inspector.

The inspector was a man in his mid-forties. He looked incredibly dashing despite the age. The man wore a black coat with silver knobs. The wide shoulders made him look titanic.

The inspector stood up as he saw the student entered the inspection room and prepared the pen and paper.

"I'm Daniel Weiss. I'm the one who's going to examine you today. Please take your seat. You have two hours for the test and the other two hours will be I use to rate your Soul Power.", he said in a rough voice.
